I got tired of lookin at the side by sides. So I decided to just post some random after pics as well.

Oh and I also feel as though it's important for me to say that just because I've reached my goal, doesn't really mean I'm "finished". Healthy is a lifestyle. I still tend to struggle daily with my eating. So I'm not done, I've only entered another phase of my journey.

(Close up. Lol)

Wow, Big difference

You look great. I was just wondering how tall you are and what things you did to lose the weight (i.e. how much calories you are, exercise, etc).

Thanks. I am about 5'5", and my starting weight was 180lbs. I basically just changed my eating habits and started working out to lose my weight. At the begining I think I was eating around 1500 calories but calorie needs vary from person to person. It all depends on your bodies individual nutritional intake needs. There are several useful online reasources when it comes to deciding how many calories are right for you.

Calories fuel your body and are made up of Carbs, proteins, and fats.

1g of Carb= 4 calories

1g of Protein= 4 calories

1g of Fat= 9 calories. (Ahh!) (Only 20% of your calories should come from fat)

Exercise wise- I do alot of walking and jogging. (and pilates!)

Slow weight loss is key to success. Alot people get discouraged if they don't lose five and six pounds every week, but from a nutritional stand point that's not realisitic, or healthy. I about lost one to two pounds every week. I think the most I ever lost was four.

So yeah, don't skip breakfast, drink lots of water, etc, etc and you'll do fine.

Hope this was somewhat helpful. Good Luck!

Wow! Congrats! You look like a completely different person! How long have you been working at this for?

You look so happy and healthy now! Congrats again!

Wow, you look wonderful! And I agree with the others above, you do look much happier and more energetic! Congratulations on the success!

You look amazing. Like a different person! Thanks for posting these pix. Speaking as someone just starting out on this "adventure" - it's a big inspiration to see people who have been successful :)
