Before, After....and Now

I am embarassed to post this because I was an after and now I am 30lbs heavier than my after...but if posting this and facing the embrassment keeps me accountable, it will be worth it!
Picture 1 is my before...at an all time high of 190-ishlbs. (I am 5.2 tall)..I was 21 years old. (I lost about 70lbs over the course of a year shortly after that picture was taken. Don't you love that I am EATING in it?!)

Picture 2 is my after, taken 3 years ago at approximately 130lbs. (God I loved being this size!!)

Picture 3 is now:mad: - since I started working from home I gained 35lbs..so I am now 165lbs *sob*

I am determined to lose these pesky 35lbs...I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure so that is also a big kick in the pants for me.
Good luck everyone!

wow

Jules, you are a fantastic sexy girl. I'd kill to have the belly from pic 2. However the weight on your most recent pic doesn't change your beauty at all! You just look more innocent. :) But high blood pressure is nasty thing so you have to do it for your health. Unfortunetely it means to say good-bye to the salt. Good luck in your fight with the pressure :)

Well, number one, you are beautiful at all of the weights!

Do not be embarrased about putting some weight back on, it happens, particularly when you make a lifestyle change (working from home). So don't beat yourself up.

If you looked in my closets you would see three sets of suits:

Thin me suits- One or two very high quality suits, tailored to fit the lean mean me 190 - 200lbs. Bought with a sense of celebration for losing weight. Very little used.

Big Fat me suits- One or two for the 280-300lb tub o lard me. Very very expensive (big fat suits cannot be bought cheap). Expertly tailored because hell, if I can't look good, at least I can be comfortable! Used more than the thin suits but not much more (thankfully).

Fat me suits- 5 or 6 cheap, off the rack, 99 dollar suits. I'll-fitting, worn beyond redemption, but always with a sense of "why bother wasting money on a suit now, I'll be thinner soon!! These are the suits I live in.

I have Yo-yoed up and down in weight for over thirty years. I finally realised that eating right and exercising never ends, even when I reach my goal! So unless I want to diet every day for the rest of my life, I need to make permanent changes to my eating, my activity level and my thinking about myself and the world.

I need to start living the lifestyle of a 190lb active man and I will become one. And I need to do this forever. Or I might as well start buying nice suits in every size from 42 reg to 56 portly.

Start thinking about what you did to lose the weight and what you did to gain it back. Engineer a lifestyle to ensure that you will slowly lose the weight and keep it off forever.

You'll be even more stunning sooner than you know!

I agree with all the people who say you're still pretty no matter what you weigh! But definitely for your health, take some weight off. I had high blood pressure at my top weight of 235, and dropping 10 pounds off of that was all it took to fix it. I imagine about the same would work for you (although I am not a doctor so I have no real idea). But best of luck and I'm pulling for you!

You and I are on the same train. I was 152 lbs two and a half years ago, then I went on a diet and worked out like a mad person and managed to slim down to 116 lbs. (I'm 5'1")... After that, I started eating a lot again and I stopped going to the gym. I started gaining a little bit of weight here and there but no big deal because I was still in the 120s, then it's the 130s and that's not that bad, and so on and so forth... to make a long story short I am now 154 lbs. (2 lbs. heavier than I ever was before) and I decided that it was ridiculous and that it had to stop! So I'm taking action!! There's nothing to be ashamed about, we just can't let this happen to us ever again.

We're going to lose this weight, you and I, and this time is forever... do we have a deal? :)

I'll have to agree with everyone in saying you're beautiful no matter what size you are. I'm 5'1" so I know how difficult it is to carry a lot of weight on a smaller frame. (I used to be 225) You're determined and you're going to do this, Jules. :) Wishing you luck... Oh and before I forget, try starting a journal. Journals are great for motivation as well as keeping you accountable.

Yes I have to agree with Shreyl, starting a journal is a great first step. I have one, there's a link to it on my signature if you want to check it out! :)

Thank you so much everyone :)
I am very embarassed that after 11 years of maintaining a good, healthy weight I let myself slide like I did but I am oh so determined to get back on track. The blood pressure issue is very frightening to me and I really do not want to go on medication!

Wendola, I most certainly am going to lose this and yes, you have a deal! A journal is a great idea. I have been thinking about starting a weight loss blog of my own to track and monitor my progress. I purchased some software to help track my fat, calorie and protein intake. I am currently looking at about 1500-1600 calories per day (30% protein, 30% fat and 40% carbs..because I love my carbs!)

Best of luck everyone!!! It really does help to just throw yourself out there..I want to post another after pic with my 35lbs gone before December. I figure 5 months is a good time estimate for me to get back to a healthy weight (and it co-incides with when I have to go back to my Dr. to check my blood pressure levels again!)

Damn girl you are smoking hot at every weight!

In anycase never fear you'll reach your goal in no time.

I've lost 35lbs in a month.

Its really not all that much to lose so you'll get there for sure.

You can do it:] I love your hair. I wish I could do bangs. I just don't think my face shape could handle it. You are lucky!

You are gorgeous no matter what weight you are!

I'll let you in on a little secret..the only reason I have bangs is because I have a super high forehead. Seriously, it's awful! LOL

Well.. my forehead isn't huge.. but uh.. I have these indents on my dead in places I HATE. I wish bangs would work. I just went with the side swoop bang things.. they cover at least one side of my big indents :[

Oh yes and that is another reason I have bangs! When I was a kid with the measles I picked a scab which was smack bang (pardon the pun!) in the middle of my forehead, so I have a little hole there too LOL
I think you look gorgeous with side-swept bangs! They are very flattering:)
