Before & Now (so nervous!)

Ok, I’ve been reading through some posts the past few days and have finally decided to make one of my own! I was initially going to wait until I had lost my last 25 pounds but what the heck. I need some encouragement!

I’m 5ft 4 and 17 years old. I’ve definitely struggled with my weight my whole life, but this past summer I was at my worst. In the picture on the left I was probably between 170-180 lbs. But after looking back on that exact picture (trust me, it really shows my whole body and it ain’t pretty…) this past January I finally decided to do something and started watching what I ate (I haven’t had bread in months!) and getting back into running and doing FIRM workout tapes. I’ve sort of stopped for the past few weeks because of finals but Monday I’m joining Lady of America to lose 25 more lbs and build some muscle. The picture on the right was taken like 30 minutes ago and I’m about 150.

I’m way too embarrassed to show full body shots yet even though I know you guys are super nice and supportive, but hopefully in a couple months I will!
Anyway, thanks again!

(I hope the picture shows up...)

You actually look 17 now ;) It hardly looks like the same person really, your eyes are alot more.... Hard to put into words :) But you're looking ALOT better!
Keep it up :) Just don't be afraid of brown bread! Aslong as you burn it off, it's all good.

congragulations!! You look younger, its so different, waiting to see the pics after you lose it all! Good luck!

Aww, thanks guys, the comments really help!
And about the bread, I still eat other carbs like brown rice or I have noodles in my soup, but I think cutting out bread really helped. It's a killer for me, I love it so much, but I'm surprisingly OK with not having it now.

You're so lovely.. Building muscle mass will definitely help in not gaining back. I can't wait to see your full body pics when you get to goal!

hahah perfect timing too...losing the weight + braces makes you look a lot more like 17 than 12! I was lucky in that I got mine off before high school a couple of years ago. 'Grats.

Very Nice!!!

You look terrific!!! (your before pic shows you are a natural beauty - losing weight only accentuates your beauty)

Keep up the good work!
