Hi everyone!

I’ve been looking around this forum and there are some really inspirational stories. I’m so inspired that I’ve decided to give weight loss a serious go. Feel free to post hints/ tips or any kind of support, all is appreciated.

Here’s my story: I’ve been gradually gaining weight since I started University 4½ years ago. A mixture of a bad diet and a relatively inactive lifestyle has led me to put on 60lbs. My attitude has been somewhat lax towards dieting, I’ve always thought I could lose the weight but “easier said than done” is probably the most appropriate phrase to use. Ideally I’d like to get back to my initial weight.

Stats;
Sex: Male, Age: 22
Height: 6ft 4½
Current Weight: 247lbs
Target Weight: 185lbs

The main motivations for my weight loss include;

1. Fit into my wardrobe full of clothes
2. I’d love the confidence to start swimming again
3. I’d like to run a marathon

I’m starting my new job in September so I’ve got 5/6 months to make steps towards reaching my goal. To help me achieve the weight loss I’m going to count the calories I consume and expend.
