Becoming yummy!

On a happier note, the jeans that were too tight for me at the beginning of the year are now getting lose. They are not very nice jeans, so I'll be delighted when they no longer fit!

Haaaahahaha! That's amazing :) I'm the opposite- I have sooo many adorable jeans that I've never been able to wear, and I like to try em on periodically just* to make sure the fit is getting better, lol.
Don't worry about the binge- just refocus and move forward. Keep up the great work!

Interesting reading about your shopping and the jeans. One of the small pleasures of weight loss for me is being able to fit again into clothes that I outgrew years ago. Good luck with the weigh-in.

Jess, WantToLose - thanks for dropping in - my weight has always yo-yo'd , therefore I always have a range of sizes in my wardrobe. This is the first time that I've been on a long, sensible and sustained diet, though.

I've never been hugely overweight, but I am short and small boned, and also extremely pear-shaped, so I feel very aware of my weight when I'm at the heavier end of the spectrum. I can disguise my pear-shape to some degree with clever dressing and heels, but not in flats or something like a swim-suit. Even at my goal weight, I can still expect to have a chunky lower half and a scrawny upper half, but it would really feel good to me to be able to walk into a shoe shop and be able to fit into a standard pair of knee-high boots. I think when I can do that, I will be very happy with my weight.

Today I went jogging for the first time since I had the baby. I tried to go in Jan but it was too icy, and didn't try again until today. I really enjoyed it and look forward to going again :)

Hey Good job on running, I get to go running this week if the weather permits I have never been runner but I am enjoying it too, I can only do it every 2 weeks when the hubby is working days. Do you bring the baby with you when you go out to jog???? I thought about doing it but with a 3year old who doesn't stop asking why this why that every second of the run it's not as enjoyable plus my double stroller isn't made for jogging.

Hi Verobc - no I don't take baby jogging - I'd be afraid of tripping up and hurting him, though I have seen other people do it fine.

Today is my monthly weigh in - I've lost 5 lbs this month, which was the target I set for myself, so I'm pleased with that - especially as my parents were staying this week, and they always lead me astray!

Baby is 6 months today - can't believe how fast it goes...

No loss this week due to too much socialising, but I'm raring to go again. My goal for this month is to lose 4lbs, which would get me down to 129.

Good Job Isabel!!!! Five 5lb last month is great! I know what you mean about time going by to fast, my little girl is starting school in September and my baby boy is now walking.......Where have the little babies gone?? Enjoy the 6 month stage I remember then I could still use the bathroom with the door closed lol!

My 'little' 6 month old managed to overturn his baby gym today. He's very tall and strong for his age. I haven't put him on solids yet as he has a tummy upset and I've been advised to wait, but he's head and shoulders above all his friends the same age.

This week I'm focusing on healthy eating. It's not enough to be staying within my cal limits - I need to work on the nutrition side of things too...

I hope your baby is ok.....I know what you mean about being taller. When ever I go out with my daughter people are always suprised that she is only 3 they all think she is 5 or 6 and when we visited the school her size kind of match the 1st grader rather then the pre kindergarden. She takes after her god father he is 6"3 lol. I hopw his tummy gets better soon, I started my kids on solid in very small quantity at 6wk for my dauther (she had bad reaction to all formula so the DR said to start with solid so she would have to drink less formula) and 12wks for my son. If the DR told you to wait then you should!!! The nutrition thing is soo important you are completely right. You have to eat nourishing foods not just low cal!

Wahoo - got back into a pair of (uk) size 10 jeans. I'm mostly wearing size 12 jeans still though - you know how the sizes vary from shop to shop. But that's two pairs of 10s that fit now so I think I can say I'm a 10-12. My ultimate goal is a size 8. This does not look too skinny on me as I am small and bottom heavy. I also have quite a mummy tummy to lose still.

Poor baby still has diarrear. It's been nearly two weeks now, but he seems pretty well considering...

Baby is finally better. Had his first taste of rice this morning :)

Diet has been terrible this week. Binged 4 days, overate 1 day, was good for 2 days. I'll be lucky just to maintain this month. Must rededicate myself to my weight loss journey. I've come too far to let it slip now...

Been reading your journal but haven't commented before today. Congratulations on the loss so far. You have come a loooooong way. Don't let a few days here and there let you down. Good luck!!

I am glad the baby is feeling better! It's fun when they start eating, did he enjoye the it or did he just look at you with a look that said "what do you want me to do with this?" LOL Both of my kids craked me up the first time I put food in her mouth, there expression was priceless!

We all have bad days, week and in my case the month of april and may not good the trick is to keep going!! Never stop!

Baby looked insulted that he'd waited over six months for food and all I gave him was rice. I think he was at least expecting the cheesecake he'd had his eye on!

Still having some good days and some bad days diet wise. I checked this morning and I haven't gained any, thank god, but I need to really get to work if I am going to lose some more this month. Hopefully I can drag myself out of this. It's very true that all I really need to do is to keep going and not give up. Yesterday was a good day, so I just need to take it from there....

All I needed to get me out of my rut is to kick myself in the behind and go for a power walk!!!!! 30 min is all it took!! If I was able to do that so can you!!!!

Yeah, it can be so easy to get stuck in a rut. I am heading that way myself right now. I'm going to try to mix it up by trying new combos for my meals. Sometimes if I force myself to eat a lot of vegetables for a while, even if I don't want to, habit takes over and I am back on track. Keep looking forward!

Juni - Sorry- missed your post above. Thanks for dropping in!

Verob - Yup, exercise is deffo a good incentive. Did quite a bit over the weekend :)

Want2lose - I think it will be easier now the weather's hot. I sometimes over eat just because I'm bored sitting at home.

Think I've got the diet under control again. Am trying to avoid eating too much sugary stuff because I think that's what makes me want to binge.

Went house hunting yesterday and found two beautiful houses in the countryside - both at the top of big hills. Have put in an offer on one of them. If we don't get it, will go for the other. Either way, should be some good exercise pushing baby up and down the hill once we move.

Yesterday I did my Jillian Michael 20 min workout - great stuff - also did two 30 min walks as it was so beautiful out. Tried on some more old clothes and found I could fit into my size ten work trousers so I'm deffo a (UK) 10-12 now. Also bought a size 10 denim mini skirt which I didn't try on till I got home. It fitted :)

Got our first choice house. We move in three weeks :)

Got over my diet blip - seem to be back on form. Just as well - my monthly weigh in is on Tuesday....

That sounds like a great one-two bit of great news!

Congrates on the house.

Congrates on the moving over the diet blip. I wish I could get past mine lately.

Keep it up. You have a lot to be proud of.

Hey there! I don't think I've commented here before, but I was just reading through it now.
That's really great that you got the house!! How exciting!
Good for you getting back on track with your diet. Good luck with the upcoming weigh-in!
