This is my first entry into my 'weight loss diary' although I'm keeping a food diary too.

I am overweight, but hopefully in the next month I won't be anymore. I currently weigh 177 lb and started two weeks ago at 182, but I would love to get down to 125 eventually. Ideally I'll hit my target around July time.

I used to be very skinny but have gained gradually through university. I have tried countless times to lose weight but I really believe that this is the time for me. I have regained control over what and how much I eat and am exercising every evening and am determined!

I love my boyfriend but living with him means lovely meals and nights in front of the TV. Now that I'm at uni for my last two terms, I'll be here alone until June so I feel like it's the best time for me.

I really want to be wearing my old suit when I interview for jobs in the summer.

In the last two weeks I have cut down my food intake. During the week I have high fibre cereal at lunchtime with a banana and a healthy salad or wrap/sandwich in the evening. I have banned myself from eating chocolate and am only eating sweet things on special occasions. At the weekend I eat a sensible meal.

I'm focusing on getting enough fibre to push out all the fat! I feel fine and encouraged by my inital weight loss of 5 lb.

I'm sure my journey will be tough but I can't see myself losing faith this time. I REALLY want to be under 135 generally and any less than that is a bonus.

At the moment I am trying to lose the first stone in the first 5 weeks before Valentine's Day so that (according to BMI) I am a 'normal' weight. I'm on target and hope to lose another pound this week and then 2-3 lb for another 3 weeks.
