I started a journal about a year ago, but I haven't done anything with it and I'm even 20 lbs heavier than I was then. Ugh.
So this is my 2008 journal. I'm now 194 lbs at 5'7.
My name is Angela, and I have two incredibly handsome boys (and a handsome husband
). My boys are 2 years old and 4 years old so they keep me busy busy busy! I also work as a casual long term care aide.
I'm taking part in the Body Transformation contest here on thsi site and I am super stoked! I am going to lose weight and tone up. I have set my weight loss goal to 144 pounds which may go up a few pounds or down a few pounds. It really all depends on how I'm feeling. Three years ago I lost a lot of weight and got down to 153 and felt wonderful.
I am shceduled for a consultation for a breast reduction in the next four or so months, so I need to lose weight (when I lost weight before, my chest size never went down at all). I'd hate to get the reduction done now and then lose weight and shrink to an A cup (no offense anyone!). If I did decide to go ahead and get it done, I want to be in the best shape possible because of the medications and such.
I want to be a good role model for my children. I don't want them to have the struggles with being overweight. I don't want them to be teased all throughout school because they were fat. I don't want them to feel as crappy about themselves as I have.
For the past four years I have put myself on the back burner. I had my first son four years ago, and my second son two years ago. There's no doubt about it, my kids get their needs met before mine. I need to give myself a little bit more time though. I feel about 20 years older than I actually am, and I feel that I look older than I am. So I'm hoping when I lose weight, I will look younger. And hopefully I get out of this mom fashion (ugh, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hair in a ponytail).
Anyways, in my journal I will probably just ramble on. I'm good at rambling.
Here are my pictures from a couple of days ago:
So I really want to lose weight all over. Get rid of my big butt, love handles, chest. I do have nice calves though

but now I've been doing really good. I know it'll slow down, and i hope it does because i know 6 lbs in a few days isn't good.
Serves me right for not reading the box.
So I will be getting my husband to screw a 2x4 to the top of the doorframe by the kitchen. Hopefully that will work.
