I just recently added barbell calf raises to my leg routine. I'm talking about the kind where I've got a barbell across my shoulders like I would to do squats.
Anyhow, I'm noticing 2 things new...well one actually, the other occurred when I did seated calf raises:
1. I'm very aware to not lock my knees when I am doing the raises, but I am feeling the "burn" not only in my calves (which is more like a cramp), but I am also feeling the burn at the top of my hamstrings right where it meets my glutes. Any idea what the deal is here?
2. As I progress through the set of calf raises, I notice that my feet start to roll towards my little (outside) toe. Any clues here? I'm thinking muscular imbalance maybe?
TIA
