Arte's Food woes, keeping a food diary ain't easy!
A little introduction first:
I'm Leonie, 26 years old from the Netherlands and trying to lose weight.
Currently don't know my weight, I have no scale and don't want to buy one because when I was a teenager (when I was somewhat slim, at a UK size 8/10).
I was rather obsessed with my weight and weighed myself several times a day, resulting in desperation, depression and an eating disorder.
I'm only 5'1, not very tall.....
I don't think I have any before or after pics, because I've been so ashamed of my weight for a long time I never wanted my picture taken.
Currently only own a crappy webcam cause my digital camera broke *woe* and need to buy an new one but have no monies
I used to be much bigger, but I ballooned in late 2007 and early 2008, when my mother was diagnosed with cancer and she died in February 2008.
I became really heavy in that time (I was already overweight before), and at my heaviest I was a size UK 22.
Managed to slim down to a size UK 14/12 in less than a year by eating less bad caloric food and started eating healthy, and later began exercising in October '09.
At first I didn't even manage to complete an 8 minute warm-up I can now do with my eyes closed, that's how out of shape I was
Now I manage to do the whole dvd, 5x a week with extra added lunges, squats and crunches (on a togy dyn-air cushion aka OUCH!).
Currently I'm very motivated to exercise and eat healthy, especially with all the compliments I've been getting lately and sometimes even fitting in a size L.
Haven't been able to fit in a size L for like nearly 10 years so this is a really big deal for me.
There were days where I cried cause I couldn't fit in an xxl or larger size....
I fear I do eat too little at the moment, I have very little appetite due to anti-anxiety medication (recently prescribed) which also helped the weightloss I guess?
I eat 2 "beauty" cracottes (type of cracker with only 19 calories each) in the morning, 2 of these crackers for lunch, usually with peanut butter, or sometime I switch one of the meals for muesli/oatmeal porridge/special K, 2 protein shakes with skimmed milk and an healthy dinner full of veggies.
I drink fresh squeezed orange juice everyday, but really should try to drink more water but I forget to drink in general.
I snack very little, and when I snack I try to snack sensible iyswim.
I've decided that I want to see a nutritionist to sort this problem,it's covered by my insurance so why not, right?
Today:
Breakfast: protein shake with skimmed milk (15 mins before breakfast), 2 beauty crackers with a little peanut butter and a large glass of water.
Lunch: 2 beauty crackers with a little peanut butter and a cup of green tea (no milk, sugar, sweetener, etc).
Dinner: protein shake with skimmed milk (15 mins before dinner), whole grain pasta, with pomodori, mushroom, courgette, paprika, celery and chicken and a glass of water.
No exercise today, it's my "rest" day, and I hurt my bad ankle again, must go and finally get that x-ray done this week.
Highlight of the day:
Got my new pajama's by David & Goliath.
So cute, I need more of their pajama's!
I went with an XL, which fits but is somewhat generous on me, but that's okay cause I like my pajama's comfortable.
Sorry to make you read through my waffling
