Becoming yummy!

Hey Congrats on the house Isabelle!!! I can't wait to start looking for one but we got to work on our finances first!! So Happy for you, new house and out of your rut!!! Good Times!

Well I spoke to soon - three more days of bad eating. I have decided not to weigh in this month but to work towards my 6 month weigh in instead. My goal for six months is to have lost 28 lbs (2 stone)

I'm not sure why I keep messing up, but it always starts mid afternoon, so I need to work on getting past that mid afternoon slump.

Thanks Jericho, Hanabi and Verobc for dropping in.

I do the same. I am good till lunch and then after lunch it goes downhill. From last week, however, I am trying to eat PROPER lunch, that fills me up for a while and it has worked. If I can stay within 650 cals till 3pm, I'm good. That is because I have a bigger dinner (family visiting). My cousin is leaving next week, and I will not have the obligation to eat with her every night, so can go back to eating light dinner and bigger breakkie.

Diet is still a bit up and down. Am hovering around 133lbs still (same as last month) -goes up and down, but pretty much 133. Have been exercising more though - have done 20 mins of Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred for the last week. Is a quick workout, so even a busy mum like me can fit it in, and is really effective. I like the toned look you get when you work out - always makes me feel better about myself. I am going to visit my Mum and Dad at the end of July, which means going to the beach, so it would be nice to have a more toned tummy by then.

Juni - I like to be able to have a big dinner too, because it is social. I usually eat with my husband, although sometimes he gets home late so I eat alone.

Hey Isabel, I just noticed that in my last post I misspelled your name, sorry I wrote it in french. I hear a lot of good things about the 30day shred, I am starting to be interested but I have a few dvd's at home so I will have to stick with those! So when is the big move?? Are you exited!

Congratulations about your new house -- that is so exciting! I read that most people gain a pound or two when they start doing the 30-day shred, so don't be worried if that happens. They say it comes right off in about a week.

Have now moved house! Will back on here more regularly once my internet connection is sorted out. Have updated my weight as of today.

Move went well but lots to do - still getting all the furniture etc. Haven't had much time to do exercise DVDs but there are big hills here, so even taking baby for his walk is a great workout! Hubby reckons he's lost weight just walking to the station and back each day...

Mostly raw foods? That's awesome..So what exactly have you been having? I've been thinking about having a "raw week" or at least for a few days as a sort of detox

Hi Sunflower. I have a large fruit salad for breakfast - as many different and interesting fruits as I can find, with big veg salads for lunch and dinner or sometimes a raw gazpacho soup of tomatoes, red peppers, garlic and a little cayenne pepper. The salads are most tasty if you really go mad experimenting with different veggies. I find including beans, lentils or avocados make it really tasty. Also a small quantity of nuts or seeds can make it interesting. I also include some olive oil and balsamic vinegar, although I've had it without and it's still tasty - but I feel that it's good to include some healthy fats. I also snack on fruits throughout the day, and drink caffiene free teas such as Red Bush, plus water, juice and smoothies. I really enjoy this diet, as it is satisfying and makes you feel really good.

I'm planning to make this a part of my longer term diet, but will add in fish, dairy products and occasional rye bread and brown rice or pasta (I have never eaten meat). I also want to include those veggies that can't be eaten raw and have cooked veg sometimes. I don't plan on being a total saint/raw food bore - I still want to be able to have the odd takeaway or go to a bbq and eat something normal but I think that making raw foods a big part of my diet would be easy and healthy and the weight is coming off nicely.

That sounds really good..I might give it a shot and see how I like it. I love raw foods but am quite fussy and reluctent to try new food so might be a good little test for me! Anyway, good luck with it all and hope to see some results!! xxx

Been on mostly raw foods for 12 days - loved it! Now have a very social weekend so will be having a few treats, but then I'm going to do another 5 days on mostly raw foods, but going to include some other healthy things such as dairy products, a little fish and maybe some porridge. After that, I'm on holiday for two weeks yay!

How did the raw diet for 12 days affect your weight? That is so major determination - I bet you felt so great! Hope the weekend went well and you are back to raw foods! Let us know how it's going!!

Raw foods = really good for a weight loss boost. Hubby lost several inches, and helped me get off a few pounds that had been really hard to lose. Also really good for energy, as we ate lots of beans and lentils, so didn't feel weak. Have been on hols (visiting relatives) for a few weeks though, so off the diet. Will get back on it when I get back. Thanks everyone for popping in :)

Hey Isabel

I am happy to hear that all is going well....I am trying to includ alot more raw food to my diets, can't go all raw cause kids and hubby would probably stop eating all together haha.....then again that would save me some money ;) Glad to see the move went well....Keep it up!

Have been off the diet for a few weeks due to being away - keen to get back on it and get back to where I was. Am going away again at the end of the month, so really want to be back on it in time for that.

Am going to be eating lots of raw food, including beans, lentils, juices and smoothies, plus cooked veg, some dairy and a little fish. May have a few treats on the weekends, but will be stricter during the week.

I am on the raw diet at lunch time lol I am doing the salad thing again at lunch.....I should just make salads for me and other meals for my familly !!! I think it's great that you are doing this!!!! Keep it up!

Okay, so I've not been on here for a few months and I have to admit there's been some backsliding. I've updated my ticker to show where I'm at and I've joined the Halloween Challenge...
