Ok here it is I am a 38yr old male 5'11 322 lbs
I am gonna start off slow due to a recent back injury.
Here are my plans and goals for now they will change as my health and healing changes but for now here it is.

Plans,
change eating routines,more fruit,,veggies,and lean cut meats.
Stop eating a few hours before bed.
drink plenty of water not a soda fan but i do like my iced tea.
Start walking every day gonna try for 2 miles to start I am gonna map out my route today.
Would like to build on cardio more but not gonna push the back will adjust with pain level.
Checking in here often for moral support and read other people stories.

The non scale goals are in no particular order except the first one.
feel free to comment or give me some pointers I have come to accept that I did not gain this weight over night so there for I will not loose it over night.
So my battle begins.

I'm a new member myself and I just wanted to wish you luck with your journey. You seem pretty motivated and you are doing this for all the right reasons. If you are fit and happy, you will be a good influence on all around you - including family. It's important to have support, so I just want to pass on mine.........:newbie:
 
Well I mapped out my route and I can not do 2 miles the pain in my back and legs are to much I was able to do 1.25 miles.The DR and my physical therapist said the walking will help recovery but don't push it.So I will do 1.25 on the morning and again in the evening to make it 2.5 miles to start.
I got a bunch of bottled water.Will the flavored water with no sodium be OK?there's no calories,no fat,no sodium it is just store brand flavored water.
 
Well i walked my 2.5miles today 1.25 in the am and 1.25 in the afternoon tried to do a few push ups managed to do 3 before my back was hurting badly gonna have to take it easy.I have therapy in the morning and will ask my p/t for some exercises that i can do that wont hurt the back or cause more damage.I am gonna stop and get a measuring tape to take some measurements to help keep up on my progress with loosing the extra inches or feet.lol
I will be doing weekly measurements and weigh ins on Fridays
 
Congratulations on your choice to become healthier! I am a new member as well and just started today! You have a great goal to be healthy not only for yourself but for your child as well! Good luck and keep us updated!!
 
Will be keeping this updated did my same walk today and a few more push ups also looked in to joining a gym gonna ask the dr tommorow to make sure what i can do without causing more damage and to get results from mri but i already feel better and have a great feeling about this did some shopping today for good food.lol no pasta,sweets,or chips instead i got some broccoli fruit and veggies to snack on.I am gonna take this battle one day at a time I know I can do it.
 
Well did my first weigh in down to 310.2 yahoo I am not expecting this every week to loose almost 10 pounds and i know most was probably water but it is still a good feeling.And I was able to do 5 push ups last night I know no big deal but it was 2 more then when i first started
 
Well therapist and dr said it ok to go to gym and start using the treadmill,elliptical and some upper back and chest exercises told me what to avoid and showed me some on there machines planet fitness here i come.
Did my walk today there was a slight rain all day made it miserable but figured if i didn't do it today it would of made it easier to not do it again no more excuses!
 
Had a rough weekend and fighting a cold didnt do my walk this morning i feel horrible will try this afternoon going to sign up at the gym tommorow felt to bad to go this weekend
 
had drs appointment today she was happy 15lbs i lost since last appointment and i am up to 10 pushups may not sound like much but when i started i struggled to do 2
 
I wish it was as easy to loose the weight as it was to gain it.Iknow i didnt get this big overnight and i know i wont loose it overnight
