So I figured I would start a journal.

Gonna cut fat for another 6 weeks or so, see where I am and then probably bulk for the winter.

Lotta running, swimming with some conditioning drill. Will still be lifting but mostly dumbells and objects. Ill get heavy again in October.

Overall a pretty shitty day. Cals were too low, carbs were too high, protein too low. It was a work day so no work out. (I work 24 hour shifts)

Started the day with a run. Always a good thing.

2.2 miles

Since I ran pre-breakfast I just had a protein shake for breakfast. We were out of bananas so just a scoop of chocolate whey and a cup of 1% milk and .5 tbs of Hershey's Syrup. If you have never tried the chocolate syrup in a protein shake I would recommend it. If you just use .5 tbs, you just get 25 calories and it makes it taste more like a "real" chocolate shake. Covers up some of that weird aftertaste that whey can have.

For lunch it was leftovers. We had taco's the night before so I made myself a big honkin taco salad. Beef, lettuce, cheese, light sour cream. And a few tortilla chips.

Afternoon snack was 1 egg, 2 slices deli ham, .25oz cheese, and a lil tortilla

Dinner was chicken breast, brown rice w/fresh thyme, and a lil ear of corn on the cob. (I know, where the fuck is my green veggies?)

After I tracked all that I realized I was really low so I experimented with some whey and crystal light. It was a disaster. Vanilla whey and Fruit Punch sucks ass for anyone curious. I slammed it down anyway and then ate 1 oz of almonds.

I had an in the fridge so I had that for dessert. While my wife and I watched Top Chef and Work of Art.

Overall this day was not so great for only one reason.

NO GREENS! I mean seriously Virtus, wtf? Lettuce? Really? That barely is even a food little long a green!

WO- Had a swim but it was just a leisurely swim around my pool. Went for a run last night with my wife. She is doing the C25K and we did the last day of week 8. 5 minute walk the 2.56m in 28:00. We are gonna run a 5k Saturday.

Meh. Ok day for a work day. Didnt get a work out cause I was at work but I did walk to work which is kind of a goal I am working on. I live .5m from my station. So it seems silly to me to not walk to work.

Isnt it weird how people think you are weird for making completely logical choices?

I swear. It takes me 2 minutes more to walk to work than drive. I dunno why, it doesnt make sense but I have timed it and there it is. Everytime I tell someone how close I live to my station they always respond "wow! You could walk to work!"

Then why the fuck, when I decide to walk my happy ass to work does everyone think its so strange?

Because so many people like to be negative when you do something to improve your life. I recently wrote in one of the threads here about when people ask me how I have lost so much weight I tell them that I have changed to a healthy lifestyle and they still mostly find something negative about it. Things like don't do too much exercise you might get addicted, don't lose any more weight as it won't suit you, It's impossible to get thin after the menopause etc, etc.
You just have to learn to ignore people and carry on doing whatever is better for your health.

Pretty bad day I guess lol. I was just hungry and made bad choices. Took the kids for a Blizzard and had a mini. Didnt sweat that tho. Sometimes you just gotta take your kids for ice cream.

What really pisses me off is that we missed our run this morning. I heard the alarm and i thought my wife hit snooze but I guess she turned it off, woke up late so i didnt run OR walk to work.

Oh well. Its all good. I weighed 198 yesterday morning so I had a 2lb loss this week so I guess im still on track.

Had some cheese sticks from Sonic. They were freaking delicious lol. Came in from a call at like midnight and one of the other crews had gone and had like 3 left. Luckily I was way under on my calories so I scarfed em down.

Valuable lesson here. In the last 3 days I have had 2 Stouts, a Blizzard and then Cheese Sticks.

Why do people have to act so persecuted when they are dieting?

Typical 80/20 rule in effect. If you are diligent the rest of the time, you can almost always have a treat, and not 2 Snackwell Cookies either. I mean a sure nuff diabetic coma shock inducing Blizzard or a artery clogging order of cheese sticks.

Also, I have my fingers crossed. I friend of mine told me that our local gym is re-opening! I'm psyched and hope this is true. He said he saw them in the building the other day and another guy told him that they were opening up soon.
