Anna's Diary

Yep I've done what I said I'd do (sort of)

Yesterday I did 45min on the cardio machines at the gym (avg about 145bpm) and then went to yoga. my neck and butt are both much better.

Today I took the dog for a decent walk (about 40min) and then..... I RODE my bike (my real bike that lives in the shed and doesn't see the sun very often haha), I rode it to work which is 11km and I guess I'll have to ride home again... I was avg about 155 bpm all the way, and it was fun.

I've been brutally honest writing my food down, and even though some of the choices haven't been great (candy pig out yesterday), they fit into my calorie count ok, so thats good. I'm acutally looking forward to getting on the scales on Friday.

Thanks for the support everyone, and thanks for all your diaries which i've been reading for motivation.

catch ya later

Ana

ta trusylver,

I had another good one today. I went to yoga, walked the dog and rode my bike home from work (had to get dropped off at work with it because I was running out of time). I;m sore.... good muscle sore but ouch. My ribs are aching and my quads started cramping twice (from the bike riding i'm sure)

Calories within my limit today.

My cals were pretty light over the day and then quite a few at the end of the day. I think its jus tthe daily total that is important? Hope that whole don't eat after 7pm is a myth?

weigh in in the morning

Yoga

That yoga routine would work really well with stretching those muscles. The more you stretch them healthily, the easier it is to lose that weight. The variety in your exercise routines is also brilliant. It stops the monotony. I find it slightly similar to the Chris Guerrero program I'm trying right now. Hope to post my own diary really soon, as soon as i officially start it. Hope to hear from you there as well. :waving:

Hey Ana, you are doing great this week! Awesome work getting the bike out! It's time here to put mine away and get my skis out - it's so depressing but I like skiing too.
Can't wait to check back tomorrow to see how you did with the weigh-in! Good luck and keep it up!

Hey all,

I Spent the weekend at our cottage near the mountains. We had a lovely time relaxing and painting. (we decided to have an art weekend). We also had a few visitors so that was fun.

I ate okish, not too much extra, probably a few to many refined goods though.

I only did the barest minimum of exercise. walking the dog and a little gardening, saw the inside of my eyelids alot. It was lovely.

I'm ready to go hard for the rest of the week now.

I'm just going to do my exercise plan, and then I'll get back online and check out what the rest of you have been up to.

:driving:

Your weekend sounds like so much fun! And now your all refreshed and ready to really push it this week! Good work Ana, keep it up! Looking forward to seeing how you do and the result on Friday. check you later.

Hi Ana,

Sounds like such a relaxing weekend. I hope to take one of those off w my hunnie in the next month.

Looks like you are doing well. How's the running going. I am finding Wk5 much easier. Nervous about the 20 min run on Thursday though. Let me know how you are doing.

Have a good rest-of-the-week!!

Hi Ana,

Thanks for the cheeerful message you left.

OMG, you must be getting more and more excited about that vacation. I would be if I were u. I just took some time off from work and I am already looking forward to another vacation. Going away was great, until I got back in the city and into the office where piles of work was waiting for me. Now Im buried under them.

Friday is SOOOOOOOOOOO close! Hope you have a wonderful weekend planned.

Hey everyone.

I've been struggling a bit for a few days. Felt like I'm slippping back into old habits ie not exercising, eating a bit extra, and I've been feeling so tired.

Today I thought I'd just focus on getting some activity into my day. So I did a huge amount of gardening and house painting. Tommorrow I'll start tracking my food again properly. (I've been offline and not doing it).

So here goes again.

This is forever not just for this year. I will achieve a good balance of activity and work and rest. I will eat good healthy nourishing food to feed my energy.

Hi Ana! I hear you. I've been struggling with inactivity myself off and on.
It's great that you are self aware though and are incorporate activity into your routine again!

It's a new day and a great time to start fresh! I hope to be stopping be more frequently...i need motivation to run again and everyone here is my motivation. i really miss being here and chatting it up with u guys..
We need to get back into this!!

Well. I've had a few days off from here.

Weighed in this morning for the NOV challenge and was same as last week, I'm pretty happy with that because I've been a layabed slug not tracking and not exercising.

I finally went for a proper walk yesterday, and it was really nice. I'm planning my week out so that I'll feel good about it by friday. I've tracked my food properly for the first time in ages yesterday, and I'm doing it again today , so hopefully the scales will reflect it next monday. I know that trackng cals is the key for me, as soon as I stop I just let little bits of extra food slip unnoticed into my day. (bad food!)

I'm glad to see so many others doing well, I need to read around the diaries and get some inspiration.

later ana

I always read your diary so I thought I'd pop in and day hey :)
I know what you mean about the calories, I do so much better when I track them but try not to obsess about them too much.
Good Luck and I'll pop in again soon!

Hey Ana! Im like that too! the moment i stop tracking i find i just start eating randomly-its hard to believe small snacks like that can add up to a lot of calories WHILW u are snacking.after the fact im always thinking...i really didnt need to put that in my mouth. i read a quote somewhere on here that said something along the lines of every little bit does counts. hmmm lol i just butchered the quote. it sounded much better than that. I'll have to find it.

Anyway great to see that you're getting back into it Anna! I'll be back soon to say hello :) It feels good to be back on here!!

Hi Ana,
I have been feeling the same and need to pick it up in order to be down a few more pounds before Christmas. I know at Christmas I'm going to gain 5 pounds so I need to lose that and some before then. I totally agree about not tracking - I had so many snacks this weekend and didn't keep track at all. I have to up the water also because I need to wash out all those bad food cravings I have been having. Let's make it a great week and report back our successes! See you soon. :waving:

Hi Ana,
Thank you for visiting my diary. I seems we are very similar in body and goals.
I also have found lack of tracking is bad for me. It's so easy to forget what you've had esp if you're on plans like WW.

Good luck for this week. I will pop in to encourage you again.

Hey everyone

I'm back into it. I've been tracking again, and hopefully it'll show on the scales.

I think things went a bit bad for me over the last 2 weeks because my TOM was late and I was really hoping... but got it last Tuesday (bummer!)... so I'm back into the full on exercise this week. I've been doing easy relaxed exercise for a couple of weeks, but no excuses now!

We're getting ready to sell our house and have been working really hard on it. I've been painting the fence and digging weeds non-stop. looking forward to going to the gym for a change of scenery.

Anyway I'm enjoying catcing up on everyone's diaries.

see you all around

Ana

Hey all,

yesterday I did really well. Ate 1800cals (about that... i over estimated a couple of things because they were'nt in the database), and I painted the fence for 90 min as well as walking the dog.

Today I've been for a 40 min walk and now I'm at work. I find it easy to eat well at work because I bring the food with me.... no choc/candy/takeaways etc!

I was hoping to go for a run tonight but I might have to settle for a bit of at home exercise. The gyms here close early on the weekends (5pm) so i almost never go on the weekend...dumb gym... I guess its good to be flexible and exercise wherever you can find it.

Looking forward to weighing in in the morning. Hopefully i've maintained again... a little loss would be nice too :)

see ya later

So what did the scale reveal? You sound like you are doing good and maintaining is just as good in my books. I hate painting with a passion but it is a good work out for those arms! Glad you are back tracking - I need to do better with that on weekends.
Were you hoping not to see TOM because your trying? I'll start crossing my fingers and toes for you! I'm doing the same for my sister right now, although not really because if she gets prego right now she'll be a whale at my wedding or have it right before and not make it so I'm not going to start crossing my fingers for her for a couple months :)
