Hello Everyone:

My name is Anita. I am a single mother of 6, (yes 6) and loving every minute of it. My life journey has been a tough one but getting better. I am at a point where I feel like my weight is holding me back. Since 1997 I have gone from 125 to 201. My weight has been up and down. Once I stepped on the scale a couple of months ago and it said 201 I knew I had to change for myself. This is not me, this is not part of who I am so I am changing it.

I want to lose 60-75lbs. Currently at my job we have a weight-loss contest going on where who ever loses the most wins the jackpot. The jackpot is $800. There are 2 groups. I am in group 1 which started Dec 12, 2005. My final weigh-in is on April 17th. The entire contest ends on May 9th which is group 2's final weigh day. I am pushing myself to lose up to 40lbs by May 9th.

In December I came accross the FL4I diet and thought it was a joke because I had to $$ for it. Well I did and have never had this much success on any diet I have tried. I never feel hungry and the pounds and inches are coming off. As far as support goes, I have my children of course to keep me on track. I think they just want a cut of my money;) My mother and sister are very supportive of me as well. My sister and I joined a Women's Only gym and that has brought me a lot of success as well.

I am glad I ran accross this website. I look forward to getting to know everyone here and sharing our success with one another.

Welcome Anita! It looks like you are on an excellent start to losing weight. YOu def. have taken so many steps to getting there. I really hope we can be of some additional support to the great system you already have in place (your family & co-workers) I think its great you have a little pot going on at work for the weight-loss competition. That can be really motivating!! So glad to have you join our forum! :) Keep up the great work you'll see the rest of that weight go in no time! ;)
 
Yesterday was day 11 for me on my diet. I weighed this morning and I am now down to 179:D I am so happy I lost 6lbs this session. It will be an interesting 3 days off.

My exercise yesterday was:
BL - 20 mins High Cardio/20 mins Scult/20 mins Boot Camp
3 Mile Walk
Total Steps 11,565
Water - 80oz
Attitude - I felt a little tired prior to exercising but MADE myself get up and exercise. I'm glad I did. I felt much better about myself afterwards.

I plan on going to the gym tonight, I have to keep telling myself that all day. When I have my 3 days off I tend to not want to exercise.

Hi there, wow 6 kids man you must have your hands full. I only have 2 so 6 just blows my mind away lol. Its really great that they support you in this it will help to have a good suport system around and this place is great for that as well. I have never heard of that diet before how does it work exactly. Sounds like you are doing really well though 6pounds is awsome. Keep it up and that $800 will be yours in no time.
 
Hi Anita! Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on the weight you have lost already! Thats awesome!

You must be one busy woman with six kids. I only have three, and I feel busy! lol. That is great that you have family support. I think it is so important to have people encouraging you along. When I first started this around Christmas, my husband wasn't all that supportive. But now that I have stuck with it for while, he is getting more and more supportive. I find it really helps me.

This forum has been a great place for me to find support and encouragement! I know you will find the same. Keep up the great work -- get that jackpot!! :)

Well my 3 days are over. I was not so good over the weekend :( But that's okay. The diet tells you to be off for 3 days but follow the rules. Today starts another session for me. I will not be cheating, or not exercising. I have another weigh-in at my job on Monday the 6th.

I did not exercise much this weekend. I went to the gym on Saturday only. Friday night I was in bed by 8:30p which is way out of the norm for me. I wasn't feeling good.

Zoila - I have my crazy moments when it comes to the kids but for the most part they are a awesome, well behaved bunch. If you want me to share my diet with you PM me.

Fluff/SkinnyKate/Hypo Hippo - Thank you guy's for the words of encouragement. I really do like this site. Everyone here is really friendly. The $800 is mine
