Bellaryna's Journey

Thanks Kimberly for stopping by.
I was beginning to think that none of my forum buddies were around anymore.
Things seem to have settled back to some sense of normal. Or at least what normal is around here. LOL
I had no time yesterday to get on here like I wanted to, to update on my food that is. So I am going to try my best to list things, but I am pretty sure that I will miss a few things here and there.
Got to my PowerCore class tonight. Felt good to get moving again.
We worked the legs pretty hard. I am sure that I will be feeling that tomorrow! :smilielol5:
Didn't drink my water like I should have over the weekend. More due to the fact that we were traveling on the road for 3-4 hours in both directions and I didn't want to be stopping every 45 minutes to go potty.
So today I am trying to get my water content back up to the 100oz.
So far I am at about 44oz. Not nearly where I would like it but then again not so far off that I still can't make my goal.
Hubby and I went to this place in Indy for the weekend that was totally AWESOME!!!
It had a pool in the room!!!! :biggrinjester: Plus a "steaming" room aka sauna.
As well as a fireplace, and a jacuzzi tub.
The place was the BOMB!
There were no windows so it was totally and completely secluded. We had our very own cottage.
Cost a bit more than I would have liked but that was mostly due to the fact that we stayed over on the weekend.
Well if I am going to get my food all journaled than I need to cut this short.
I will try to get to everyone's journal's later today/tonight. But with the big snow storm that is headed this way I may not since I need to get to the store to pick up meds and groceries.
Catch ya'll later.

Now get that water content up--your body needs it to function properly and lose weight. ;)

Love ya, dear. :beating:

There ya are!!!
Glad to hear from ya, LOL
I figured as the time gets closer for little dude to get here you'll be here less and less.
Kicking :banghead: myself over my lack of water consumption.
So far today has gone well.
Except for the kids are once again home from school and may very well be home for a few more days if the weather turns out the way they say it will.
Blah!!
Was looking forward to "me" time.
Oh well. Whatcha gonna do, right?
So anyway I got to thinkin' about why it never seems that I am able to get down past a certain number on that scale.
I think that I may have hit on something.
Back when I was younger, 15-16, when I weighed a healthy weight we never ever took pictures. In fact I don't think that we even owned a camera. Soooo I think that my major obstacle is this:
I don't have a clue what I would look like at a healthy weight.
So every time I get close to the last weight I can remember what I looked like I just sorta stop trying.
So for kicks and giggles I decided to photoshop my self over the top of Ali's body (Biggest Loser's 1st woman winner). Since Gil says that "he knows that I can get to that size". So this is the result of all that hard work.
I figure hubby is right since Ali and I are the same height as well as started out at the same weight.
I'm gonna hang it on my fridge to remind myself that I can look that good!
Oh yeah!!!! :biggrinjester:

NICE!

Dawn, it sounds like your very distinct lack of "Me Time" and attention-seeking mom very much sabotages your weight loss efforts. If only your mom had a hobby to keep her busy and happy.....

If only that were possible. *sigh*
At least she is settling down now that I told her I won't be sitting at the hospital with her.
There have been no more "infections". Only pharmacy runs. Which I can handle.
Good hearing from ya!

I know who you are talking about.......Tony Something~or~other. LOL
Don't know tho how a mental image of him is suppose to motivate me!!! hahaha
Gil says the photo is a bit freaky. He thinks my head is to big for Ali's body. I think it is just freaky simply cuz' I can't ever remember being that small.

Accountability Day 19

Started out the day well but had a major hurdle in the middle. Though I did try my best to compensate for it, we'll see how it all pans out as this week goes on.
~~~~~~~~
Weighed 203.8 this morning. Putting me at a .6 drop. Only took me 9 days! LOL
~~~~~~~~
1/4 cup eggbeaters
1/2 serving shredded cheese
1tbsp salsa
1 slice 100% whole wheat toast
1tbsp s.f. Black Raspberry jam
1 med sugar free, fat free vanilla latte from McDonalds (only 90 cals!!!)
1 oz almonds
1 lite swiss laughing cow wedge
4 kashi crackers
Okay here is the embarrassing part :blush5::piggy::blush5::piggy:
I ate an entire box of Special K bars........which comes out to 12 bars.
Can you say
PIGGY!!!
I can't believe that I let myself lose control like that. But they were so tasty. :biggrinjester:
To make up for my lack of control I went out and shoveled the drive for 45-60 minutes. As well as went to my PowerCore class plus Zumba (Latin Dance class.)
Using The Daily Plate it said that I had burned off like 718 cals. Which almost, almost made me feel better.
However woman can not live on Special K bars alone.
Dh had baked up a pizza while I was at class. I had 2 1/2 small slices.
Over all The Daily plate says I came in fine for my cals for the day. But honestly I don't want to have to work that hard just so I can eat like a pig.
If I hadn't eaten those stupid bars I am sure that I would have still had something. Just not to that extent. And if I had gone out and done all the exercise that I did with a much lower cal count for the day, I would most likely be seeing a great number tomorrow. As it is I don't think the number will be all that great.
However I do plan to exercise tomorrow as much as I can.
Which means 2 Zumba classes and lifting weights. I think I also will find a neighbor who needs their drive shoveled.
I am sooo ashamed.

Ah, don't feel too bad. I ate almost an entire bag of cheddar and sour cream potato chips a few days ago--and I don't mean a snack size bag either--it was a full size bag. :piggy: Just make better choices tomorrow. :) And really, you burned off a lot of cals and it all came out all right in the end. You are more than welcome to come and do housework at my place if you're looking for extra exercise. :biggrinjester:

Love Sour Cream and Onion Chips!!!! :biggrinjester:
There is a reason I don't buy those. Cuz' I would most certainly eat the whole bag of those too.
Mmmmm..........just thinking about them makes me want them! LOL
Besides your preggers........no one is going to hold it against ya. What's my excuse, except extreme gluttony? :piggy::rofl:
I did try real hard yesterday. Had I been able to get more than 6 hours of sleep I am sure that my weight would have rewarded me for all that work yesterday.
As for cleaning your house..........sure! Yours is no where the size of mine so wouldn't take much time at all!!! hahaha

Accountability Day 20

Today has been much better than yesterday! ;)
1/2 cup eggbeaters
2 slices ham
1 slice 100% whole wheat toast
1 tbsp blackberry jam
1 banana (4.5oz)
1/2oz of almonds
1 lite laughing cow cheese wedge
1 chicken snack wrap/lettuce only
1 chocolate truffle, key lime flavor ~~ DeBrand's Chocolates!!! The best ever!!!! (only 180 cals)
So far so good!!!
~~~~~
I'm off to Zumba!
~~~~~
UPDATED
Worked hard at Zumba, sweatin' like a piggy!!
Came home and ate the rest of my food for the day
2oz whole wheat sketti noodles
4oz venison burger
2oz sketti sauce
1 cup skim milk
1 slice 100% whole wheat bread
1tsp Smart Balance 64%, whipped butter
~~~~~
In hind sight had I not ate the truffle today I would have come in under my calorie goal for the day.
As it is I was over by about 32 cals. And I know doing the Zumba burned cals but I don't want to work that hard just so I can eat more food.
Anyhow, today definately ended on a much better note than yesterday.
Ciao
You actually might be too low on calories before that--are you deficits more than 500-1000 calories? Sometime the body backlashes with binges, I know MINE does!
And yes, when I don't get enough sleep, it's :piggy: :piggy: :piggy: Hope you manage ok the rest of this week! I been getting 7 lately and it's not enough--I need 7.5-8.....
Good luck!
Thanks Val~
I am not sure exactly what my cal deficit would be.
Basically I just plugged in my weight on the daily plate, told it how much I wanted to try to lose a week (2#'s) and that I basically was only one step up from a sloth. hahaha
I know that when I work out I can eat more but I tend to feel bad for going over.
My cycle should be starting end of this week/beginning of next and I am fairly sure that it has something to do with the sweet/salty thing I got going on.
As long as I don't take any money with me to work this weekend and pack lots of good for me food I should be able to make it thru "this trying time" :))
YES right before Day 1, I get ravenous! It's always easier for me to diet after I start.
You ever count calories? Calculate your needs? There are lots of tools online for that, but it's terribly annoying to calorie count. I'm doing it right now, only because it's the only weight loss method that's ever worked for me in the long term!!
I always find it amusing that I "forget" about my cycle and end up eating like a horse and the next day when it starts I am like "ooooh now I get it!" LOL
I do count my cals since that to is the only thing that really works for me.
I love The Daily Plate cuz' not only do you get to track your cals you can track your carbs, sodium, protein, ect. Just about anything you want to know you can.
That and you can track your exercise and when you input it the site will automatically recalculate your cals for the day.
That is where I usually draw the line though.
I am not going to keep eating just because the site says I can now eat so many more cals. I always just stick to the total cals for the day not the net.
Accountability Day 21
Wow!
Today makes 3 weeks since I started keeping a really close eye on my food intake. There have been some bad days but mostly good ones.
I like how I can look back over my food and see patterns and things.
Since I started keeping track I have lost a total of 7.2 pounds. In 3 weeks!!!
That averages out to be 2.4 pounds a week. :party:
Holy Cow!!! I hadn't figured that up yet. And here I thought I wasn't doing so well.....:biggrinjester: Silly me!
Things are still looking good. I would like to lose another 4 pounds before the end of the month. With only 13 days to go I don't know that it will be entirely possible. But I plan to try my darndest!!!
