Are my triceps too weak?

I just started weight training last week. Aside from my other workouts I have a work out that I do twice a week that's supposed to help with a V-taper. Well, I do all these back excersises with as much weight as I can lift and repeat my full reps. The problem is that it's burning up my triceps and I'm feeling pretty much nothing in my back. I had a friend thats a long time lifter watch me and confirmed that my form is correct. Is it just that my back is alot stronger? This is an odd one for me to understand.

thanks for any advice,
shane

Well, you surely must do strange back exercises, mostly they only involve the biceps what your arms concerns, and not your triceps. It is however possible that your triceps would fail first when doing for instance bench pressing...
Either you mean biceps instead of triceps, or you have a strange way of working out your back ;)

But, it is indeed possible that a 'secondary' muscle group is too weak to support the primary muscle group... it'll go away after a few weeks / months of training mostly...

I have more or less the same thing with my forearms... I often have to quit an exercise for e.g. back, biceps or shoulders because I can't hold my grip anymore...

Hmm, I'm not that advanced in training, but the machines I work on plainly show in picture and written form that primary group is back and secondary is triceps, three of the four machines...even if it didnt list the secondary muscle group it still plainly shows what group is being worked primarily and after doing my reps my triceps are on fire so apparantly thats the secondary group.

for instance, I did that workout yesterday. today i feel nothing in my back, biceps, chest but my triceps are extremely sore. hence my question about them being weak.

i dont have the strength or form yet to work with free weights, i get hurt too easily so i'm only working on machines at the moment.

to clear any confusion, i know all the muscle groups...
