bad situation -what would you do?

I just picked up a new job for the summer. The pay's good, and the hours are too good. Mon.- Fri. I have to wake up at 4:45am and I typically get home around 7-9pm. So that barely leaves time for a shower and dinner before I have to go to bed.

So that only leaves the weekend for working out. Is it ok if I work out both days in a row? Or should I only work out once despite not working out all week? Or should I do an upper/lower split, like upper on sat. and lower on sun.?

if you get home at around 7, i think you can get your workout in. even though you will have to go to sleep early to get enough rest, eat your pwo and ppwo meals. those are really long hours...do you HAVE to work that long!?thats ridiculous

and if all else fails, i would do upper on sat and lower on sun.

what i would do is: dont work as much and give yourself some time to do what YOU want. seriosly.

pack a bunch of healthy snacks and have healthy meals on the job. you cant make gains with a crappy diet.

well, get home around 7... eat dinner, clean up and make lunch for tomorrow: one hour... take shower brush teeth, etc.... half hour, go to bed at 8:30, take 15 mins to get to sleep = 8:45 and there's 8h sleep right there. I can't go much below 8h sleep, I need to be awake for my hour and a half drive to work in the morning. That and if I came home at 9 the day before, I'm going to need the 8h to catch back up a bit.

Well it's 3+h of driving to and from work a day, and I can't leave work untill everything is done and set for tomorrow. They really gave me two people's work of work to do, but at least I"ll be making lots of money!!!

But yeah, I might have to do a spit. I'm really going to have to push those workouts and really rip out al my muscles for a week of rebuilding and repairing, lol.

I think you basically gotta make a choice....stick with the job you got and just try to do any excercse or workout when your free and not to tired or you can get a new job with better hours that work for you but for less pay. Time to make a choice in your life

find a gym near your work and use that for the summer. 3 hour drive is a killer mentally and financially, best of luck since it is a temp job just get through it, I hope this is a resume builder type of job. Luckily I have a gym at work, just bring my clothes and right after work I exercise, great stress relief.

Oh, well I get a company truck and a fuel card, so paying for trans. isn't a problem. Yeah I'm a project manager for a few road projects in the city of Stamford, CT. (I'm down to the U.S. for the summer with some of my relatives). I'm taking building construction engineering in college, so even though this isn't the same field, it's definately a resume builder for me. That and the money's real good, especially for a student like me. ($15 and hour + tonnes of overtime pay for the extra hours!)

well good for you :D good luck with that.

but you might want to cut out some of the OT hours for yourself. i would.
its obviously all your descision though man!

good luck this summer; drive safe.
