Before...and in between..238 - 195lbs, another 50lbs to go

I found their website but they don't tell you how to measure but say that we should try the bras on to see which fit best. That's a pretty stupid thing for an online site to say. I think I will just have to make do for now and go later in the year.
Your legs are probably better than you think. I looked at mine and still saw huge legs until I started getting compliments on them from my husband, sisters and friends and then had a really good look at them and compared them with other legs and they really aren't so bad :) They are getting more exercise at the moment than they ever have had.

Thank you for the post! We have very similar body types.. I was once 255 and now I am down to 179, it is a long hard road but I feel the best is yet to come.. Also, I keep finding that by buying clothes one size smaller it makes me more concious of that I want to keep losing and when they are baggy you feel that much better. lol

Well done blissful!! Really glad that you've been so successful at getting the weight off - and like you, I feel if I have come this far, then I can go further...if I was stuck at this weight at size for the rest of my life it would be ok. I could be sporty and active and relativley healthy and find clothes that I looked ok in...HOWEVER...wind that down another 14lbs...and another 14lbs and I would be ON TOP OF THE FRIGGIN' WORLD!!

So whilst I am really pleased with how much I've done so far...I agree...the best it yet to come!

That's exactly how I feel. Another stone will be great just to get rid of the last bit of belly but I wouldn't stress about being this weight for the rest of my life. It's really more important to me to stay mobile as so many of my friends can hardly get up from a chair without groaning and I guess that's what I was like 6 months ago. I couldn't even cut my own toe nails then.

heh.

Thanks for all of the lovely posts guys over the last few days!!

Val, I speak as I feel now of course!! I wonder if I jumped forward a year or so and I was still this weight...how long it would take me to feel unconfident and like clothes didn't look great and moan about looking for a size 16 in shops!!! Whereas I went shopping yesterday and I was like...wow...this shop has lots of things in a size 16 and they all fit as opposed to OMG they have no size 18s in teh things I like, and even the ones that they do have look dreadful and are too small. In fact, I even fitted into a couple of size 14 things in Monsoon and Oasis - obviously because they were cut a certain way but it was enough to make me feel fantastic.

But its great not to get out of breath sprinting for a bus or going up flights of stairs...the more practical stuff like being able to do the sports I like... I've wanted to start sailing again for ages but was too fat to get into a wetsuit or look "ok" with a buoyency jacket on...plus smaller dingeys have a maximum weight for the crew and I just didn't even want that to be going through peoples' minds!!! Or kayaking - the thought of trying to sit in one and my bottom being too big?!!!? Or rock climbing...couldn't even lift my own body weight a while back and I used to do SO much climbing in my early 20s...all these things I like to do...now I can think about starting up again.

hey hey hey - some more update photos now I am at 183 and another 1/2 stone has come off. Feeling GREAT!!! Size 16 and fitting into a 14 in some cuts!¬

Thanks guys!!!! For all the kind comments!

I am feeling GREAT :D

AngelWings, I'm around 5ft 6 - 7 inches so I don't know whether that means I carry the weight well or not!!! hahaha

The big difference re toning has been taking up running - its changed my bottom and my stomach - all that "core" muscle exercise and also my upper arms - just through sheer movement back and forth for up to an hour each run I go for!!

I feel there is a big difference in the last 7-10lbs...can't wait to see what i look like at 175lbs!!

Oh my!!

I was just browsing around...pokin' in and out of the threads when I found these! Holdin out on me huh??

Well done Jjjay Jjjay!!! Proof is in the pictures! You got the recipe for success!!!
And there's no stoppin' you now!

Awesome!
