Back on Track

Hi guys. Thanks for stopping by.

Just walked, jogged a little. 33:05. I am sweating. Dang, it's 82 degrees outside. Welcome to Texas.

Was in a rush to get back, didn't have time to go to Memorial Park to jog. Was supposed to meet with my daughter's school AP to discuss her academic issues. Got back and found a message they were cancelling. Ugh....

Ok, you wanted to go in to some boring meeting at school on an 82 degree Friday afternoon???????

Well, my daughter struggles with learning, and I think she has a language processing problem, for which she can get help from a speech therapist. After months of bugging the school this year (plus the prior two years), I finally got their attention by writing a letter requesting that they test her. When it's in writing, they have to comply.

Meanwhile I had her tested outside the school. Now the school is finally ready to meet to discuss her.

It ticked me off that they called to cancel 30 minutes before the appointment, when my husband and I had already scheduled our day around it.

AND I didn't get in a run at my favorite spot, but I could have if I'd known the meeting was cancelled earlier.

So, yeah it's still UGH!!!!

Sorry to hear your day was screwed up by the last minute change :\ That is beyond annoying! Good for you for staying on top of them though to meet your daughter's needs!

Guess what! They had me scheduled for the wrong AP too, the one for my other daughter. Oh well. It's past, I'm over it.

Moving on. Got the job offer from my old company. They are paying me more than I expected, but did not give me my tenure back (I was there 8 yrs, at 3 wks vacation. At 10 yrs you get 4 wks). So I'm starting over on that. I didn't like leaving that on the table, but it's tricky negotiating with this company. I'm thinking of asking them later if I can have my tenure instead of my next raise. Start probably the week of Thanksgiving.

Ahh, I'll finally have money (it's been tight since I've been at home). I'll be back working, which I like to do by the way. I've been a stay-at-home mom for 7 1/2 years, which I love, but it's time to go back.

Am doing the seminar Return to the Heart. Last night 7-10:30pm, today 10a-10p. Tiring, but I think it'll be worth it. May leave town Sunday and Monday, so if I'm not back soon, well, you'll know it. Much forum love to all.
