Bellaryna's Journey

Hey! Send some of that weather THIS way! It's so chilly, wet and dreary here in MD.

I was having trouble with my back a while ago, and I too think it was lack of stretching. I'm sure once you get that under control, your back will start feeling better!

Sending that weather your way!!!!!
My back is feeling a bit better. But I think I may need to make a trip to the chiropracter. Every once in a while I get a kink and the only way to get rid of it is to have it "popped". I'll wait a few more days to see how it feels.

I hope you get to go fishing on Thursday still. I hope the weather won't be that bad. And good weight loss!!! The pounds are melting away for ya!

Thanks Brandy!
I love, love, love to fish! In fact dh has said on many occasions that he was so happy when he found someone who shared his love of it.
We will still be going but will be tweaking it a bit since the River is still to high. We have a friend who lives on a lake who has offered us his boat whenever we want.
Thanks for the Kudos!
Now if I can just keep melting away! LOL

2 lbs - Super Great! :hurray:

Way ta go hon. :grouphug:

Thanks for checking in on me.
Thursday/Friday was just horrible..lol

Have A Great Tuesday. :waving:

Thanks Stacy~
I am hoping to get down below the weight that I was at last week. But with all the celebrating that Sweetiepea and I did it may be close! LOL :smilielol5:
Though I am trying my darndest!
Have a great day sweetie!
I'll pop over and chat at ya later.

Well my weekend celebrating is still melting away. That makes me sure feel good to know that I can go out to eat and not worry about it sticking around for any length of time.
I weighed in this morning at 190 even. That is 1.4 pounds less then yesterday.
So I am now with-in reach of coming in lower than I did last week. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
I am doing my part by keeping the cals low, yesterday was 1226, and by getting in some exercise.
Even though they are calling for rain today I am thinking about walking to the library with T-Dawg.
If I am going to do that though then I need to be leaving in like 15 minutes.
Uh-oh I just heard some thunder rumble.
Guess I will be taking the car after all! LOL :smilielol5: :driving:
Okay I need to get off the puter.
Hubby needs it so I will catch up with all of you later!
Ciao

Guess what?!
It never rained!!! YEAH!!! :party:
Right before we left to go to the library I took a step outside. The sun was shining and there were no clouds in the sky. So I said screw it! LOL
If we get rained on, well then we just get rained on. No one has ever died from getting a little wet. Besides that I figured there were worse places to be stranded than the library. And once there (we were meeting a friend) I knew that she would more than likely offer a ride if it came to that.
Which is funny since she actually caught up to us on the way there.
Upon seeing us walking she pulled over and offered for us to hop in. Since we were going to the library together I didn't think it would be very kind to say no. So only got in about 10 minutes of walking before she picked us up. But in that 10 minutes we went pretty far. Especially when you consider that my 5yr old was walking with me.
We had a great time at the library. My friend and her husband just adopted their little boy from Russia. He is the sweetest thing but doesn't know a lick of English. He turned 3 just after they got home with him. I figured that since T-Dawg just turned 5 that maybe they would hit it off. And it seems that they did. Funny how kids have a language all their own. Even though neither one of them knew what the other was saying they still played well together.
After the library I was planning to walk over to the video store. I am not sure how far away it was suppose to be but again my friend was concerned about us walking so far. So again I let her drive us over. She offered to wait while we got our videos but I told her to go on as we definately could walk home from there.
Ended up actually walking all the way to the Mickey D's. I figured that since it was about 12:30 by then that T-Dawg was most likely pretty hungry. We did pack a snack but he ate that before we even left the library! LOL
So I figured it would give me some extra walking and some extra incentive for him if I promised him a cheeseburger.
That took us about 30 minutes. And from the Golden Arches to home was only about 20 minutes.
I really don't know how far we walked. At least not yet. When I go to get the other children from school I will drive it out with my car just to see.
But over all I would say that it was about an hour.
Had my friend not driven us to the library or the video store we could have easily gotten in another hours worth. Especially since those were the 2 places that had the biggest distance.
Well anyway there is the update so far for my day.
I am thinking I may walk to the Y tonight when I go for my class. It gets my cardio out of the way so that I can start right in on my weights. But I don't know. That would mean that I would be walking with both of my younger kids. And with the youngest having already walked today he may not be up to another 3 miles.
We'll see.
You just never know.
Sometimes they surprise me.
Catch ya all later.
:seeya:

Oh as a side note even though T sat there and ate his double cheeseburger and fries right in front of me I didn't have any!!! Not even a nibble. I just quietly sipped my Splenda sweetened tea!!!!

Congrats on getting so much walking in and resisting the cheeseburger!! :hurray: I am finding it hard to get back into the good eating swing of things. :piggy:

You're lucky you missed out on the rain--we got it here, thus ruining my plans for a walk. Unlike Margaret, I refuse to do the drowned rat impression. :biggrinjester:

That is sad about your friend's partner passing, and his family's behavior towards her. Luckily, she has good friends like you to help her through her grief. :)

No food requirements for this week. It's a roadblock that requires food, but I plan to do this one, so no worries. :)

That is great that your little guy got along so well with your friend's adopted son. It is interesting how small children do not seem to have language barriers like adults do. :)

Thanks Kimberly for stopping by!
Apparently I messed up the post that I had originally responded to you in, 'cuz it's not here!
Or perhaps I posted it somewhere else by accident.
Who knows!?
LOL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Weighed-in this morning .2 lower than last weeks challenge weight! So it would seem that I am going to have a loss for this week. Now the question is how low will it go? I would love to get a new low for the journey. And I have a feeling that I just might.
When yesterday was all said and done T-Dawg and I walked 3.2 miles! And my dd walked 1.5 miles! I am so proud of them. They are my little troopers.
If it hadn't been for my friend picking us up on the way to the library and then taking us to the video store plus someone else gave us a ride home from the Y cuz there were storms coming in, T-Dawg and I would have logged in 6.7 miles yesterday. HOLY COW!!!
I think that from now on I am going to turn people down for their "offers of help".
Today is a no walking day as I need to get to the next town over to drop off some papers to a doc office. As well as we are planning to go to the movies in a different town for a family fun night.
Our family practioner gives us free passes to the movies about twice a year. But we rarely if ever use them 'cuz the timing of our lives and the timing of movies hardly ever meets up.
But this week it all worked out. We are going to go and see Nim's Island with Jodi Foster. I heard that it was a good family movie.
Hope everyone else is having a great day.
Gotta run!
Glad things are looking positive for ya with the scale!
I also heard NIM's island was good- do let us know!
Thanks Stacey and Yarmiah for stopping by~
The movie was incrediably cute. Very much set up for the younger age set. I don't want to give anything away but Jodi Foster was very funny. At least I thought so. I would recommend anyone who as young children to this movie. There were a couple of intense moments but nothing that would give anyone nightmares.
Well so much for our beautiful weather! LOL
It is currently raining, has been all day, but as the day has worn on it has gotten colder and colder! It is currently hovering around 47*. They are even calling for SNOW!!! :banghead:
Weighed-in this morning at 187.6lbs!!!
That is my current lowets weight to date. It's been 2 weeks since I hit that number! I am hoping to take it a bit lower tomorrow. I would so love to get a new low number!!!!
Hubby and I went to visit some members of our church today who are currently in the hospital. It was not the way I would invision us normally spending our date day together. But when it was all said and done it was very very fulfilling.
As I said before I went to see a movie last night. Nim's Island. Unfortunately my dd was not able to go. As she was very naughty at the Ymca. And I had warned her at least 4 times to behave. The last time I warned her, I put down the threat of her not going to the movie, thinking that for sure she would straighten up. Didn't happen the way I wanted. So it ended up only be my youngest and myself.
I'll finish updating in a while I need to take my oldest to work.
Ciao
188.6! :hurray:
Keep losing, b/c we're gonna need it to carry my sorry behind tomorrow. :banghead: Actually, I've finally been getting some bathroom action, so that should help. :D
It's rained all day here, too. I got soaked grocery shopping this afternoon. It's cold, too--low 40s. :ack2: They are calling for a "wintry mix" this weekend. Oh joy! :nopity:
That is a lot of walking, woman!! :party: Dont't those dancing dots look like the m & m guys in the commercials?
Good job sticking to your guns with dd--she has to learn bad behavior gets punished, not rewarded, right? Good Mom!!
I'm sure those people you visited at the hospital were grateful for the company. I know my dad always enjoys having his pastor see him when he's there. I love visiting people in the hospital. I guess I'm kinda weird. The smells, etc don't gross me out, and I enjoy trying to make people feel better. I'm sure that's why you found it fulfilling. :)
Here's to another loss tomorrow! :beerchug: <--diet root beer ;)
WTG on the weight loss!
The other day dh and I went to Angola - in the evening - just the two of us, we ended up at subway for dinner, a little clothes shopping (me), then to menards. I said, you know what I think we just had a date. He said it was "my turn" - because we were trying to take each other out. I told him that I asked him to go and I was driving so technically, I took him out. ;) It was a very nice "date".
Can't wait for you to blog about tonight! It was great working out with you!
Hey Kimberly~
Thanks for the Kudos!!!!
I am sooooo pumped about that number!!
I can't wait for tomorrow to roll around. I have been working so hard this week that I just gotta believe that it will be lower tomorrow. If not it should be after! As I am going to go to work 4 1/2 hours early to do my old job. Which is extremely physically demanding. And you know I am counting that as exercise this week! LOL
~~~
Okay so you guys are NOT going to believe what happened to me tonight at the Y!
First off this was Sweetiepea's first night trying out the Fit for Life class. And I really wanted her to have a good experiance. And she said she did. Though she may not be talking to me after tomorrow, LOL, because once Kelly got ahold of her she was pretty much put thru "The Kelly Wringer" LOL

Anywho so while Sweetiepea and I were working on some of the machines this guy walks by and says to us, "Hi Ladies". Okay that in and of itself is not unusual. As most of the guys up there who lift on a regular basis are actually pretty sweet. Even if they do look like they could rip your head off! LOL
The weird thing is that this particular guy is just........odd.
Not all ripped. Kinda squirrely. Okay really geeky.
Now I got nothing against geeky nerdy guys. My dh happens to be one. But on the same hand my hubby also happens to be socially capable of himself. And it doesn't hurt that he is cute. :smilielol5:
This guy was waaaay nerdy. Think "Revenge of the Nerds". Slicked over hair with a curly Q thing in the front with black rimmed glasses.
Again none of that is what really wigged me out. What really got to me was as I am working out on the machine and Sweetiepea is keeping me company he sits down on the next machine and interrupts us to ask if I went to high school around "here".
First of all I am not "from around here" and even if I were I wasn't going to tell him that! No need to encourage him right?
I did though tell him that I was not from around here originally and that no I did not go to school here. Which by the way, would have been 18 years ago!!!!
I go back to working out. Or at least trying to.
He proceeds to tell me how I look like this girl who he went to school with that he had this really big crush on. Who he really, really, really liked. Okay so now he is starting wig me out! :leaving:
So I am like Ooookaaay.
Now go away! :cuss:
Sweetiepea is looking at me, making faces and whispering how she is going to tell my hubby! LOL Totally making it impossible to concentrate on what I am doing.
He just kept going on and on about how he was so sorry that he had interupted us. But in the process he just kept interupting. AAAAGH! :banghead:
Finally we moved away.
At this point is where Kelly got ahold of Sweetiepea. So I went to do my deadlifts as Sweetiepea was being put thru the paces of step-ups.
After my first set Kelly sent me off to walk a lap. At this point one of the other girls in my group comes up to me and whispers to me that "geeky guy" asked her if I was single!!!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!
:svengo:
She told me that she informed him that not only was I married but I was married to a minister.
And what does "weirdo" say in response to this little gem?
"That's one lucky man"
:puke::puke::puke:
I can't even begin to tell you how just skin creepy crawly i was feeling by that point!
Every time I would look up or around he was watching. *Shudder*
Just gave me the creeps. I tell ya.
Now I am always going to feel really self conscious when I am up there.
Maybe had all the beefcakes been there, for some odd reason all of the guys in my class except one and most of all the others who are always up in the fitness center, weren't there tonight. So maybe had they been "wigging me out guy" wouldn't have approached me. Who knows.
But I tell you what.
He doesn't know who he is messing with...........'cuz I got my girl Sweetiepea to cover my back.
She'll Bruce Lee is booty so fast that he'll never know what got ahold of him.
'Cuz she is one tough Martial Arts cookie!
So that is my night.
And hubby when I told him........for the most part just laughed about it. I guess he figures I can take care of myself. Though he did do the puff up thing and say "maybe I should come workout with you........ya know to keep ya safe!" hahahaa! :smilielol5:

Quick update as I have to be getting to work soon.
Weighed-in this morning at...............drum roll please
187.2!!!!
Woot Woot~~
That is an all new low for me as well as being 1.6 pounds down from last week.
I am sooooo flippin excited right now.
Looking forward to hitting my 2nd mini-goal of 185 next week.
Well I gotta get on outta here.
So everyone have a great weekend!

HOLLAR for my girl Bell and her sexy new body that has men hitting on her at the gym. LOL LOL girl take it as a compliment and nothing more, your smoking and well you were gorgeous before you starting losing, so it's no surprise to me at all. :seeya: CONGRATS on your weight loss low, you deserve it!!

I'm very proud of you and pretty soon as I said before you might end up wizzing right past me, that will be a good thing girl!

Keep up that great work, and perfect attitude, that's the most important part, as I lost it this morning after my weigh in, NOT GOOD!! ***Bad Kim*** ahahaha, I just wish I saw a little more for my efforts that's all.

Take Care and have a wonderful day and an even better weekend!!
Hugs and love
Kim

Hiya Bella! That was pretty creepy and you tell stories in the best way! :smilielol5: You know I would so :smash: the dude if it came down to it. ;)

He was just weird the whole way around. You know who I think he reminds me of - Squiggy on Laverne and Shirley - :D

Oh and ladies got to tell ya Bell is not making this up, the dude was just plain weird. I was doing a lap around and he was on a machine, then right when I got up to just about where he was, he jumped off of the machine right in front of me on the track! :cuss: It made me slow down, cause he "sauntered" over to the water fountain. I felt like giving him a kick in the booty!

But, Ms. LB, you're so right. Bell is :sifone: hot and she looked so pretty in her workout clothes. I'm surprised she doesn't have more fellas hitting on her.
