Belinda's WL Diary

I agree with Icy. This time of the year is supposed to be a fun time, but it really has become a burden and a time of stress for a lot of people. I know I’m not a festive mood this year with everything that happened this year, but I will make the best of it. Try to take care of yourself so you don’t get sick. Good luck at your appointment!

I hope the doctor's appointment goes well. Having so many get-togethers are stressful. If only it were easy to limit how many you had to attend, but I can imagine that it's not. All our family is out of state, so we don't have that issue all the time. However, when we visit my parents, my aunts and cousins and old friends all live nearby, so it gets stressful in the same way. Luckily, it is only either Thxgiving or X-mas each year, not usually both in the same year.

Anyway, the bathroom project sounds great. Ours desperately need a renovation; I would love to be planning to install new cabinets, sinks, and mirrors, and lights in our bathrooms. It sounds exciting!

My doctor's appointment went well. I've lost 11 lbs since my last visit which wasn't even two months ago. He's doubling my dosage of Celexa from 20mg to 40mg once a day. Hopefully that works. He also asked if I was experiencing any side effects from the two medications I'm on. I explained about the dizziness and vision turning black if I stand up too quickly. He's attributing that to my blood pressure for now--as I've lost weight, my blood pressure has also dropped. He's recommended more sodium in my diet and if that doesn't seem to fix the problem, then blood work will be next.

I've just been so exhausted from everything. I really hope doubling the dosage of what I'm on helps; it worked fine the first month, then was completely useless the last few weeks. My doctor seems encouraged that I have a good tolerance for the Celexa so that's why he's increasing the dosage and not switching me completely. If I don't feel somewhat better in the next couple of weeks, I'll be giving him another call. Feeling like this is just too debilitating for what I have to get done on a daily basis.

Glad your appt went well. Hopefully the increase in dosage will help you out so you can back on track. Good luck! :)

Hi Belinda! Sorry to hear about all of your stress. I hope your medication adjustment makes you feel better. Last I see here you said you are still around 162. Do you want to keep your 162.1 for this week's weight? You are still in 3rd place without updating. Just let me know. Take care!
