Just thought I would share some before ( can't believe I'm actually showing this!) and after shots now that I have finally reached a point where I'm finally happy with my weight. I used to be a size 28 and am now 10-12 and have kept off for over a year. It can be done! I wish everyone well on their weight-loss journey and keep using this website as a source of information and encouragement!

Holy cow! That's really great. You're truly a different person. Is that the same child in both pics?

Adorable.

You look fantastic! And, I bet you feel so much better and full of energy...thanks for the motivating pictures! It is wonderful that you have been able to maintain this loss...keep up the good work!

OMG! you look amazing! you look like a totally different person and you look so happy in your after pic! it's very motivational for those of us starting this long journey. all the best xoxo

Amazing job. You look so much younger too! Congrats!
May I ask what you did as far as exercise, diet, etc.? If that's the same child (cute!) then your progression was awesome.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments!!
As for looking younger, I do feel younger & am sure I've added years to my life. I've never experienced life as slim person, was big as a child & just kept on getting bigger into adulthood. Made me self conscious, uncomfortable, and though I seemed happy and smiling, I was dying inside.
In fact, my before pic. was taken AFTER I had already lost 12 kgs. I couldn't find any pics when I was at my heaviest, cause I refused to have my picture taken.
As for exercise, I just waiked & walked. In the beginning I could only manage to walk for 2 mins at a time & have to stop to catch my breath- that's how out of shape I was!
The looks from people while walking everyday eventually put me off, so I bought a treadmill & have never looked back. I'm on my second treadmill now, as I blew the engine off the first one! lol.
On a typical day I would have for
Breakfast:
2 slice wholemeal bread & avacado on it
1 banana
30gram bran & no fat milk

Lunch:
Fish & veg

Dinner:
120grams chicken & salad

Snacks throughout the day: 10 almonds, 2 prunes, 1 boiled egg (or low fat yogurt), & fruit.

I'm no dietitian but that's a typical days menu & as an added bonus I found my skin is clearer!
Yes, that's the same child in the pics! all up it took 18months to lose those darned kilo's.
