6-week update
I started this thread 6 weeks ago. I am evaluating what I have done in that time. I have not lost an appreciable amount of weight. My ticker says that I have lost 4 pounds, but I won't say that's accurate. I started at 165 pounds, and on any given morning, I could have lost or gained 5 pounds from the day before. (this morning, post-shower, pre-breakfast and drink, no clothes, I weighed 163 lbs) That's the way I've been for as long as I can remember. It all depends on how much water I drank the day before, the accuracy of my old bathroom scales that I probably paid $10 for at Wal-Mart, the current phase of the moon, who the heck knows? So, I think it safe to say, that I haven't really made any progress at all. I'm not totally bummed, though. I'm not in it just for the weight loss. I'm in it for the long haul. I'm in it for an improved, healthier lifestyle. Nobody can stick to their "diet" 100% of the time, and I am certainly no exception. I have not listened to my own advice. I didn't keep my meals and portions organized in the last week, and it has caused my failure (on a daily basis in the last week or so, I usually do well for my snacks, and two out of three meals, and then go completely overboard on one of those meals). I haven't kept up with my exercise everyday. I've only done one workout in the last week. I've been a personal embarrassment to myself, therefore, I have not been posting daily updates to my journal here on weight-loss.fitness. I just have to pick myself up and keep going, and do better.
