Sorry to hear that your weekend wasn't good. Foodwise don't be so hard on yourself. So you had a bad day, once in a while is alright. And you were under your maintainence calories.

You are soooooo gonna swim in those pants soon. Yayay for the 3.6 inches lost and 2lbs gone. You can so do this.

I would LOOOOOOOVE to be where you are re: the love for run. I just absolutely hate it. I told myself that I would start c25k (after reading your encouraging note on my dairy, actually), and didn't do it. It was raining, but I have a really good raincoat and I could have so totally run, but I chickened out. The thing is I have done c25k before and fallen off the wagon. Would love to hear about your experience doing the program.

I know what you mean about the fat pants... :iagree:I'm wearing some now.... I can't wait til I can fit into the 'fat pants' in my wardrobe that are a size smaller then the ones I'm wearing now.

When I bought them I felt so glum! But now I'm looking sorward to wearing them again! It's so mad!

I am wearing the "fat pants" right now too lol. Wow its so cool to hear about other people having fat pants and knowing im not the only one. I too have a second pair, maybe two, in my wardrobe about a size or two down i cant wait to fit into.

Antyoch, your doing great! Dont knock yourself down for a bad day here and there. Sometime our bodies just need it and then we move on and continue. I still have way too many bad days or bad meals here and there that i cant afford to knock myself down everytime or id be completely miserable. Thanks so much for stopping by my diary :D Your post was really uplifting and motivational and it made my day so thank you.
 
I had a good day today!

b - 1/2 c allbran with 1c skim milk
s - 1/2 c cottage cheese!
l - sloppy joe, homemade w/ peppers, tomatoes, onions and 1 slice of whole grain bread
s - none (I find if I eat a bunch for lunch and have a snack at 230, I feel kind of gross when I workout at 430 ish)
d - 1/2c pasta salad with peppers/cucumbers/tomatoes/onion. 1 chicken breast and a protein shake made from bananas/yogurt/skim milk/applesauce and protein powder
s - probably some grapes and water!

I HATE that protein powder. it tastes so disgusting. I do everything I can to disguise the taste since I put the money into buying it! I feel great, did week 2 of c25k. I'm running at 5mph and walking at 3.7 so I'm improving my speed. I might try the third week on wednesday!

I have tomorrow off from the gym. going to the mall with a friend and to see the ugly truth since it's cheap night at the movies :D


Thanks to everyone for your encouragement and help. You guys keep me going everyday and give me constant inspiration and uplift me! I couldn't of asked for a better group for support!! **hugs** :hurray:
 
i've been a bum of a poster lately becasue i've been so busy, but i have decided to make soem changes now lol. Just wanted to stop in and say hi, and commend you on an excellent job so far. you seem to have the right attitude and you are truly enjoying yourself. keep up bthe good workk and i'll be around to check up on you. I'll say that it'll be a good while before you visually notice a difference. it took me untill about 4 weeks ago to notice lol. but keep it up your doing great and are ooozing with positive energy!

Hmmm I was going to buy protein powder a couple of weeks back but then i had to fill up on gas. So now im saving up for a food scale and the protein powder-but reading your comment is making me think twice....what does it taste like?
 
Protein power is that bad tasting? Ppl seem to be into it, and for a long time i didnt understand why. I am trying to up my intake of protein and it is quite hard. I am not much of a meat eater (at least i dont cook meat myself- never liked beef and like my ocassional bacon), but I like chicken and fish. So whenever I go out I make it a point to order chicken or fish. So I came to this forum and everyone was taking protein powder as a shake. But they make it sound so yummy. How bout you put some fruits you like? Fruits with stronger smell and taste- mangoes, strawberries?

And yay for good days. You feel terribly good that day, but the next day you feel even better. Aaaah the feeling to have achieved something. :cheers2:

You are so on the right track. And I am totally looking forward to you telling us that you swim in those pants and you are dropping sizes!!
 
I drink a choc protein shake powder thingy. I mix it icy cold milk, and you have to make sure you let it sit for a couple of minutes otherwise it doesn't disolve and tastes pretty bad.

As long as the milk is cold, then I don't find the taste too bad.

Like you Antyoch I try not to eat for a few hours before exercising so I usually have the shake straight after, then I find that I don't overeat on my next meal.

The Ugly truth was HILARIOUS! I loved it! Great movie and I'd definitely see it again!

AND the best part of my night. I fit into mall clothes that aren't at a plus size store. Size XL shorts. Which is a big big big deal for me! I think I still have a bit to go before I fit into any jeans at the mall. But I'll take what I can get!

I had KFC for dinner, chicken fingers and fries w/ some sprite. I'm not worried about it. I know I shouldn't have but I'm still under my calories for the day. Not the end of the world, back to eating healthy tomorrow :)

Wow... getting out of the plus size stores is AWESOME... It's a great milestone.

Don't go crazy shopping though cause the clothes you buy might not fit for long!

Anna.Banana is right tho, dont do too much shopping, instead save your money for when you reach your goal then you can go on one hell of a shopping trip and treat your new bod to what it deserves :)

I haven't seen the proposal, but I always heard it was great :D I'll probably just rent that one! You could make the ugly truth a reward :D

This week's been good. I haven't done my measurments yet but I'm down another few pounds and I've started noticing the rolls going away on my back!

I started week 3 of c25k.. I was so scared of starting it!! It seems like a huge jump to go from running 1.5 mins to running 3!! But I did it :D I decided we can't be scared of failing, we just have to do it, and if we do fail then we keep going until we do do it!

I was kind of sad this morning, I made a strawberry/banana/apple smoothee with yoghurt and skim milk and I saved half for this morning, well my mom had apparently ate it last night after work. Sigh :( Its not the end of my world, so I had all-bran and skim milk for breakfast.

I made really good pasta last night for dinner, just penne noodles and I cut up some lean turkey sausage into chunks and some tomatoes and peppers, put pasta sauce on with a little feta cheese on top. with some cooked green beans on the side (weird mix, but the beans were gunna go bad if they were'nt eaten soon :p) It was delicious!

[edit] down another 3.75 inches :D I'm losing a lot from my back I think and stomach. I wish my theighs would lose some!! Gah :p

Oooh watching the proposal or the ugly truth as a reward sounds very appealing! Funny how before I could only think of food as a reward but now I have so many non-food rewards that I don’t know which one to start with!!

Girl I can TOTALLY appreciate your second thoughts about starting week 3 of c25k. day 1 week 1 was hard work-can only imagine what week 3 is like- but way to go for giving yourself a pep talk and DOING IT!!!!! :party:

Congrats on the inches lost!!! Weight off your back feels the best when you can put a shirt on and not feel too constricted in it eh?! I'm so excited for you-your hard work is paying off!

Today's been good!

worked out, did week 3 of c25k, and then worked my upper body. I can only bench press 30 pounds :( and only 5 times!! so I did 4 sets of 5 and I'll aim for 4 sets of 6 next time. Its a bit depressing. I remember in grade 9 when I was 14/15 I could bench 70 pounds 10 times. I was kind of sad. BUT! I can get there, and everyone has to start somewhere. So I wont let it bother me much!

I'm kind of worried I'm not eating enough in a day. I haven't been doing the daily plate lately. but I've done it today, I feel STUFFED and I've only apparently eatend about 600 calories, with my target calories at 2400... Add 100 incase I miscalculated something and I'm still only at 700... I'll wait until later to see but I feel like I'm eating too much when I eat 2400 Calories! I think normally we panick because we think we're eating too much, and I'm panicking because I think I'm not eating enough :\ sigh :p

Anyway! I'll update my foods later!

[edit] So! After dinner, I end up with about 2000 calories for the day. That's with 1.5 servings of pasta, and I went back down and had a tomato sandwich around the afternoon for snack with an egg which I normally wouldn't have. So today's good, on to tomorrow!! annnd, my mom said that she noticed a lot of weight gone from my butt :p My dad seems fixated on my neck, and how much i've lost from there... at least my mom's seeing the stuff that means the most :p my neck was never really fat, at least I didn't think so. I've lost about 2 inches from it though :p anyway! I'm happy :D

My boyfriend has my before pictures on his computer and since he's gone to the UK for the next bunch of months and he currently has no internet, I can't see the difference yet!! Grr!!! boys are frustrating :p

lol i bet it is frustrating not being able to see your before pics but keep working hard and it will be all the more pleasurable when you finally do see what a difference your new lifestyle has resulted in!

And dont stress about it, ill bet you'll be benching 70 lbs again before you know it! You've got the right attitude girl so you WILL DO IT!

I'm feeling frustrated this morning. My scale keeps going up! I was at 209, and yesterday was 212 and today is 214! I keep thinking all the reasons it could be going up. What's even more frustrating is I've been eating good! The only thing I can think is hopefully its just salt/water. I know I shouldn't worry but its frustrating. And I just feel fat today. Maybe I'm close to my TOM... I dont really track it, although I know I should. Oh well.. On to today, I start a new job today, not a great day to feel fat.

Hope everyone else is doing better!!

The scale is causing me some issues too...ive lost the inches but the scale has barely moved since i started this whole thing and its very frustrating. Keep up your motivation though and things will happen.
