Well we all bring food! It's my absolute cheat day , by the way!!:eek: And we quilt, which means we sew the lines you see on quilts so that is on them. Then we take the starts of quilts and put our own block on so everyone has a turn. I really like it!!:)
 
aw.. Sounds fun!

I quilt some (ok try to) on my own & then my mom has a big machine (I can't remember the name, but its not the long arm she wants) so when I finish the top piece then I take it to her & we work on getting the back & binding on it.

I didn't know you were a quilter! Very cool!

Good thing too, sounds like you need more quilts than I do down here! I typically make them as baby gifts lately. With it being 84 in October, most quilts in my house just lay around looking pretty reminding me its supposed to get cold at some point!

In the 20s? Stressed? Aunt Flo? Geez, good thing you DO have something relaxing like a quilting bee to get by!! Glad you do, have a wonderful day!
 
AHHHH 20 degree weather, YUK! You must get some flannels, I have several of them and I just brought them out for the first time last night, funny thing, my hubby had the same idea and he wore his too. It was pretty damn funny!:jump: Today it's going to be in the 60's I think, but at least the sky is blue. I hope it's better for you today as well. And that quilting group sounds real nice and relaxing, I would like that too. MMMMM, cozy up to a nice fire, some hot cocoa and quilt. YEP sounds like a great day in my book. :)
 
It was a nice day!! Quilting was fun and it warmed up to the 60's. But the evening sucked. My husband's family is into hunting and they process their own meat, so my husband went over there to help. Fine I don't do that so I stayed home. I have messed up some joint in my elbow and moving it a lot is painful. But he comes back and I guess they aren't doing . So I thought great I will have a nice eveing after all and we can so some little something. That's when he announces he's going to play racketball with his sister. NO matter how I put this it will make me sound jealous and that's just not it. My husband & I are very close and used to doing everything together. But his family constantly tries to get just him. And I wasn't mad at first but as the evening worn on and I am by myself, I started getting pretty hot. When it was time to put the kids to bed , he tried to call and I didn't answer the phone. I went to bad when they and shut everything down. He had to stumbble around in the dark to get around. He comes back in the bedroom with an icecream from McDonald's for me. Here's the clicker, I DO NOT EAT ICECREAM!!! EVER!! Kills my teeth and I just loked at him. I mean my gosh we have been married almost 11 yrs and together 13. He knows this. So he puts it in the freezer and comes in on the computer. We didn't fight. We don't do that and I went to bad. I was mad, he knew and I knew he knew why. Thus the peace offering. Kind of like asking a non smoker if they want a ciggerett.:eek:

I'm sorry. Sounds like someone needs to use the head a little more. Hope things go better today. Might have to spell it out for him since guys seem to be thick headed sometimes.

I guess the good side is he didn't bring something calorie rich that actually did tempt you so you wouldn't eat it & ruin your calorie count for the day. :)

Hang in there. ...could always been worse.

I think that's my motto today!
 
Sorry about the hubby. Men are such dummies. I gave up putting sugar in hot tea when I was 8 because I wanted to be like my Dad. 20 years later my Dad still asks if I take sugar in my tea! We drink 5-6 cups of tea a day when I am at home so it's not like he has an excuse!! My boyfriend always brings me Pringles when we've had a disagreement - ummmm I'm on a diet and I WILL eat the entire can - not helpful!!! You gotta love them though :) - Men and Pringles ;)
 
Actually Mechelle, sounds like you have a fantastic relationship!! :rotflmao: I am SERIOUS!!! Shitty about the family, though--how insulting! I'd be very put out by that. Still, glad you had fun at the Bee :)
 
Good Morning!! sorry to hear about your scuffle with the H, I'm sure it will be water under the bridge today! Yeah, they always seem to give some form of peace offering don't they?? But, you know that's how they work, and I honestly don't think they do it, to piss us off, I just think that's a guys make up, to offer something when they want to make amends. Well, I'm happy to hear your quilting was fun!! and the weather is gorgeous here too. Hope your day today is a better one!! :)

He definetly did not bring something that tempted me. But heck I love him so much. And my sister just lost her husband and like the song says, it just seems so small now!!

We have an awesome relationship. He's my best friend and I didn't stay mad at him. I think I let A. Flo help me through that!!:rolleyes: But I took him to lunch today and all is well!!:cool:

Yesterday my food was bad. I had chinese food. Which was so good. But I met my husband for lunch and we had such a good time. I did some birthday shopping. Finished it up for this year too. Except my sister. i am making her a cross stitch and it is taking me forever. I am going to have to get that done before Dec 26. If not I will buy her something. I broke down yesterday and went to have my wedding ring resized. 5 1/2 is just too small now and so i went up a size. I felt sad about it, but oh well I guess. I also went to the gym here to check prices and I think next week I will join. It is a very nice gym. Well I am off goota clean the house today!!:rolleyes:
 
I'm happy to hear everything is worked out good with the H. :) And you lucky girl, getting birthday shopping done. ALRIGHT! I love cross stitch, I'm not any good at it myself, but I have a girlfriend that makes me stuff all the time, I JUST LOVE IT!! to me, something made it ten times more special, and I always display the work, it takes a long time! You should take some pics of your work and post it, so we can all be in AHHHHH. Hope your day is another good one!! It's really pretty here thank goodness!

Hello all! I had a fair weekend. Friday me the hubby and his sister went mountain hiking. I am not talking on a trail either. It was intense. And man did I get my workout. I hope to do again soon. I didn't really have to cook all weekend 'cause we ate at his mom & dad's. I won't get into that , but it didn't make happy and the food was for the most part gross. They have really been into cilanrto, which I don't happen to like and put it into everything!!:mad: So anyway, it still wnet pretty well. I have no complaints!!:eek:
 
you don't like cilantro? oh that's so wrong -please dont tell m e you don't like garlic either :)

sounds like a great weekend -glad you enjoyed and had some much deserved fun :)
