Before and During...Not Done Yet!!!

Wow you guys :)

How cool was it for me to read all of the great things you said about me...geez, I was totally not 'done' in that pic or anything...guess I will have to post a pic of me on the big day so y'all can see how I look cleaned up...

I feel amazing in that dress and I guess it shows based on your reactions to it.

Things like this keep me going when it gets hard - you guys are the absolute best!

Ok - I haven't done this yet and it is at Brian's suggestion that I am doing it...side by side comparisons. First is December 2004. Second was last week, October 2008.

There is a resemblance there but the change in you is remarkable.

You know something? I see it. I used to be able to look at old pictures of me and see myself still as that person. More and more the person in the picture looks like a stranger.

I am still gamely plugging away and have needed a few well-deserved kicks in the ass along the way but I know now that I will meet my goal, it is really just a matter of when I will do it.

That side-by-side is great! That dress really is very pretty. Can't wait to see you all dressed up. :)

My favorite s-b-s is still the ones with your daughter in the stroller at the beach - it was cool seeing how you grew down while she grew up. ;)

You have every right to be proud of yourself, Ali. You look wonderful!
 
Ange - I went back and looked at that pic - my stomach is hanging down...ewwwww. Definately a HUGE difference (no pun intended).

Ali, you look terrific! First things being first! That has to be said. I can relate to you..not only your starting weight and progress--I took am taking it fairly slow, but I am guilty of having those pics with the belly showing at my highest weight(argh!).

I also wanted to add to your thoughts throughout this thread in regards to weight training/strength training. I started that more regularly in the last 2 months and although I have seen some slowing in the weight loss area, the difference in how my body looks is amazing. There are less 'lumps' and it is more shapely. I think it helps with what you actually see in the mirror and how you percieve your body to look. I actually like how I look now, even though I know I still have fat to lose and work to do. I really credit that with strength training that, despite the remaining fat made me feel and look more trim and toned. It's good stuff!!!

Good for you! Keep it up...I'm about 8 months behind you on my journey and look forward to following where you have been!

Ali, looking great, of course. What is a real shocker, though, is that second picture. Damn! look at those guns and shoulders! I think you got to show some flexing pictures.

That is so funny that you guys are so impressed with the second picture - I know that it was good but I didn't think that it was that good :)

Flexing pics, eh? I still have residual fat under my arms that may ruin the overall effect...although I did flex for my brother and his friends the other night...

I'm such a classy dame, I'll tell ya...
