back pain

i've started to get a pain in my right lat (or possibly sacro spinalis - ). I'm not really sure which.
I think it has come from doing deadlifts. It doesn't stop me lifting but I get the feeling I should stop with these lifts until it feels completely ok again, incase I do some long term damage or make it hurt more. It isn't a constant or sharp pain, more like the feeling of a pulled muscle that hurts when i stretch it.

Could it have been caused by poor form in the deadlifts? I'm pretty sure I keep my back straight or slightly arched, but maybe I wasn't squeezing my abs for core stability?

In a nutshell...should I stop for a while?
 
sorry, not good with injuries. But that injury report isent very good :p
How is the pain? Burning, stinging, etc? What makes it worse, what makes it better. Does bending over hurt? Does it feel like soreness?
 
It isn't burning or stinging, it feels kinda like the muscle has been over-used, like the way it would do if you spent the day digging with a spade. basically like a pulled muscle, which is probably what it is.

Bending over makes it a little bit painful, as does slouching in a chair. Apart from that I'm not feeling it.
 
well definitly rest until it gets better. If it doesnt, or gets worse, see someone qualified.

hmm when i first started deadlift i got like a little pain there nothin major it just felt like the muscle had a good workout. dont get it much no more though. my bodys used to it
