Hey girlie, Be careful out there in that weather. 17? Wow...that's pretty chilly. :p


Since I've been doing pushups and situps... I've been building muscle, getting stronger... and I wonder if that's going to cause my weightloss to slow down...I don't want it too... I want my weight to continue to plummit...

Muscle burns fat at a faster rate, and once you have it it burns fat all day long...when you're doing nothing at all. So don't fret about that. It may be a week or two that you'll look as if you haven't lost or appear to have gained b/c of muscle mass but IF this does happen it will even out. I have gained quite a bit of lean muscle and I love it! It makes maintaining my weight a lot easier. Dont' let the fear of slowing your weight loss be a deterrent, it really won't slow your loss, its just that muscle weighs more. It's far better for you and it will burn more fat off of your body and at a faster rate which will eventually show on the scale.

I ahve actually noticed that too. But lately exercise has been on the back burner. This weather is supposed to let up and next week I am GOING to the GYM!!
 
I"m glad i have some equipment (as ghetto as it may be :p ) in the house because if I didn't, the weather here would keep me from doing ANYTHING... I remember that when I had a working mountain bike... I went to go riding one morning and it was bitter cold out... I got about a half a block down the street... turned around, went home... got back in bed and slept.... I felt like such a cop out but... it was FRIGGID!!!!! Now I can work out in the comfort of my own home and be subjected to the same Justin Timberlake video and infomercials! :(
 
You don't HAVE to go to the gym to work out BGS! There's all sorts of stuff you can do at home. You can use detergent bottles, canned foods and/or water bottles to do weight training. Jump and jacks are great cardio...bunches of stuff. Don't let the weather stop you!

I'd love to say the weather is the problem, but I have just been lazy and I am more inclined to do something if I drive and pay for it!! I plan on doing the treadmill in just a little while, but we'll see if I actually do it!! Food has benn good thou:D gh!!

I can so relate there however, the last little while all I can do at home has been my priority, I *UGH* joined a Curves challenege so now I gotta get there 3 times a week or else I get kicked out, LOL...(I needed that motivation to go my three times
 
I just got out of Curves after doing it a year. I wanted to do more than what they had there, but I loved the support and it did help!!
 
Wow be gone, congrats on the move from Curves. I'm currently doing Curves and I know that eventually I'll have to move away from Curves and join a real gym...
 
Ok here in a minute or 20 ,LOL, I am going to put on a movie and do my exercise in front of it. I am going to kind of do a Curves thing , only at home and more intense so it burns more cals. So by telling you guys I have totally committed myself. I wouldn't want to lie after all!! So I am going to get this done today!!:eek:

OOOOhhhhhhhh it is cold here. We are snowed in. Guess we don't have any snow plows. My husband had to stay home from work today! Yae!!!! Well antway I'm up and starting my mporning. Hope I stay on track!!
 
Here's an idea! Get him to do it with you! See if he can keep up with your daily regiment! That should be fun! Send some snow our way!
