Bellaryna's Journey

Yeah well you are definitely going to catch up with me soon with all those classes you are doing!

Congrats on the new low! I was just thinking last night that it wouldn't be long before you got into the 80's!
LOL!
I LOVE the 80's!
Big Hair, Big Music and corny movies!!! Ahhh the best decade by far. But I sure can't wait to jump into the 70's!
Your great yourself and soon my body will catch on to what's up with all the classes. When that happens I will have to "shake things up again".
Thanks for stopping by Sweetie! I sure do miss ya!

Well DUH! LOL

You know sometimes I think that I really would lose my head somewhere if it wasn't for it being attached! Hahaha
I got on here earlier intending to update my journal and then visited everyone else's and forgot about mine. DUH!
This has been one really GOOD week for me.
Got in my 99ozs of water everyday with 420 minutes of exercise this week. Which of course gave me a drop in weight OF 3.6 POUNDS!!!!
Oh yeah baby!!!
So I am now down to 188.6 on the scale!
Talk about a Major Accomplishment!!!!
On the side of a Minor Accomplishment I was able to wrap a "normal" sized bath towel around my chest/waist area without it gapping open for the 1st time in I don't know how long. I felt so proud walking around the pool at the YMCA. I guess you could say that I even strutted a bit.
The veggie thing is going well. I haven't grown tired of it yet and still have no pangs of desire for bread or pasta.
Though I do have to go to work tonight and that is where I seem to struggle the most. With all the vending machines staring me in the face while I am on break. I can't wait for the weather to get nice out so that I can take my breaks outside again. Away from the evil machines.
A funny thing happened this week.
As I was responding to Hajni telling her how dh and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day, due to all the commercialization, he calls me and asks, "If I could have a Heart Rate Moniter what kind would I like?"
Two weeks ago I had jokingly said that if he was thinking of getting me something for V Day to please get me a HRM instead of flowers or candy. Knowing that we don't celebrate and that they are very expensive I didn't expect to really get one.
So next week my new HRM will be here! I am so excited!! Now I will be able to see exactly how much calories that my workouts at the YMCA are burning off. And to top it off he got a really good one. No wires! Just a band that goes under the shirt with a watch type thing to wear on my wrist so no one will really know that I have it on. And as well as all that it comes with a program that can sync up to my computer so that when I come home and turn on the computer it will automatically download all the info from the workout to show me all the data. Cals burned, heartrate, length of optimal heart rate stuff like that.
One more thing. Dh is so hilarious in that he won't leave me alone....*hint hint wink wink* LOL
Mostly though right when I get back from my workouts. When I am all nasty and stinky.
He says that there is something about me coming home in my workout clothes.
He's weird I know. But I think that I will keep him! LOL
Oh and also I am now 3.6 pounds away from my 2nd mini-goal of 185. I wanted to hit it by Valentine's Day at this rate I think I will.
So I am thinking of having my littlest son's b-day as my next goal. That would put me at losing 24#'s by April 3rd.
Not sure yet though since that may be actually setting me up for a failure to not reach it as I would have to lose on average 2.5-3 pounds (more on the 3 pound side) a week for 8.5-9 weeks. That may just be to lofty. I just don't want to stress myself out over this. I have always said that I wasn't so big on losing by a certain time (hence the reason the 185 goal was never met over the holidays) just to let it go at a steady rate and when it is gone it is gone.
Maybe I will shoot for a later date in April knowing that I can aways finish early. Maybe the 25th would be a better time frame. As that would then give me 12 weeks with the average being just 2 pounds. Who knows as soon as I figure it out I'll let you all know........eventually! LOL
Well anyhow I gotta go. The kids had a snow day. Those 2 words should be banished from the English language. So since they are home they of course require lunch.
As a side note my good friend who lives in Canada says that they don't have snow days where she lives. School does not close. The buses may not run but Mom and Dad can still take their kids to school. If you normally were to ride the bus and Mom and Dad couldn't get you to school you would have an excused absence but still be expected to make up all the work you missed.
I say we should give this a try. I mean if they can do it in the Rockies where they surely get more snow than Indiana and the temps can be brutally colder than it could be done here. Just my 2cents.
Later Gators!

Phooey on your friend (and I'll tell her so myself!) And shame on you for thinking that way! LOL I love snow days! And I never have minded having my kids around (well occasionally of course.) Like this afternoon I've been busy trying to type up my letter of intent (for training), my app for why I want to go to the training center (as per their requirements) and editing my resume. Of course they want "mom-time". So I had to tell them to sort things out by themselves cause I was busy with serious stuff (not just the internet as usual.) :p

Anyway, you are doing awesome. 2.5 - 3 lbs per week does sound like a bit much especially since you are closer to goal. You might want to scale that back a bit. It is recommended to lose no more than 2 lbs per week - .5 to 2 lbs per week and you are losing correctly. Anymore than that and you may be losing more than fat. Which I don't see happening due to the way you are eating and exercising now.

Well I know work isn't fun, but try to have a good time there. And don't get caught in the snow!

Hi Dawn

I called in to check up on you and there you are with a great new low and wonderful weight drop for the week. 188.6 is brilliant and how could anyone not love a 3.6 pound drop!:party::party:

I saw on your team thread that bread was affecting you and you have just realised it. I swear that one of the best things that I do is record what I eat and my daily weight variation. Without it I would never have known that some foods work well for me and some work really badly. It can be so easy to add up the calories and think "the number is the same so why do I gain one day and lose another?".

It sounds like you are going to get a really useful Valentines Day present.

I am pleased to hear that hubby gets frisky after your work-outs - so now we find out the truth about why you go to your work-outs four nights a week!!!! No wonder you got his stamp of approval on the plan!!!!

Take care
Love
Margaret

Sweetiepea Thanks for stopping in girly!
It sure was nice to see you in person this morning. Too bad we couldn't have spent a bit more time together before the games got started. Phooey. We'll just have to set up a playdate! LOL
I imagine up in Canada if they had snowdays like we do here they would never get thru the school year. Since they actually can get snow for 300 or more days. Salina said that it actually snowed on the 4th of July last year!
So that is most likely why they have the policy in place that they do.
As far as the kids being here, I love having them home but it seems they love it irritate each other the entire time. So all day long all I hear is ,"Mom he/she did/said this." Starts to get on my nerves after awhile.
For some reason it is only on snowdays that they do this. Because currently they are being nice to one another and actually being quiet.
Oh well......'tis life I suppose.
And of course you would like snowdays! LOL That means you get a day OFF OF WORK! LOL
Silly Goose.
I think that you will have no problems getting accepted for the lead teacher training. Your to good at what you do. There is no way that I could do it. Just don't have anough patience I guess.
Hope you guys have a great time tonight celebrating your anniversary! *Wink Wink* :smilielol5:
Catch ya later.

Hi Margaret~
Thanks for dropping in me. It is such a treat as I know that you are very busy with your walking.
I was quite surprised to have such a huge drop in weight this week and of course would love to continue with another big drop next week. I just don't think though that that would be possible. Or even wise.
You know I never did put 2 and 2 together on why hubby never said no to my going to all those workouts until you just said it! LOL Naive I guess. But your most likely right!
I really can't wait until the HRM gets here and I can try it out. I will of course be on here letting everyone know how it goes.
Well I have only had about 4 hours of sleep so I need to go and get a nap in before I head out to work again. They are having me come in early to help out in some other areas and where they are putting me requires alot of brain activity. So guess I better go rest my brain!
Thanks again Margaret........it means alot to me to have your support.
Have a great weekend!

Hey you!

Yeah it was nice to see your skinny self in person today!

I should see you tomorrow too. ;)

Oh and I understand that about Canada, I guess that would suck - maybe the kids could have snow days if they went to school year round.

Sweetiepea~
Forgot to say thanks for the props on the avi.
It's one that T-dog took.
I'm telling you I got to get that boy into some lessons. Because he's got some real talent. Especially for only being 4!

Hi Bella, just wanted to see how you're getting along and I was sooooo happy to see your massive weight drop! Yeah !!!!
That's really fantastic, you must be on cloud nine!
And you've also got your heart rate monitor - but then again we all know why!!! All those sweaty, back-to-nature aromas are clearly bringing out the animal in him :smilielol5:
All I can say is, keep going girl - all physical activity burns off calories :smilielol5:

I'll come back and visit you soon. See ya around ! :seeya:

That's pretty cool that T-dog can take such good pics! He's definitely got the hang of it. I think his mama could give him better lessons than anyone else.

Thanks for the flowers and teddy bears! You're the sweetest!

Maybe sometime this next week you could skip a core class and we could do a late night in Ft. wayne? Or next week, either way, it's all good.

Hope you got to get out of work early today!

TTYL

Hi Bella! Congrats on the big weight drop!!!

I wanted to buy a hrm as well, but they're too expensive for me right now. And I'm not counting on my bf to get me one for V.Day...he's taking me out for dinner at a fancy restaurant...not very good diet-wise but incredibly romantic. :D

You look great in that pic, your kid has a real talent!

Thanks for stopping in!
I didn't get out of work until 10:50pm. :banghead:
I was so upset. The head boss had said I could go home at 8:30. So when it rolled around to be 8:20 I went into the office to say bye and was told by the assistant boss that I couldn't go. I was so upset. They were sending people home left and right but not me. And by the time I actually got to go the guy who said I couldn't go..........well he had left too!!!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:
I am glad that you liked your flowers and teddy bears. I will most certainly skip a class for you. Most likely though it will have to be next week as this week I will be taking pictures AGAIN! At least 2/3's of the basketball pics came out blurry. I don't know what happened with them as I wasn't the one taking them. But I want the parents to have their pictures by Saturday so I will be out at practice everyday this week. *Sigh*
Well gotta go.
Gil and I are meeting for lunch so gotta head.
Catch ya later.

Hey there! Thanks for stopping in. I know how busy you are and it means alot to me that you took time out to swing by.
Thanks for the kudos on the weight loss. I was quite surprised myself.
You know just for the record I never did expect to get that HRM! LOL :biggrinjester:
But I guess if being sweaty is what gets it done than maybe I'll ask for something else and see what happens!! hahahahaha:smilielol5:
Hope things are going well with you and all your studying.
Now get back to work! LOL

I know what you mean about the HRM being too expensive. That is why I never really expected to get it. :biggrinjester:
Sounds like you will be having a nice V-Day. I have to imagine that it is very romantic to eat at a fancy restaurant in Italy. I swear someday I am going to go on a tour of all of these wonderful places that everyone tells me about.
Thanks for the sweet words on the avi.
It is really quite surprising how well he takes pictures.
Once just to keep him busy while we were camping I gave him the camera and he went around and took all these really fabulous pictures.
The thing I love about them the most is that it is all from his view of the world. So something that I might totally overlook becomes very interesting from his point of view.
Catch ya later.

So did you call the teams that need retakes?

Because of the fact that it is only like 1-2 kids per team (every team needs to reshoot there team photo :banghead:)
I am going to do all of them on Saturday just before their games. That way I am not missing out on my classes this week. Because I would literally be sitting there all night every night waiting for each team to arrive for practice.
I figure if every team arrives 15 minutes early I can have them in and out in no time flat. Get 'em in, pose 'em, shoot 'em and send 'em on their way.

So I hope you guys are going to let the teams know that before Sat?
