Are Dumbbell-Flyes harmful to you?

I concur with the Cable Fly's. Personally, I have tried Dumbbell Fly's, only to learn (early on) that my shoulder's didn't like the angle of the movement, even if I didn't break the lower plane (and this is the flat or incline version). Give the Cable Fly's a shot, and let us know how it goes.

I have always liked flyes. I think they are a good way to isolate the pecs that can not be done with any other movement and I can use alot more weight than I can with cables. I have done flyes for years, with more weight than most and never was injured by them. Quite contrary, I used flyes to recover from sholder injuries I got doing bench presses, and I think I might have avoided some shoulder injuries if I had done flyes more often.
