Bellaryna's Journey

No we never did turn the TV on last night. Well I didn't. Gil was of course watching the cubbies.

I think the "You gots?" would work better on a kid who had the concept of how much money his little pile of pennies is really worth. LOL:rotflmao:
So far so good on the MIL. We went to the Fort today and stopped at Sams Club. She loves that place. But oddly enough didn't buy much. Wasn't sure if she ws expecting me to do the buying or what?
Anyway chat at ya later!!!!

Well they learn young you know. If mommy keeps buying everything, they will keep asking. ;)

Sounds like your day was as busy as mine! Where'd you go for lunch? I think that's sad everything has to be drenched to enjoy it (or that's what the chefs think.)

I need to take you to the Italian Grill, it was tastey! Next time instead of the chips, I'll just have them substitute a side salad - that's what I should've done today.

So you got a fan for your elliptical? I tried to convince dh that I needed a fan in the basement (especially when I worked at Curves - they have like 4 fans throughout the circuit.) But he didn't "buy" into it. ;)

Later....

Morning Bell!! I hope you have a very productive day today! I worked the ab roller again lastnight, and WOW my arms are even in pain today. I guess "No Pain, NO Gain" right? You got that fan for your elliptical?? That will help in a big way!! I'll check back by later.
Kim

hey pretty lady!
Just wanted to stop by while making my rounds for the day to see how you've been doing. you sound awesome as usual. :] Don't go crazy with the MIL there. I'll check in soon dear, take care!!
xoxo

Hey

Thank you for all the support you've given me. I really appreciate it and it means a lot.

It sounds like you had a fun busy day. Sometimes I feel bad ordering in restaurants because i'm picking a part the dishes the chef's have developed. At the same time I dont' want all of the unecessary crap that is thrown into everything... I don't need those extra calories and it still tastes wonderful.

You're doing so well. I'm sorry I havn't been here fo you as much as you have been for me. Keep up the great work and you'll see the pounds melting off.

Much Love
~Jenna

Hey Bell,

Just stoppin' in to say howdy! Hope you have a wonderful day house hunting with MIL! I am sure she appreciates all you are doing for her.

Get some rest so that you're nice and refreshed for work!

Hey guys
Sorry this is gonna be a short one as I have NO time!
Spent ALL morning looking at houses. Real ones and online. It takes forever to do anything w/MIL so I basically just end up being a taxi for most of the day. Don't get me wrong I love her and all but I enjoy my days where I don't have to run around doing things. That and in all reality she is soooo picky and tight with her money that I don't believe she will ever actually move here. She did this last time and taadaah she stayed in Puerto Rico. Sooooooo sometimes I feel a bit resentful that I do all this running around for what seems to be nothing. Hopefully this time will be different for her. Who knows.
I did get a fan (had to replace the 1st one as it was broken even before I could put it together). Used it this morning and wowie wow wow did it make a difference.
The time practically flew by.
Well anyway guys I gotta go and take a nap as it is time to go to work..........again......SIGH.
So hopefully tomorrow if I don't work to late, I will jump on and catch everything up. As well as check everyone else's diaries.
Chat at everyone later!!!!

Okay
So I feel like I have a bit of space to breath. Dh took MIL and the kiddies to a pioneer festival today. It's something that we have done every year since we have been married. But obviously this year I did not go.
I didn't roll in until 4am and slept until 11:30am. Just didn't feel like going this year. Don't know if it is because MIL is here or just because I really needed some alone time. Probably a bit of both I imagine.
Well I weighed myself this morning.
216.2 :jump::jump::jump:
I started the Halloween challenge last week and last Saturday weighed in at like 218. something. I can't rememeber the something off the top of my head. Anyway I am the kind of person who jumps on the scale everyday. So on Tuesday when it showed that I was down to 217.6 I was like good at least I lost a pound for the team. I didn't really expect to lose anymore this week. So to jump on the scale and see 216.2 flash back up at me......was AWESOME!!!
I know there are some of you who may hate me for my next statement........I didn't excerise but twice this week. And I can't for the life of me figure out how I am losing this weight so fast. I am beginning to wonder if I have some whacked out metabolism that I never really knew about before because I would just always eat whatever I wanted. Now I eat, but I am choosing healthier stuff. I'm not going hungry (even though DH seems to think that I'm being to picky about stuff).
I'm just not going to waste my calories on something I really didn't want.
Good example is this. If you read my diary from a few days ago you will see that I ate at a restaurant that brought me a burger that was not what I thought it was going to be. Since I didn't eat the beef patty I was able to "splurge" and have a chocolate truffle.
If I actually continue to lose at this rate I will certainly meet my goal of 200 pounds by Thanksgiving.
I am so stoked right now I can't even really put it into words.
I don't have to leave for work for another 1 1/2 hours. So I think I am going to go jump on the elliptical and then shower, pack lunch and head off to the deep freeeze.
Most likely will have no time to drop by tomorrow so everyone "Have a great rest of your weekend!!!"

Hey Bell,

Sorry I missed your call, we were in the middle of staining the bedroom window. Ugh! I hate staining...

WTG on the weightloss! Glad you got some time to yourself. :)

Great job Bell!! Your moving that ticker right on down the tracks, YEAH!! I wish mine was moving that quickly, maybe I can get my motabolism to speed up this week as well, wouldn't that be grand! :D I've used my AB roller and I've up to 20 now from the 15 of last week, it hurts but it feels good. My hubby now says to me, did you do your ab roller today??? HAHAHAHAH YEAH, I have a home cheerleader, that's made me more excited to keep it up. Well, I need to head to another diary, I have so many to visit and so little time today. Happy to see things are really working for you, keep up the great work!!

Thanks Kim
I wish my hubby would be a little more supportive. Since the weight is pretty much falling off he seems to think that I am doing something wrong.
Ordered my new (well new to me) ab dolly today off of Ebay. The girl is already sending it out. So I think it should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. Can't wait to use the real thing. The little scooter that I am using is tearing up my elbows. Glad to see that you are actually liking the ab roller. :D
Catch ya later, Tater

214.8

Soooo here is the Monday report.......
Work went well this weekend. Learned a new skill which now entitles me to some extra hours at the end of the night. Not that I wanted any extra hours but hubby is making noises about the amount of hours I AM NOT working.
So needless to say I was whipped by Sunday night.
Didn't even volunteer to stay and put that new skill to use!
Woke up today to find out that I had lost my original bid on Ebay for a Brand New Ab Dolly. Still in the box with all the plastic on it and everything. To add insult to injury I was only outbid by $1.01.
Searched around to see that there was another one that was used for a buy it now price of $20. With the shipping the total came to like $33.00 so I guess by losing the one bid I saved $27. But the 1st one was brand new so I hope this one works the way it's suppose to.
Weighed myself this morning and I am down to 214.8!!!
Wishing I could go for a nice walk but the skeeters would surely carry me away if I even were to venture outside. I am actually looking forward to the first freeze just so the skeeters will DIE!!!!!!!

Did really well on my food so far today:
2 eggs (eggbeater style)
w/ real bacon bits (1 TBSP)
1 cup P.R. Coffee
2 Tuna Pita Pockets made w/ L.F. Mayo, Mustard, Onions and Relish
1 thin slice of monkey bread
a 90 calorie Special K Snack Bar
the water wasn't so hot so far but I will still swig down about 60-80oz before the day is out.

Oh and by the way I shall never again complain about grocery shopping with my kids. Went with MIL today and it was 10x's.......no........20x's worse.
She would look at things and talk longingly of them. Basically hinting at how she wanted them, but didn't want to pay for them.
I ended up (this is just one item) paying $1.82!!!!! for one can of Tuna!!!!!
I only spend $.50 on my tuna!
Of course I told hubby and he was like "I wouldn't have bought it". Yeah right.
If I would have tried that I would never have been able to live it down. It's the culture thing. If the man says no it's one thing if the woman says no it's another.
Okay I feel better now.
Sorry about that, but if I don't get it out it will bad later on.
On a lighter note MIL may have found a house she can live with. May have.
She gets to go and look at it on Saturday. It is being sold by the owner who has no time until then, yet MIL was feeling put-out that she couldn't see it right now.
There is no pleasing this woman.
Anyway I will be jumping on the elliptical later tonight.
Hope everyone's having a great day.

Great job once again Bell! And I think some women just get cranky when they get old, that's all there is to it!! Hang in there, it won't be forever right???:D LOL, you should be so proud of your weight loss, I know I would be!! Hope your day is a good one!
Kim

Tuesday evening update~
Well forgot to weigh myself this morning so I have no idea where my weight fell. That and my scales are doing a funky weird thing anyway. I have one of those digital scales that tells you your body fat %, % of hydration, yada yada yada. You get the idea. Well now when I go to step on it (gotta poke it so it knows who is stepping on) it starts flashing YES at me. The first time it did that to me I thought it was quite comical as I was standing there wondering if I had lost any weight. And it starts flashing YES at me like it is one of them Magic 8 Balls. You know-ask it a question, shake it up, turn it over and it would usually say something like "Ask again later" or " Decidely so".
And of course that was the day I got on and it told me I was down to 214. But now it is doing it all the time. Poke it, flashes YES for like 20 seconds and then shuts off or heaven forbid starts the whole process over by itself.
I am thinking it may just need new batteries. I hope that is all it needs because right now would not be a good time to "need" a new scale.
My new (used) ab dolly came in today. MIL wanted to check it out so I let her have at it. She is turning 74 in November and was going at it like a pro. Not in the best of form but moving it none the less. She said something to the effect that if it wasn't for her knees she would probably get one for herself. Needless to say I was quite impressed!!!!!!
I may have over done it abit on the cals today. Dh threw away my water bottle (swear the thing was like my wubbie) last night. How crazed was I that I got really mad about him throwing away a regular, nothing special 20oz water bottle.
So I think since my tummy wasn't full of water for most of the day ( I know I can drink water other ways but I am telling you that bottle was my wubbie. Without it I am lost!) I just kinda munched thru most of the day. I didn't munch anything bad just probably more than I needed to. Did go for a quick walk. Skeeters are still bad but not nearly as bad as a few days ago.
I am looking forward to really getting down to business tomorrow with my new ab dolly, Denise Austin dvd and the elliptical. That and I will be the one cooking the dinner meals for the rest of the week. MIL cooked last night and it was a carb-o-licious meal. I was falling asleep on the couch by 8:45-9:00. And of course there were left overs so we had those for supper tonite.
I am thinking tomorrow will be a good day for a fish dish.
Well anyway all in all today was a good day.
Hope everyone else's day went well.

Bell,

I can just imagine MIL doing the ab dolly - too cute!

You need to get yourself to Wally-World and get a real water bottle - I've heard it's not too safe to keep using the flimsy plastic stuff over and over anyway.

Wanna go shopping? LOL

It sounds like you had a great day. Today would be a good day for a walk because it's not going to be too hot - and those skeeters don't like the cold. I think they were all in my bedroom last night anway. ;)

What Denise Austin DVD did you get?

Have fun!

oh my you should have seen her......tho she did have a bit of trouble actually getting off the floor afterwards! You need to get yourself to Wally-World and get a real water bottle - I've heard it's not too safe to keep using the flimsy plastic stuff over and over anyway.

You know I'm always up for a good shopping session! It sounds like you had a great day. Today would be a good day for a walk because it's not going to be too hot - and those skeeters don't like the cold. I think they were all in my bedroom last night anway. ;)
Well maybe you can come over early and we can hit the trails before the movie?
What Denise Austin DVD did you get?

Have fun!
I got the one that has like 10 or 12 different excercises that are only aimed at specific areas of the body. So if I want to work my legs one day I can and upper body the next day.

Hey Bell!

Great job gettin the walk in anyway- any all exercise is always good.
I agree with "pea" about the water bottle. I had heard that reusing the plastic ones is not good as they are hard to clean well, and can be a breeding ground for germs, etc. I got my hard plastic "nylgene?" bottle at wal-mart and fill it with ice cubes and filter water and drink it through out the day.

I would check the batteries on that scale. I used to have one of the old fashioned ones, but it was too inaccurate and my new one has the weight, and % bodyfat and lets you save the information.

Keep chuggin along, lady! :)

Hey Bell,

When the MIL is gone I will have to come over and work out with you to DA. That would be good fun and silly. Then you can come over here and work out with me on the Dance Dance Revolution. Course we'd have to find something for T-dog to do, because he would want to get in on the action. ;)

You are doing super!!!! :hug2:
