Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!! I had a great day. My niece cooked her first T-Day dinner and it was fantastic. I've got to stop bringing home leftovers though!! Somehow I ended up with an entire pie! I had one slice and then gave the rest to my neighbor! I ate too much but stuck mostly with things that weren't too bad. Turkey, green beans, small serving of sweet potatoes. Except for the pie I did good at staying away from the desserts. Hope everyone enjoyed their day. I was thinking of you all.

Julie, you are just too sweet. I've had people tell me I sound like an old John Wayne movie!!! Actually when I lived in North Texas I was much worse. When I moved here some people really couldn't understand me at all. Well, bad news. I guess I didn't do as well as I thought on T-Day. Looks like I gained 2 or 3 pounds!!! Oh my God, what's Christmas gonna be like? I have a true weakness for eggnog!
 
I know what you mean honey I have a carton in the fridge and it keeps staring back at me when I open the fridge I swear its saying drink me....drink me now. But at 170 calories for a half a cup I need to pass. Well Darlin had to come say hi things are going a bit better here figure you would want to know that. I know you worry about me as I do you. Hope things are good with you. You know you are always in my thoughts.
 
mmmmm ice cream

I like ice-cream too, especially ice-cream sandwiches. To lower the calories I take two chocolate graham crackers and put low fat whipped cream between them and freeze it. It feels like I'm eating an ice-cream sandwich and tastes pretty good too! Hope you're feeling better today :)
 
Hey April! Just stopping in to say hello!! Ok.. Your all gonna think I'm crazy but I've never had eggnog... What does it taste like??
 
I can't think of a better discription!! If you've never had it I wouldn't suggest buying a big carton. People usually either love it or hate it! They sell little pint size bottles. They do make a "light". It's okay, but it's just not the same!
 
Hm... how do you describe eggnog? Its pretty creamy, and also very sweet. Some people like to "thin it out" a little by adding some skim milk or even rum to it (both have their benefits! ;) ) Trust me, you don't taste egg in it, its mostly vanilla, nutmeg and a few other spices. I'll agree with April though, its something you either love or hate.

Daughter is 20 now. That picture is actually a couple of years old though. I finally got her to give it to me! She had it done at one of those places in the mall. Had plenty of copies for her friends but couldn't manage one for her poor old mamma!
