Begineer Bulking question

Ok, so i am 6'2 172lbs and I have been working out for about 2 months with a personal trainer, I have really started to notice great gains, I am starting to see my abs and my arms are getting bigger (my biceps were 11.5 and now they are 12.5)I run 3 miles in the morning My diet is Breakfast 1 ultramet shake (41g protein) 4egg whites and one whole egg and a bowl of oatmeal with a bananna. I have a turkey sandwich for a early lunch and then fish and pasta for lunch then I either go to the boxing gym for training (m,w,t,st) or the weight gym (m,t,f,sun) I have another ultra met shake after my workout then later I eat dinner usally a steak,fish,pasta and veggies. And now for my question regarding bulking. I consider myself skinny I want to be bigger but I am scared of so called bulking because it seems when I gain weight it always goes to my stomach. So what do I do to my diet to gain more muscle weight ? Some people have told me that I should eat 4000 calories a day and eat whateer I want including junk but that does not seem right (but the people that told me this are huge (muscular) I know Im rambling but Im just really confused about bulking I dont want to get fat after all the hard work I have done so far. Thanks in advance for any help. oh ya i usally burn around 3000 calories a day. will post pics if it will help
 
dont listen to your friends then. to limit the fat while bulking you want to make sure your diet is clean, you should be eating lots of healthy food not junk food! you say you usually burn about 3,000 cals a day? well to bulk you usually have to add 500 cals to those 3,000. if i was you i would start with 3200 a day for a week if you havnt gained nothing in a week then add another 200 the next week you should keep doing this until you are gaining between 1-2lbs a week consitantly. oh yh make sure you keep the cardio, 2 cardio sesions a week will be fine.
 
the first time bulking CAN be incredibly confusing. and yes, that whole "fat going right to the stomach issue" is quite annoying, but its one that you are going to unfortnately have to deal with. with men, the first place that fat tends to start to "gather" is the stomach and those lovely things called love handles. It's not the nicest thing, but that's why we Cut after we Bulk :)
