Baby fat

I have posted this in another section so I'm sorry for those of you who have already read it. Just thought I'd try a different one.
My concern is losing the extra tire around my waist from when I was pregnant. I know it takes time to come off.... but my son is 17 months! I dont have time to go to the gym where I work 2 jobs(which are both desk jobs). We do walk every night 4 or 5 miles. The tire wont budge! I am getting married next year and would like to be able to wear a bathing suit on my honeymoon! Any advice?!

It really sucks trying to get rid of the baby weight, I'm working on it right now.

If you enjoy walking, then try adding in some running for short periods into your walks to up the intensity, and make sure you are walking quickly. I mean, breaking a sweat, not a leisurely stroll.

Also, instead of walking every night, make a couple of those nights strength training. It can be very basic, get some resistance bands and a few dumbells.

I agree in variation. Your body may be very use to walking for that distance or even walking period. So burning calories will be minimal. Take a good look at your nutrition....and in order to lose fat you will need adequate REST. If you can't get much rest on the busy week days....you better get some extra sleep to try to make up on the weekend.
