Bellaryna's Journey

HI Bella!!!
I have one of those dresses, it does not have a name but it is hanging in my closet.... still won't fit. it will once I am done with my recent goal!! Congrats for fitting into it, doesn't it give you extra motivation??? LOL
I agree that fiber most likely won't be causing a gain... salty food or water retention would.

You are doing awesome here, everytime I come take a peek your ticker just took another huge dive!!! You are leaving us in a dust dear!!!
Keep going!!

Gratz on the trying on the dress and liking the results. Takes a lot of courage to try something on, and knowing that it fits ya must make ya feel GREAT!

Oh, we have a Texas Roadhouse near as well. Those rolls with the cinnamon butter are the bomb, and a big NO NO for me. Oh yeah, and the peanuts too. THIS would explain why I haven't been there in a long time! :smilielol5:

Ooh, I'd so like to be in her Body for Life class. I used to do Body for life workouts. Is she doing it only a few times a week? Because the main thing about BFL was that it wasn't that much time for cardio (20 min.) the weight training generally took me longer though - about 40 to 45 min. So it would be interesting to do a "class".

Of course if she's only taking 7 people, I'm probably out since I don't even have a Y membership. But if you think about it, let me know the details if it doesn't fill up too fast, I'd be interested.

Congrats on the dress!! I didn't even know you owned a dress. :p

Thanks Everyone for stopping by~

Is she doing it only a few times a week? Yeah just on Tuesday's and Thursdays. But I guess she was saying that there is at least one other instructor who is looking into teaching this class as well.

I want to do it badly. But there is a strict rule that you HAVE to show up for every class. 'Cuz you work with a partner, hence the reason she is only taking 7 people.
And of course the week that she is starting it I have to take pics for the Upward league.
So maybe in the next session.

Why you gonna get a membership? LOL We could always use more swim instructors!

Just the one! LOL

Your right about being scared to try it on. The last time I was sure that I had gotten small enough was a major disappointment. So I was very very nervous to try it on. And yes it felt wonderful!

I know that it is most likely NOT all the fiber but I sure do feel (or least I did yesterday!) bloated up beyond belief.
And I guess the Salmon could have been a bit salty.

Thanks for all the encouragement!

First Off I feel the same way, with all this fiber I'm getting this week, the bathroom scene is a little less to be desired!
You know I don't feel like I am in the bathroom anymore than usual. If anything I just have more GAS! LOL Which in my opinion is hilarious. As dh is forever and always saying he's just a little bit gassy. He says it so much that I told him I was going to have that put on his headstone! OIY! I'm up a little on the scale to as of this morning, and what is up with that RIGHT? It might be that aunt flo is coming any day now and that's it, but it could also be all the fiber I'm putting in. Either way, I hope we both get good results come Friday.
Most likely my problem is just plain and simply 'cus I have not been drinking my water. Boo!

Oh and Texas Roadhouse is AWESOME!! I always get the pork chops, California blend, and sweet potato, MMMMMM My H usually splits the pork chops with me, as they pile it up on there, and after the roll and nuts how can you fit anymore in your belly right?? Oh, plus the 2 gallons of water I always tend to drink during that hour. LOL LOL Love that place, and so do my boys, they get the Ribs usually.
Usually I would get the grilled chicken salad but as last night was a celebration dinner and the likelyhood would be that we will not be going back anytime soon I decided to "live it up" a bit. Salmon is not something that I would ever get. I am more of a burger girl. Or at least I use to be. I tend not to eat hardly any red meat anymore.
Well, Happy B-Day to your son, and I hope your day is a good one, with NO Headaches!!
Thanks so much Sweetie!
Hugs!
Kim

That powercore class sounds really good. I hope you can get in the class.
I am currently taking the PowerCore class but like I was telling Sweetipea I am not going to be able to get into the Body for life Class until next session. Which is only about a month away. So not forever to wait. But I fear with her only taking 7 people that I won't be able to get in on the next go around due to the others beating me to it since they will already be in it.
I don't think fiber will make your weight go up--if anything it should go down due to all the bathroom activity. :D Although, Sweatpea is right about not dramatically increasing your fiber. If you hadn't been getting enough of it before the bonus, I wouldn't go crazy with it. 25-35g is plenty. 40 would be excessive unless your body's used to it.
Trust me this is not something my body is use to! :biggrinjester:

Glad that headache is gone and that you're feeling good today. I like the idea of wearing that dress for Easter. Your hubby seems to be rather hard on you. Tell him to take a :chillpill: lol
I think he is just concerned that I will get sick or something. Since it is a very thin dress with no sleeves.
But tell him to chill I will 'cuz no matter what I am wearing that dress!

Keep up all the great work! You're an exercise machine these days! :smash:
Thanks! I sure am trying. My only fear now is that I will end up on a plateau......definately not a place I want to be.

That's funny, I think I only own one 1 dress too!

I wore it twice, then my pounds packed on this last time around, and I haven't put it back on.

I have been thinking about joining the Y - at least to stop by on the way home from work since I am out and about now. Only I'm not sure what C Man would do then, unless he could swim. Hey they got any swimming instructor openings around 4:30 pm? ;)

I'm sure that they do.
It seems there is always some kind of class going on. And I am fairly sure that C-man could get into something at that time. If you want I'll grab you a pool schedule and some other stuff and bring 'em to church for ya.
Would be fun to have you in the class! More motivation for me. Besides that they say laughing burns cals and we do enough of that when we aren't suppose too!!!! LOL

I miss wearing my dresses. In high school I wore dresses all the time...size 4's! Depressing. But I have a size 12 that I can't wait to look good in...maybe Valentine's Day!

Well this week just seems to be flying right by.
Lucky for me I don't have to work this Friday as Dh has to go on a minister's retreat and that leaves me home with the kiddies. I'll take it! One less day in the freezer and I'll get paid too! I'm all for that. :coolgleamA:
Got up this morning and weighed in at a flat 194. Not sure what the deal is this week with the weight going up and then down and then up again. I actually hit 192.6 on Monday night and thought for sure I would see 191 on Tuesday morning. But nope it went up instead!!! It's enough of a headache that I am beginning to think I need to take the new scale back and buy the one that was exactly like our old one.
I'm not talking a little difference here either.
It will change from each time that I get on it. In minutes!
Last night it jumped all the way up to 197.8!!!! Then an hour later it was back down to 195.something. Then just to see what it was up to I jumped on before bed and it was at 197 again. Walked away and gave it a few minutes and it said 195 again.
So I just don't feel like I can trust the dumb thing. The jumps in weight are just too big with very little time in between.
And just so you all know I don't usually keep jumping on the scale every 1/2 hour! LOL That would be way to much even for me. hahahaha
Here lately I have been feeling really really tired! I am not sure why. I went to bed fairly decent last night. Right around 11:30pm. And got up at a little bit passed 7am. So I am not sure why I feel like I could just go back to bed.
Unless it is the Seasonal thing hitting me finally. *shrugging shoulders*
I only have one swim class today. Which is nice after running around like a chicken yesterday. :willy_nilly:
I need to get the house picked back up. Wednesday's are a killer on the house. And I also need to go get groceries.
I will try to jump around to a few diaries. But most of them I won't hit until tonight.
Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

You know I was never much of a dress person even in school. I was pretty much a hard core tomboy. Jeans, t-shirts and sweatshirts. Of course I also grew up in a farm community where no one really cared what you wore.
We only had 62 kids in my graduating class so it wasn't like there were any cliqes to worry about.
I know that you will get into that size 12 REAL SOON!! Just keep it first in your thoughts and you will DO IT!

Ahh dresses. It's only been recently that I've been confident enough to wear a dress. I bought a dress at Express a few months ago to wear to a formal-ish party and I found out a few days later that it was actually a tunic shirt but because I'm short it hit me at mid thigh. I wore black tights so it was cute. I'm glad you're feeling good about fitting into your Puerto Rico dress!

Have a great day! :waving:

Thanks for the encouragement! I know I will too. I am too committed to quit this time.

I actually went to a high school with like 38 kids in my class and got made fun of for dressing nice. Weird huh? Kind of like the twilight zone of normal high school life. People called me Barbie because I painted my nails to match my clothes, and made fun of me because I shopped at Express and paid so much for my clothes. But I had a job and I bought my own car and everything so I didn't think it was a big deal to buy nice clothes, but my Senior year I went to a bigger school and of course fit right in.

Just a strange experience, I guess pretty much everyone gets teased in high school for some reason or another.

Emily,
That is so funny that you just wrote that you bought a dress at Express! We must have been posting at the same time when I wrote that I got made fun of for shopping there. I love Express and those girls were just strange...bragging about clothes they bought for $0.50 at a garage sale...not that there is anything wrong with that, just don't make fun of me for wearing things I like.

There aren't a whole lot of good places to shop in Iowa, but Express is my favorite store near where I live.

Hi Casey!
Thanks for stopping by and wishing well.
I hope today's swim goes well. There is one little girl who is so afraid of the water. I hate to make her do anything. But we are encouraged to encourage them.
So hopefully she'll be abit more open today to at least getting her feet wet! haha
Have a great day!

Wanna
That is so weird that we both went to such small schools.
I actually got made fun of for being the welfare kid. You know the one who couldn't afford lunch so I always had the free lunch.
Never could join any groups 'cuz mom just never had the $ to let it happen. I wanted to be in the band sooooo bad but we could never afford for me to rent the instrument. Things like that.
Funny thing was that weight for me was never an issue in school. So it wasn't that that made me feel an outsider. Just the fact that I knew we had less than everyone else.

Hi Cat!
I have a friend who shops like that all the time.
She is such a petite little thing that she actually shops out of the children's department!!! But of course she still gets stuff in juniors/womens from time to time!
Bet you looked stunning!:coolgleamA:
As far as confidence the only thing that I would really like to "fix" before I wear the dress is these chicken wing flaps I got going on under my arms! LOL
Everytime I lift my arm to wave at someone I feel like I am doing the funky chicken without even trying!!! hahahaha

Hi Bella!
I'm sorry about your scale. I know it can be very depressing to see the weight going up and down like that. Maybe you should buy a new one (again) since you said you use it a lot and you use as a motivational tool. No need to be stressed over the scale too! We have already a lot to worry about.

Have a great Thursday!

A big hug

Ahhh India
Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Especially when you are not feeling 100%.
I told dh this morning that I think I am going to return this particular scale and buy the one that was exactly like the old one. The only reason I didn't do that before was because of the cost.
I tried to go cheaper and now I think that I am paying for it.
More mentally then any other way.
Hope you are feeling better today Sweetie and congrats on meeting your 1st goal!

I was terrified at my first swimming lesson (age 4?) and now I love being in the water! I even took a swimming course at my university last year and really enjoyed it.

LOL
Good that means there is hope for this little girl yet.
She is soooo cute. But man does she have a grip on her!:smilielol5:

Well the day is winding down finally. Thank goodness! This has been a really jam packed week and I am glad to have the swimming be just about done.
The swimming went well today. The little girl who was soooo scared last week wasn't nearly as scared today. She actually got into the pool with very little assistance. Though she did still have a death grip on the wall. LOL
And twice I had to peel her fingers off the wall to help her to "reach out" and swim.
I would never do that if I didn't feel a child would respond well to it. She is so funny in that I think she is more scared of the unknown rather than the pool and swimming.
'Cuz once I get her "swimming" she does fine. She was even quite proud of herself.
~~~~~~~~
Today's meals have gone well.
Toast w/Peanut Butter (3 slices) and about 8oz of skim milk for Breakfast
mini-box of raisins for a morning snack
a cheese melty (grilled cheese minis the grilling) for lunch
banana and 8 nilla wafers for snack
1/2 cup sloppy joe made w/venison on a fat roll with about 1/2oz baked lays for dinner.
I did have about 3 cups coffee w/creamer and 66oz water today.
I haven't figured up the cals/fiber yet and I am sure that it is running low. So I most likely need to go and eat something else.
Especially since I really am feeling a pull to do some work on my ball and the elliptical. Which is a totally weird feeling for me! LOL
I hope that I weigh in well tomorrow for the challenge but I fear that the scale is not going to cooperate. It has been up and down all week. With the lowest down having been on Monday night and the highest up being last night. So I have no idea what to expect.
~~~~~~~~
I did decide to start measuring myself for weeks such as these. And had dh measure things out last night for me.
The stats are these......(nothing I am proud of!)

Chest~41"
Waist~38 1/4"
Hips~46 1/2"
R. Arm~15"
L.Arm~14 3/4"
R. Leg~ 28 1/4"
L. Leg~ 28 1/4"

At least my legs are the same size! LOL It does not surprise me that my right arm is bigger than my left. As I injured my shoulder a very long time ago so always use my right more when it comes to lifting and such.
As bad as I think these #'s are now I don't even want to think what they were 5 1/2 months ago when I started this journey. *Shudder* :svengo:
For those of you who measure yourselves on a regular basis if you can think of another body part that I should have measured then please let me know.
Well I guess this will be it for the night.
Catch ya all tomorrow~ :waving:
