Bellaryna's Journey

Hello to all who stopped in!
Wow I sure did get alot of visitors in a very short time.
Quickly as it is late.....here I go again! LOL
Feeling great finally. Musta been some kinda bug.
Did not make the 185 this morning but came in closer than I thought I would at 188.4.....a decent number.
Am hoping to still be in the BLS Challenge after I weigh tomorrow. I will use either today's weigh-in or tomorrows. Which ever is better.
Again thanks to all who stopped by.
I need to get going.
I will pop in, in the morning to regal you all with my Valentine's Day fun!
Ciao!

good to hear you are feeling better! and sounds lie you had a good day yesterday ;)

congrats on the loss :hurray:

have a good day

x

Angel Thanks for popping in on me~

Again I have no time!
It's a wonder I am even able to keep up with my weight loss's with the amount of time I don't have to dedicate to it! LOL
At least lately that is.
Once we are all done with our UpWard Basketball league at church things will slowly shift back to normal around my house. Until then everything is full throttle!!!!
Had a great V Day with the hubby. It is kinda funny 'cuz we normally never do anything to celebrate the day. And yesterday we actually took the time to "do something".
We went to a really great place to eat over in Shipshewana for breakfast. I did keep it to a minimum on what I had. But I didn't go for the fruit and yogurt plate! LOL Had one egg (didn't eat it all as I don't like my eggs much) homemade bread that was toasted, YUMMY!!!!
Also a side of American fries (I did eat all of them, :blush5:), and a nice slab of ham that I did not finish completely.
We then walked around all the quaint little shops and "browsed around". Though the shops are cutsey and all they are way outta my price range so didn't get anything for me.
Did get some custom made candies for the kids for V Day and stopped at the local Amish grocery and got some Cherry Chip Pancake mix. We had thought it would be fun to have a V Day dinner for the kids. And what do kids love the most? PANCAKES!
So that was my day. I rounded it out with a good workout at the gym. All upperbody. My trainer has me bench pressing up to 65lbs. Which may not sound like alot but after you have already done a 12, 10, 8, 6, 12 rep cycle your arms are pretty tired.
I also am happy to say that I was able to do the 12, 10, 8, 6, 12 rep cycle on my chin pull ups using a Natualis machine.
That is a total of 48 pull ups!
Well as per normal I need to get going as I need to get ready for work. ARGG!
I hope that everyone else had a great week.
Keep on truckin' along everyone!

Once again I will be doing a "drive-by journal entry"! LOL
I just feel like I have no time.
I am up to my neck in the UpWard Basketball pictures. I don't know if I will do them again next year as it is such a huge hassle for me.
Though I do know that the parents really do enjoy getting the pics.
Did really well yesterday on my calories. I haven't added them up yet but I know that they had to come in lower than 1650.
I am in the process as I type of trying to get all the laundry washed and folded before I head off to work.
Like I said "In Process". LOL
Which means more than likely it won't all be done by the time I leave for work.
I haven't been drinking my water for the past 2-3 days. I know that I need to but just don't "feel" thirsty I guess.
I know that if I did drink my water I would see a difference on the scale.
I am going to aim to drink at least 2 of my 33oz bottles today.
Well I need to get going. Unfortunately my house won't clean itself and the kids are clammering for some lunch.
Oh as a side note..........I made it to the final week of the BLS Challenge. I am just blown away by that fact.
Even from the very first week I always felt that I would be eliminated every Friday. But here I am still in it. So hopefully I can put up some really big numbers and have a nice finish. Currently I am last. Would be nice to move up the ranks a bit.
Okay I'll catch ya'll later!

Gratz on still being in the thick of it with the BLS challenge!

I know what ya mean about the water. I find it much harder to get in my water when its cold out.

Good luck with the pictures!

That would be awesome! Especially if you were to join in on the Fit for Life class. As I haven't had the same partner twice yet. Unless you count Kelly and she really MAKES me work hard. LOL

Thanks Angel!
I wish I could say that I am doing really fab with the exercise this week.
I just don't feel it at the moment I guess.
I really think it has alot to do with the weather.
I am very proud of myself and the abilities that I am finding myself capable of.
Back in the day if someone had told me that
A: I would be exercising this much
B: Doing this well in my weightloss endeavor
and
C: actually enjoying all of it!
I would have told them they were NUTS!:willy_nilly:

I am so sick of this weather!
Cold, then slightly warm, then gusty winds, then blustery snow, then 50* with the sun shining and then back to the cold again!
ARGGGG!!!!!
It is enough to make a girl wish to move somewhere warm! LOL
This weekend wasn't to bad at work.
Though it was brutally cold in the freezer on Saturday. I actually was hurting......which doesn't happen too often.
My fingers were hurting so badly that I though for sure they were going to fall off. I finally did "warm" up, if that is possible in a freezer. Once I got past the initial freezing I was fine.
I really, really struggled this weekend with my water intake. In fact I didn't have any. I know bad, bad, bad!!!! And most likely that had alot to do with my "feeling like I was freezing" on Saturday.
Now that I am at home though and can readily hit the restroom as much as I need to I am going to drown myself in my water.
Watched my food intake really well this weekend. All 3 days saw me coming in at just below 1650.
Which for the last week of the BLS Challenge we are suppose to be keeping our calories with-in a certain range for the whole week. So basically I figure that if I can keep it between 11,900-12,000 for the whole week I will be good.
Except for today that is! LOL Sweatpea and I are finally going to get together. We have been trying to get together for about a month now but between the weather, Upwards, life and just anything else that could get in the way it just hasn't happened. I figured that if I kept myself at 1600-1650 per day that I can cheat a bit tonight. It gives me about a 700-800 calorie buffer. I am hoping to pull in some nice numbers this week so that can at least end out the BLS Challenge not in last place. Which is currently where I am sitting.
The kids had today off from school. Even though there is no school today I still have to teach my swim lessons. So I just packed up the kids and took them with me. My youngest son is already in a class all of his own. So I didn't have to worry about him. And my oldest son was at his mothers for the extended weekend. Which left me with my daughter. My "swim boss" said that she could jump in on the class that I teach and that is what we did.
I offered to watch a friends daughter today as well and they met us at the YMCA to swim.
So in all we were in the water for about 2 hours straight!!!
As I speak the kids are all sitting on the couch zoning out watching a movie. Must be that I tired 'em out pretty good! LOL
Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hi Bella!

Well aren't you just Miss Weightloss Queen and Wife/Mother Extaordinaire! :hurray:

How you do it all, I'll never know!! I am dead serious.

Congrats on making it to the final week of the challenge! :hurray:

Dysentary??!! HOly Moly! That's some serious stuff. I'm glad it turned out all right. :grouphug:

Have a great week!

Hey Kim!
Thanks for dropping by~
You know I am not sure how I do it either. I am so outta sorts sometimes that I think that sooner or later somethings gonna give. Right now it is my household chores that are failing to be taken care of.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Well I just got home from my girls night out with SweetiePea. It sure was nice to finally get together with her. We ate out at Applebee's. I had a grilled chicken thing off of the Weight Watcher menu. Told them to put all sauces and cheeses to the side. It also came with a small side of rice pilaf and a huge helping of broccoli. I ended up only eating about 1/2 of the cheese and none of the sauces. We did get an order of the onion rings. They are baked not fried. Also Applebee's has some new desserts that are called shooters. They are not alcoholic just served in shooter style containers.
I had the Key Lime Pie. YUMMY!
I haven't added up my cals yet but I can't imagine that I did to badly as the meal, if I would have had all sauces and all cheeses, would have been 470 cals. And since I opted out I think it must have been much less.
And since the "shooter" was so small it was most likely a reasonable cal intake.
We also went and wandered around the local Fashion Bug store. Unfortunately they were getting ready to close and I didn't feel like I had enough time to browse around. Although I did try on a super nice pair of chocolate brown dress pants SIZE 16! I loved them but couldn't find a shirt to go with 'em so put them back. Actually I take that back. There was a shirt that went with them but alas my boobs are just to big and I couldn't get it to button up and not pucker open. LOL They did have one in my size but it wasn't a color that I was to crazy about. Sweetiepea said it looked good but I guess I am just to picky.
So we then headed over to Wallyworld. Sweetiepea just loves that store! Not Really!!! LOL
We did find some decent things over there.
Amazingly enough I found out tonight that I am actually a petite sized girl. Who knew? LOL
Sweetiepea pointed it out to me. I kept balking at the idea but then figured she must be right. 'Cuz as I have lost weight all my pants have gotten longer and longer. Apparently my big 'ol butt was holding all that material up. But now that the "butt" is not there I just keep dragging my pants thru the dirt.
So now I own a nice pair of SIZE 16 black dress pants with a small pinstripe running thru them. And a really nice baby blue sweater that has a fake dress shirt collar on it.
If I think about it I will have my stepson take my picture again and I will post my new outfit for all to see.
Well it is running up on 11 o' clock at night and I really want to get to bed at a decent hour so I will be hanging up my keyboard for the night.
Hope that everyone has a great Tuesday!
Hi Bella,
Your night out with Sweatpea sounded like fun. Those Applebee WW meals are great for low-cal dieting.
Lol@you not realizing you're petite. How tall are you?
I can't wait to see new pics!! :hurray:
Yeah we had lots of fun. More so because we actually had time to chat instead of a few words here or there and then poof we are off to the next thing.
I love the fact that Applebee's has that WW menu. Only I really wanted a nice steak last night. But for the most part I have pretty much given up beef. Not really a conscious decision on my part. Just that I always keep in the back of my mind that beef is way high in cals. And I know how hard I need to work to get those cals back off.
It is funny about the petite thing!
I always had it in my mind that a "petite" person was someone who was small all the way around. You know short and skinny. Small boned. That sort of thing.
I do have to think that I would not fit into a petite shirt as I have wide shoulders and even if I didn't have the shoulders I certainly have the chest! LOL
As for how tall I am, I am about 5'4".
Funny little story.
When Dh and I were in Puerto Rico last summer I really wanted a "tropical island dress". So being the good hubby that he is he took me over to the local mall and I looked around. Finally found a store that not only had said dresses but things were on sale as well.
I tried on a few but never was very happy with them.
I told hubby that I thought it was weird how the dresses were all cut.
Every dress made me look like I had an Aunt Jemima butt. You know real tight on the waist and big 'old shelf in the back. And of course the boobs were right out there for all to see!
Of course now looking back I know that it wasn't the dresses that had fault it was just me.
I had the butt all by myself:smilielol5:
So I suppose I always needed to wear "regular" pants just to get into the right size. And now that the butt is going away well I just don't need my pants to be so long anymore.
And no I did not end up getting a tropical island dress.
There is always next time. :biggrinjester:
Thanks Angel!
Just got home from my Fit for Life class. Got my butt totally handed to me in a sling. LOL Or at least that is what it seemed like.
We worked on our legs. And man do I feel like my legs are made of rubber. In fact at one point during the workout I actually felt my knee give out. It didn't hurt but sure did startle me.
I don't think that I am going to come in any better than last place for the BLS Challenge. Even though I have been making sure to come in under my cals that I set for myself I have not been keeping track to know how many I had left for the week. That and I had a binge day today. I won't even go into all the stuff I ate suffice it to say it wasn't all good.
So there it is in a nutshell.
I hope that everyone has a great day tomorrow.
Catch ya'll later!
Hi Bell!
It was nice to get out, even if I was a stick-in-the-mud and just wanted to hang around town. It sure was cold, wasn't it? I'm tired of this weather too. Blah!
I think the onion rings are definitely fried, but that's ok cause it's ok to have a cheat once in awhile.
And, we made up for it with the shooter. We could've had a full fledged dessert!
I can't wait to see you Sunday -- Wearing something that's going to make you look mighty fine!
Anyway, got to get to bed.
TTYL!
Well here it is another day. I think that I must be feeling some effects of that seasonal depression that I usually get every year. Except for this year I didn't have it. Or so it seems I didn't have it until now.
The weather here has been in and of itself extremely disappointing lately. Cold, cloudy, dreary.........basically just a real downer.
I now know that I could never ever live in Seattle, Washington.
I seem to be falling into a bit of a viscious cycle.
I don't "feel" like exercising. Not even the swimming. But since I have to show up at work to teach the swimming I have no choice in the matter.
And of course once I get there and get in the water I start feeling much better.
Same thing with my classes. I "feel" like I could just stay home and forget about it. But with them there is no one pushing me to get to them like the swimming. I just know that if I didn't show up my trainer/instructor would be calling me and asking what's up. And for some reason I just can't bring myself to disappoint her.
So I guess in a way there are forces at play here that are keeping me in the "game".
And I am so very THANKFUL for that.
Because if not for those very forces I think that I would have given up by now.
And of course there is Kimberly's BLS Challenge. The challenge has made it possible for me to keep up on the nutrition side of things. There are days where I failed miserably but there are also days where I had great achievements.
The long and the short of it is this.
There is only about 4-5 more weeks until warmer, weather gets here. 'Til the sun starts shining on a more regular basis and the temps start to be more "user" friendly.
If I can just make it thru this time period then I know that I won't quit. That I won't fail.
I just need to keep reminding myself that Spring is just around the corner.
