I'm glad your life is a bit busy right now - it helps keep your mind from more depressing thoughts.... which you'll eventually have to deal with after the holidays, I know. But in the meantime, I hope the season and the busyness will help keep your chin up until the right time comes along to create a different situation for you and your family.

April, sorry to hear about all your turmoil. I'mg lad to know things have settled down. But I do hope that your daughter finds the right treatment to help with the issues she has. I have some troubled siblings so I know its really difficult to sturggle with this behavior and have to turn elsewhere to let someone deal with your child. But in the logn run it salways as you know the best for all involved. Good luck..and I hope you guys are able to have an enjoyable holiday season!
 
Thanks for all your supportive words! Actually she spent 2 months in juvenile detention before being placed in a children's home. Now we are searching for a place that is more structured. She has to be placed under 24 hour supervision. Right now she's staying at a friends house. Not a really excellent environment, but temporarily better for everyone involved! I just hope that in the future she can see that I only want the best for her! Ok, my eating has been absolutely atrocious! John's been home all day since Saturday! I did get a little shopping done today, but he went with me and he gets bored and cranky faster than a 2 yr old. So,, I will finish tomorrow without him!
 
Hey hun! Just stopping by to check on you since I didn't get to earlier! I'm bored over here! My daughter is gone for the night!! This is the first time in about 5 or 6 years that I have been without her for a night! I dont know how to act!! Anyway I hope you had a good day today!

Good morning to all!!! Sorry I didn't check in yesteday. I spent the day trying to get John's christmas present without him seeing! I had to sneak it into a closet while he was in the bathroom and then had to wrap it in there so he wouldn't go snooping! I think he's expecting too much though. I got him a new rack for his fishing rods. The box is the same size and about the same weight as the trolling motor he wants. Duh, he hasn't gotten a boat yet!!!!! Well, I'm really happy today. I lost 7.5 pounds in the challenge. I didn't get to the 10 I was hoping for but that's okay. Now, I'm going to spend today wrapping presents and doing laundry! Daughter is gone until Saturday and John had a short run today but he'll be back within a few hours so I don't have much time. I'll check in on y'all later!!

Hey sweetie! Just wanting to say hello! Enjoy your time alone with out him!! Mine will be home later today and will be in for almost 2 weeks on vacation.. So before he leaves I might come back and have no hair.. where i have pulled it all out!! :D

WOW 7.5lbs is heaps!You are doing really well!Must of been fun trying to wrap johns present in the wardrobe!I am going to look for a rolf record in a music store today,I will probly have to order it in so I dont know how long it will take to come in.Or how long til it gets to you in texas but it will get there eventually!

The 7 white 'boomers' are kangaroos!My dad knows the song and said its a great song!How does your mum know about rolf harris songs in texas anyway!Didnt think he was that popular to get over there!!!
I remember him as a kid with his 'wobble board' and painting murals.He would be given a topic to paint and he would paint it there and then,he was a talented artist too!He was originally born in england and came to OZ as a kid.
We think of him as an aussie anyway!:)

Magenta, you are fantastic! I recognize alot of those and I"m really looking forward to learning about the others! I'm not sure how my mom first discovered him. She's had records all my life. Don't know where she go them. During moves and just time, the 2 records she had got broken. She was really heartbroken. There's 2 songs I remember on one that I really liked.. In the Wet and Me Winkles Have Been Pinched(maybe not the name) I also LOVE the way he does I've Been Everywhere! The record that I remember listening too constantly had a picture of his face on an orange background. Thank you so much. It really means alot to me that you took the time to do this for me, especially now when I know you're really busy. I feel like I have a sister on the other side of the world!!!

I had a good day besides my daughter being sick!She woke up this morning with a bad cough and a temp.Been giving her panadol every 4hrs,so she doesnt come down with a temp again.
Had the whole family round today for tea,went to my dads for lunch.My brother and family were there.
Been a full on day,time to go to bed!Loads of cleaning to do tomorow,oh well,see ya April!MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!
