Bellaryna's Journey

Wow oh Wow!
Fantastic Results so far!
:hurray:

Good for you, I'm so proud of ya. :)

I would love to do Zumba!!

Any dance class for that matter...heehee...

Latin is the best though as far as helping with weight-loss AND gettin' tone.

Have A Great Weekend Sweetie! :waving:

<3 Stacy

Hey Stac!!!
Good to hear from ya.
I love the Zumba. In fact I think I may be addicted. LOL
I guess there are worse things to be addicted to!!!! :biggrinjester: LOL

I am really liking the Zumba classes that I have been going to. For too long I let my insecurity of having 2 left feet and no rhythm keep me from going to the class. But now that I have some idea of how most of the routines go I am really liking it. And learning how to laugh at myself!

I have been going to every class that I can, one of the perks of being an employee at the Y. I can take all the classes I want.
So last week I made it to 4 of the Zumba's and 2 Powercores.
This week it will be 7 Zumba's hopefully. M-1, T-2, W-1, Th-2 and F-1.
Unfortunately due to other previously scheduled things I won't be able to get to my Powercore classes.

Weighed myself over the weekend and hit a new low of 203.2#'s. Putting me at just shy of an 8 pound loss. Last night when I got home from work I felt "lighter".
Don't know if I can explain that any better. Except to say that I "think" I can feel that I have lost 7.8 pounds. My pants are feeling just a little bit looser. Not all cuttin' me in 1/2 like they were 3 1/2 weeks ago.

Food has still been going well. Will journal all that in a seperate post.
Except I will say this. MIL came over yesterday and made lunch for everyone. I am very proud to say that I actually weighed out all my food. One ounce portions. Rice, Beans, Chicken, Bread. Of course I had a HUGE helping of salad. :)
Everyone looked at me weird but you know what I was not going to let one dinner set me back after all the work that I have put in.

Yesterday was my Step-son's 18th b-day. It is sooo hard to believe that he is 18 years old. He was 5 when Gil and I got married. The same age as my young son right now. I don't know if I am ready for Alex to be 18 and I know for sure that I am not ready for another 13 years to fly by and have my youngest heading off to college too.
We will be celebrating Alex's b-day today since he spent yesterday with his mother. As he should have. :)
We always let the kids decide where they want to have their B-day dinner. Alex, God love him, has expensive tastes! Tonight will be a Red Lobster night. I think the last time we went to Red Lobster was for one of his b-days. Last year was Texas Roadhouse.
So I plan to be proactive and check out cal counts before we get there.

Well the kids had another 2 hour delay. Again!!! :dupe:
This now makes like......7-8 delays as well as 5-6 snow days. How they can possibly be learning anything I don't know. Alex says that the delay was for Fog. Where??? There's no fog here. Jokingly Alex said they "the school" heard there was fog over in Illinois and called a 2 hour delay in advance of it arriving here! LOL :smilielol5: Gotta love that boys witty sense of humor!

Well if I am going to get my food journaled than I need to wrap this one up.
Hope everyone has a great day!!!

AWESOME!!!!
Glad to hear that you are having success' as well.
Me ever being at 139 seems surreal.
That's why this time around I am taking it one day at a time.

Way to go Val!!!

Congrats on the continued weight loss! I'm really impressed at how dedicated you have been lately. Your discipline is rock solid atm. Keep up the great work! :)

I told David how many delays and snow days your kids have had so far, and he's jealous..lol.

Happy 18th to Alex!

Perhaps you should change your name to Zumbaryna. :D

Just wanted to stop in and say hey! I found out what I am having!!!!

(you're doing so well with staying accountable to your exercise and what you are eating! I should probably start doing that again...but I have a horrible case of the lazies! :nopity: haha! ) Miss y'all! :grouphug:

Yikes!! :willy_nilly:
I've got like 3 days worth of catching up to do on my accountability and like no time to do it in.
In fact I really shouldn't be on here right now.
Thanks Kimberly for stopping by and encouraging me. Ya know how much that means to me. ":beating:" Love the Zumbarynna!!! LOL :smilielol5: I have now been to 8 days straight of it. And let me tell you girl I can shake it with the best of them now!!! hahaha

Kristi!!!
Sooo good to hear from you.
What a tease you are! Telling me that you found out what you were having and then not telling me.........:p
Glad that things are going so well for you.
Hopefully I'll get more time tonight and I can pop over on your journal.

Okay so here is the deal.......
if I can get all my computer related work done tonight I will jump back in here and check up on everyone. And update my food.
But let me tell ya what. There is one day that started out well but kinda ended not so well, if ya know what I mean. :smilielol5: Oh well. We all have those days.
Ciao for now.

Hey all!

Things around here for the past 2 weeks have been busy, busy, busy!!! x's 10!!! :willy_nilly::willy_nilly: :smilielol5: :willy_nilly::willy_nilly:
I don't have much time to go into everything right now.
Suffice it to say this next week will be much more my speed.
I will jump on here on Monday and get all things great and small sorted out.
Between MIL's departure, my mom's issues, work at the DC, work at the YMCA, housework (yeah like I got time for that! haha), b-ball practice (I'm coaching a 3rd grade team of girls..........pray for me! LOL), b-ball games, taking pictures for the entire b-ball league and just life in general you can see how busy I have been. Add to that shoveling the drive virtually everyday and Zumba~ing at every chance I can get and it is a wonder that there is even time for me to breathe let alone pop on here to say hey to all my buddies.
Well sorry that this has been so short.
I promise a nice long letter on Monday.
Right now I got to head off to bed. Tomorrow is church and the DC wants all of us (those on my shift) to come in tomorrow 1 hour early. That way we can be done hopefully before the Superbowl really gets going.
So if I am going to be able to actually function at a useful level I will need to catch some sleep.
I'll chat at everyone in a few days!
Love ya all!
Ciao

Girl, I have no idea how you do it! You truly are superwoman. What's this about MIL's departure? Did she go back to PR?

Hang in there! I hope you managed to get some sleep! :hug2:

Hey Dawn I couldn't stay away, had to come in here and check up on my oldest friend (sorry, earliest friend, you aren't old). You are doing amazing as usual and I truly love that avi pic. It's my favorite so far.

See ya around hun!!! :hug2:

Hey there Karl!!! :seeya:
I sure have missed seeing ya around. So sorry that I have been a bad pen-pal here in the last few weeks.
Things have just gone crazy :willy_nilly: around here.
I'll pop over and check up on ya today for sure.
Mwah!

Okay I know I said that I was going to pop on here on Monday and give you guys the low down on what was going down around here, but we all know how things can go outta whack real fast.
Kids woke up in the middle of the night with temps of 102.2 and 102.8.
Scared the crap outta me as my kids almost never, and I mean never, have fevers. And definately not that high even when they do have infections of one kind or another.
Of course it didn't help my sense of calm when I later heard on the news that a 14yr old boy that lives just south of me had came down with Bacterial Menigitous (sp) and passed away on Saturday.
I immediately got the kids appts to the doc and raced them over to him.
Was informed that they were ok that there was a very bad viral infection going around. Apparently it's #1 thing that it gives you is a very high fever. And lots of kids around here were getting it.
So things being as they were the kids did not go to school and I pretty much was at their beck and call. They still have a bit of the fever but it is not nearly as bad as it was earlier. I have been dosing them with Tylenol and Motrin on the every 2 hour schedule. They finally went to school today. So today is the first day that I have been able to sit down and actually turn the computer on let alone look at anything on it. LOL
I have been doing okay with the eating. Not as good as I was before. I really need to get back into the accountability thing. Seems that if I don't "have" to write it down anywhere I just don't know how to make good choices. I think I may have gained back about 3 pounds. Didn't have the courage to weigh myself this morning.
So first things first..........tomorrow I will weigh myself and post the number. And beginning tomorrow I will once again be back at the accountability thing. It kills me to think that I will have to start all over again. I had come so far with it. Sigh
I am still Zumba~ing. I even bought one of the shirts that they sell with the logo on it. Depending on how I look in it I just might post a pick for you all to see.
I didn't get to Zumba at all this week for obvious above stated reasons. But tomorrow I am back on. In fact I plan to hit the 5am class as well as the 8:30am class.
No reason not to jump in with both feet, right? (chuckling)
Well for now that really is all the time I have. I got to get to picking my house up before I have to go to the school to get my kids.
I think I may have some time tonight to pop on here. Hopefully. We'll see. As I have to coach b-ball tonight. And that could very well just take all I got. LOL
Catch ya'll later!
Ciao

Goodness Gracious!!!
I can't believe that I forgot to mention this! :svengo:
Last week we visited Chicago for the Health Challenge at the Y and we had to climb the Sears Tower. Which when worked out came to climbing up into the Fitness Center 110 times!!!!! :ack2:
We could do it all at once and earn bonus points or we could spread it out over the whole week.
I climbed it all at once and did it in an hour!!!
Woohoo for me.
I did feel like I was going to die by the time I got to 100. And I really was honked at myself 'cuz I forgot to wear my heart rate monitor. I have to think that my heart was waaaaaaay up there. 'Cuz it for sure felt like it was going to pop outta my chest. In a good way though, hahaha
In all I ended up climbing 2,109 stairs!
Torching over 800 cals according to The Daily Plate.
I am actually considering trying to do it again to see if I can do it faster. Or at least see how far I get before I feel like I just can't do anymore. For the record that number was somewhere in the 60-70 range (remember I had to climb it 110 times). I think that in the long run it would make a super addition to my workout routine.
MAN!!!!
What a workout that was.
Oh and by the way over in Chicago they actual have an event that gets together every November to raise money for cancer research. It is called Go Vertical Chicago.
The record for climbing the Sears Tower was set in 2005 at 13 minutes and 26seconds. Obviously they don't have to worry about me breaking that one. :smilielol5:
I think that if I keep up with the stairs that I might actually give it go this coming November.
Wouldn't that be a hoot?

God bless all you mamaz that give of yourselves so freely to us kiddos. You are an :Angel_anim: .

and YES zumba is the bestest!!

I can't imagine climbing that many steps at one time...I bet you wanted to yell when you got to the top...oh VICTORY!!
