Angela's Diary

Nope. I've never seen it.

Apparently I need to in order to converse with my friends . . . :p

Good lord woman....
That is seriously one of the better movies out there. I demand that you see it!
Actually not demand, request.
Well, not request really- I would like it if you would see it.

There :D

Ya'll ganging up on me . . . should be ashamed! Ashamed I tell ye!

Okay, okay. I will watch it.

And I'll take good notes.

Maybe even write a report. :D

*walks in with broom and mop to clean the dust off this journal*

Okay, okay, I've not posted anything of substance here lately. I know, that's not a good thing. I woke up this morning with the realization that I am now 39 days away from the big day and I need results. I need to keep a food journal to keep myself accountable. You know, I do really well all week long. No problem, Mon. It's the weekends that gets me. I get out of the house and run around and end up eating out more than I should. Other times I get busy doing stuff with the kids or doing wedding stuff that I just forget to eat and by the time I do, I overeat because I'm so hungry. Sometimes I make healthy choices, sometimes I don't. Either way, though, I'm pretty certain I eat more than I should on the weekends. I have got to stop doing this. I plan to purchase some light weight clothing to wear to paradise (apparently even paradise is hot and humid!) so I want to be able to purchase things smaller than what I am wearing now. I have got to be strong and make a plan and keep it. Anyone can do anything for thirty days, right? I will buckle down and concentrate on the next thirty days and then figure out where to go from there.

Have a great day everyone! :waving:

Breakfast: SF oatmeal w/ cinn, banana slices, milk.

Angela, I'm with you. I want July to be kicking! I have a few weekend getaways planned, but they should have enough heart pounding stimulation to make it healthy. :biggrinjester:

I fell into that same trap yesterday. I under ate all day. Two bowls of cereal and two cups of coffee is it till 6pm. Then I met with a friend and had a scotch, just one. Next thing I know it's 9:30 and I still hadn't eaten and I'm ordering steak kabobs. Oh, well. Time to make up for it, right?

Yup - and I'll even be a great friend and let you work off some of my calories while you're at it!! :D

And July will be kicking! We are going to behave ourselves and see a good loss! I've already put in my order for NO birthday cake. lol

Well, I survived the holiday/b-day weekend with minimal damage, I think. We went out to eat Saturday night but I drug me sorry arse to the gym first - a preemptive strike, if you will. I played in the pool with the kiddos a lot yesterday, which hopefully off-set the grilled burger a little bit. All in all I am pleased I didn't go too overboard.

I got up this morning and went to the gym. I have been using the elliptical, which is a big step for me. Once upon a time I couldn't even do a whole five minutes on the thing without gasping for breath and feeling as though my legs would fall off. I'm up to two miles right now. I will stay at two miles this week then increase it to 2.5 by the weekend. It gives me a much better workout than the treadmill, which is what I need. I also got a Bender ball and tried that this weekend. That chickie on the DVD worked my tail off. My poor abs were quivering by the time we were done - but it was actually a pretty good feeling. My neck was a little sore after a while, but I think a neck roll will help with that. Mike and I have made a deal with one another - I promised to go to the gym at least four days per week in the month of July and he promised to do ab work at least five days per week. We'll see how that works. :D

Anyway, off to work. I have no idea how I fared on my billable time compared to the others last month since the report hasn't yet come out, but I have my fingers crossed. I at least out-billed myself from June, so I made progress. :D

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

so would you say that thing isn't a gimmick like the other exercise crap you see on tv???

happy birthday by the way :)

Thank you!

Matt told me he used the one at his gym and saw results. Otherwise, I wouldn't have ordered it. I am by no means an expert but I know my abs felt well worked out when I was finished. It was much easier and put much less strain on my back than doing regular crunches. I'll let you know if I see any results in the next few weeks.

Um, perhaps I said too much? Lol. In any event, if it doesn't work I'm only out $12. That's not much to pay for good results . . . or a lesson learned, however it plays out. :p
