Hi. It is little awkward to write a weight loss diary. But I feel I need to write about my attempt at weight loss. I am male, almost 44 and weigh 194 lbs at height 5 feet 7.

I will be having light vegetarian diet (I have been trying to become a vegetarian; I am not completely a vegetarian yet since I still have non veg food occasionally) and doing bodyweight exercises.

Age 43, Height (Inches) 67, Current Weight (Pounds) 194, Current BMI 30.4, Target Weight (Pounds) 162, Target BMI 25.4

Current measurements (Inches) - Neck 16, Chest 40 - 42, Waist 42, Hips 40, Upper Arm L 13, Forearm L 11, Thigh L 22, Calves L 16.5

I will be starting with very small amount of exercise

Push Ups - 6 x 3 (that is always repetitions x sets)
Sit Ups - 8 x 2
Reverse Crunch - 5 x 2
Lying Back Extensions - 8 x 2
Squats - 10 x 2
Calf Raise - 25 x 1

I will try to do few minutes of rope jumping

Did my first workout yesterday (June 9th). Feeling sore all over. It hurts :-(

I have decided to spend a week to settle into my new diet and exercise schedule. The soreness will take couple of days to fully subside. Maybe only 3 workouts this week but concentrate on making the diet as nutritious and low calorie as possible.
 
Welcome Ari! Becoming a vegetarian helped me lose weight. I'm now vegan 99% of the time.

My advice is to ease into exercise. At first just making the habit of exercise is important. It doesn't matter if you do very little at first. You make the habit and increase the amount of exercise over time.

You have a great plan! I look forward to seeing your success.
 
If there is a God of weight loss he is working against me. First I caught a flu and then I was busy and up to my neck in work (because of having flu and being able to work). Upshot is I could do no workouts. Shameful. I take full responsibility for my failure.

I have to arrange my life more efficient from this week. Better time management, meal management etc.

I promise to do at least 4 workouts this week (June 23 - 29). See you on the other side.
