Beckster's "homestretch run" diary

I always made the joke that I didn't have a six pack..but I have a Keg... But I see the keg is being hammered into 6 distinct shapes...my mouth is dropping to the floor. I've been working on Crunches and reverse crunches and that seems to be helping... though I HATE that stomach cramp you get from doing a bunch... have a GREAT day beckster!

Ok having computer probs at home. Can't post as much as I'd like. Pulled a leg muscle, and it's affecting my ability to exercise. .

Well, I'm back!!! Just in time to get the stomach virus from a hot place, ugggh. Needless to say, I'm eating lots tonight because I've eating so little the last couple days.

Welcome back beckster...I hope you feel better soon.
My kids are getting sick 1 by one my daughter was complaining
lastnight and today now my baby has gotten sick a couple times
and very fussy.Have a great weekend,Tammy:)

Thanks to all for stopping by!! I am feeling better stomach wise, the pain in my hips is also improving. Haven't walked for a few days, now with the ice, I don't think it's safe. Better wait until it's slightly less icy outside.

Eeek! I would not be able to walk in iccy conditions, nope, I couldn't do it!

Glad you're feeling better!

Even when it's not icy outside, there is one spot on my daily walk that if I'm not paying attention I will slip and fall. It a rubberized area that some train tracks run through. It crosses the sidewalk and the road, and I have forgotten when it's wet or cold to slow down, and suddenly I'm looking up at the sky while in midair!

I really hope Spring comes early this year. I think its the one part of lifestyle change I really need to do. Until I get down to 375-350 I think walking is best for me. After that, I want to start hitting the gym at the local hospital and get a program and a trainer. Ice is nothing to fool around with. When it warms I'm sure you'll be back on the trails.

On the road again.....Walking is a challenge now, but I'm doing it. Hips are almost 100% now. Took a little vacation from my asthma meds, not a good idea, now back on them, and what a difference when I'm walking!! Weighed in for my weekly check, still below 50 lbs. Need to get more consistent with my exercise again, and lose some more.

I had one of those moments today that seemed surreal. I know I've lost weight, and I'm wearing smaller clothes. However, my daughter gave me a bag of her clothes....the size 8 dress pants (which I was so happy to get), were too big!! I was shocked. Granted, depending on the designer sizes vary. A year ago sizes like this were things I dreamed about. Now, I find I'm still mentally adjusting to the physical reality, and daily reminding myself to stay on track. Cuz...I could gain it all back if I'm not careful.
Before all this started, my waist was 41 inches, now it's 29.5.

Beckster - that is FANTASTIC!!!
What a great way to be able visualize the progress you have made!
