Ok, I'm a long time lurker, but first time poster and I thought I should share my pics in case they inspire anyone! I am not sure what my exact weight was in the first picture here, but in the second one I am 137, and I have lost 65 pounds total. I plan to lose 10-15 more.

I count my calories every day, am vegan, and do yoga a few times a week. :)

By the way, I'm 5'3"

Aren't those last couple pounds always the toughest to lose?

I lost 60 pounds during about 5 months. This was a year ago, over which I gained back 10 slowly. In the last 2 months I lost 15 to undo the damage.

Sorry but had to point out the fact that we're twinkies.
I too lost 50-60 lbs, gained some back, and am looking to lose 15-20 more.
Oh yeah, I'm also 5'4" and a VEGAN.

GOOD LUCK SISTAH

Thanks for posting these! I'm 5"4', we're about the same age, and I'm still in the process of losing, so this was definitely inspirational. Can I ask if you have any loose skin? I'm losing it slowly, but due to my (our) age, it's the one thing I'm dreading when I get back down to goal.

Congratulations on the loss!

No problems with skin. I'm 23 by the way. I don't think I mentioned that.

Wow.. what a BIG weight loss... Congratulations!
60 pounds in 5 month is a very nice accomplishment..
Those 15 lbs should be no problem at all.
Good luck with it!

wow... did you switch to being vegan at the beginning of the 5 months? details on how you did it please =P that is crazy!

congratulations and good luck on finishing up

I was technically vegan before I started but I was overeating and making poor food choices like greasy takeout, pasta, soda and soft drinks, alcohol, etc and those things make the calories really add up. To lose the weight I aim for between 1,000 and 1,300 calories a day. Some cheat days would occur naturally. I focus on eating more vegetables now, because they are so low in calories and filling.

Here are some recent examples from my food diary:

Today:
-bowl of maple oatmeal
-bowl of homemade soup (cabbage, chickpeas, and other veggies)
-1/2 cup muesli (oats with seeds and raisins) cooked and topped with 1 chopped apple
-cup of brown rice topped with steamed curry cabbage and a chopped up boca soy burger
-another bowl of the soup
-1 fruit-nut square candy
TOTAL: 1,070

Yesterday:
-bean burrito with peach mango salsa
-smoothie of 1 c. vanilla soymilk plus some frozen pineapple
- homemade soup (kale, mixed beans, and carrots)
-half serving of vegan frozen pizza
- one fruit-nut square candy
-whole wheat tortilla filled with steamed caulflower, carrots, and broccoli and topped with peach mango salsa
-2 candy canes
TOTAL: 1,059
