Hi guys so over the last 6 months I have lost 84 pounds (6 stone) in weight.

Before 252 Pounds (18 Stone)

After 168 Pounds (12 Stone)

My advice to people trying to lose weight is to keep it as simple as possible. Don't make it too complicated. I found that if I followed complicated diets or restricted diets that I just failed. Instead I just thought "When I go and get something to eat I will just pick something healthy". This really worked for me. Rather than spending time writing out a diet plan I just spent a few seconds before each meal deciding what the healthiest option would be. And it worked.

I hope this inspires others to do the same

Good luck.

Well done! How old and how tall are you? Has the skin around your stomach snapped back?

Very impressive!

thanks for the amazing comments everyone.

NolaRob i'm 19 years old and 5,9. Yes the skin has snapped back great, still got a little belly but am working on it with exercise and it's getting much flatter and defined as time goes on. I've been doing my current exercise routine for the past two weeks and am noticing a significant difference already.

So with a bit of hard work everything should go back to normal.

I think you're spot on about not making it complicated. I truly do think that it comes down to calories in vs. calories out. Congratulations.

Good job....I too had a hard time following complicated diets at first but after I got the hang of "what to eat" it was pretty easy. Keep up the good work!

Wow dude, huge difference! Good effort! Sorry but can I ask for a bit more detail on how you done it please ?

thanks everyone,

@MrJ i've put my full story of how I did it up on my website. I can't post a link on this forum because I've been told off for doing it previously but if you just search google for "lighter happier" it will come up.

I basically did it through diet and exercise. However exercise really helped me reach my goals quicker. I got a personal trainer and was having one session every week. He kept telling me to go on my own but I kept not going. But even with one personal training session a week, I was losing like 3-5 pounds per week. So I guess I didn't see the point in going more lol.

I pretty much found that as long as you do sufficient exercise, after a couple months you don't really need to watch what you eat so much. Now I can indulge myself but it just doesn't make me gain weight, if anything I'm still losing.

So yeh, I would recommend anyone who wants to lose weight quickly but healthy, to focus more on exercise, it's unfortunate that we have to do exercise, but in order to remain healthy we have to. However now I find that I really enjoy it and I look forward to my workout sessions (never ever thought I would say that lol).

With regards to diet, for the first two months I went completely cold turkey, no snacks, crisps, chocolate. I completely cut all the unhealthy food out. This helped as it got rid of the cravings. Then once I came off cold turkey, I did start to eat unhealthy food, but not in the huge portion sizes I once had. I didn't want to. Alot of the time I would just have a mouthful because mainly all I wanted was the taste. If my friend was sat there eating chocolate cake, instead of grabbing a slice, i would just have a taste and my cravings were satisfied.

So all in all what worked for me was cold turkey and exercise.
