Becoming yummy!

Yeah, you're right - trouble is I need to find something which doesn't take more than 30 or 40mins as that's all I can usually fit in. I have a couple of much tougher DVDs but they are really long. I don't enjoy working out on my own without a DVD - I just find it a bit boring and it has to be something I can do at home while baby is asleep...

Excellent! I bet you feel pretty proud of yourself for getting 10 pounds down. How are you feeling? Do you feel good with the changes you have made?

Hi Jericho - I\m feeling great! It's actually been surprisingly easy so far, which makes me ask the question: Why the hell couldn't I have done this before?

Made it to the gym last night so did lots of cardio and a little weights. Also got in a 30 min walk on the way there...

Hi Isabel. I would definitely suggest you try kettlebells for home workouts that are short and easy to do. You'll burn up to 1000cals per hour but even 30min is 500 cals! Look at some of the kettlebell exercises on youtube and then think of investing in a 4kg or 8kg bell and a dvd to go with it. I got one but I wouldn't recommend it!

Way to go on Brown Team win this week and keep up the hard work!!

Congratulations on the 10 lb weight loss Isabel! :) That's definitely something to be proud of.

I have to say, I really like your idea of only weighing in monthly. The idea scares me a bit because I'm big on watching the scale, but, as you mentioned, it sounds like a good way to try and beat the tendencies that go with yo-yo dieting. It seems to be working for you anyways.

20to10 - thanks for the suggestion -I'll look into that. I don't even know what kettlebells are, but I like stuff that involves weights. I also decided to get some 3lb weights as I am using 2.5lb weights for my other DVDs and I find them a bit too easy.

Cellerystick- My official weigh in is once a month, but I do allow myself to peek in between times - it just doesn't count until the 1st of each month...

Hi Isabel. Brown team member checking in. Here's my exercise this week, since weigh in on Tuesday

Tuesday: aquafit toning 1 hr
Wednesday: personal trainer, mostly kettlebells and cardio, 1 hr AND aquafit cardio 1hr
Thursday: break
Friday: 30min turbo jam
Saturday: 50min turbo jam
Sunday: ?

How's your week going with the exercise?

Tonight is a friends 30th birthday party and it's the first time I'll be exposed to party food and booze. I already planned my drinks and counted them in my daily cals intake (5 1oz Bacardis with Diet 7up (zero cals) and a splash of lime cordial) and am leaving about 450 cals for 'party foods' which I'll limit to straight protein (meatballs, chicken wings, etc) and no pastry or bread based foods.

I can't wait until the clothing sizes go down, though I'm about 18 now, I'm waiting until the monthly measuring and clothing size check (Feb 10) to say for sure what the monthly results are!

Hope everything is going good for you and baby is happy and sleeping a lot! :)

20to10 - I ordered myself some kettlebells and a workout DVD to go with it. Also some other new DVDs, just to keep things interesting. Hope they arrive soon! I'm still trying to get hold of some 3lb dumbells as my 2.5lb ones are a bit too light for me.

I've done plenty of exercise this week and it's been a decent week dietwise, but I'm afraid I may be coming up for a plateaux, which is a shame, least of all because I can't really spell plateaux. Really hope I can knock off a pound for tomorrow's biggest loser weigh in, but can't count on it...

Yea - Hubby's going to try to leave work early tonight so he can watch baby while I go to the gym. Hope this works out - it would give me a better shot at tomorrow's weigh-in.

Well done increasing your weights and getting new DVDs, fingers crossed for your weigh in :)

Damn- hubby got held up at work, so no last chance workout for me tonight :(
Still, I worked out 4 times this week and ate well. We'll just have to see what the scales say tomorrow...

Didn't lose for biggest loser this week, but scale is flickering so I think another pound will be coming off soon.

My friend just named the day for her baby's christening - July 3rd, which is just after my goal date of July 1st. This will give me an added incentive as I will be the god mother and want to look nice in the pictures. Plus I get to buy a new dress :)

We both worked hard this week but didn't see results, but we have to remain motivated and not give up!

Just think how good that dress will feel on you in July!!

:)

20to10 -My kettlebell arrived! I got a 5lb one to start me off. What weight do you work out with? I'm not sure the DVD that came with it actually features the kettlebell! If not, I'll have to get another one...

Today is my two month weigh in. I've lost six pounds this month - 16 lbs total, so I'm pretty happy with that :)
