Hi all,
It is time for me to start a diary. I have been struggling for the past few weeks to get started with a diet and working out.
Today I have decided that this is it. No more excuses :)

I will try to update this daily. I will take a picture, and write down my diet and workout. If you have any advices please don't hesitate to let me know.

For today:
Weight: 187 lbs
Diet: Breakfast: cup of cereal (250 calories) + one apple (75 calories)
Lunch: Fish (200 calorie) + steamed vegetables (100 calories)
Dinner: Turkey Sandwitch (350 calories) and some sort of fruity snack (175 calories)
Other snakcs: turkey slices (50 calories) and two apples (150 calories)

Total: 1350 calories

Workout: 30 minutes of swimming
 
I'm so jealous that you either 1) live somewhere that's warm enough to swim in an outdoor pool, or 2) have access to an indoor pool. I love love love swimming as my workout. The time seems to go by faster.

Reasonable day today, but nothing spectacular

Calories consumed: 1850 :eek2:

Workout: 45 mins on the bike (calories consumed: 450) + 30 min weight lifting

Looking forward to a better day tomorrow :) By the end of this diary, I will be posting pics of my new six pack :)fingers crossed) :D

ETA: Thanks Wittbound for stopping by. It was an indoors swimming pool. It is 25F here, and we are all freezing. lol :D

How much are you hoping to lose, out of interest? Hope you're well today--Don't beat yourself up about not working out--just try again tomorrow!

I am currently 186lbs, and hoping to become 160lbs! 26lbs to go!

Had a reasonable day yesterday. Calorie count was 1450, but no workout either. I will be doing more workout today. promise
 
Having a really good day so far
Did 90 minutes on the bike (machine says calories consumed: 800 :cheers2:)
Felt good, so I decided to treat myself to the 1160 calorie McDonald's Chocolate Triple Thick Shake (). Ok. just kidding. I did NOT! :rotflmao:

Actually... calories consumed today: 1500

Weighted myself today, and I am 184lbs. So i lost 3 pounds this week

Will try to go swim tomorrow. Can't wait.

I consumed 1300 calories today. A new record :) Though I am worried I am eating too little. I probably have to increase
No major workout though :( Just walking for like an hour

Will do more biking tomorrow :)
 
Did two hours on the bike today!! Machine says I burnt... wait for it... 17 calories. Nope. just kidding... Actually it said... 960 calories :reddevil: I feel strong. I am really doing it :) You know what rocks? Those bikes that you can connect to your Ipod touch and play a video on the bike screen. They keep you going and going specially if you put a good movie you have never seen

Also calories consumed: 1600 calories. It is good... It is good... <Jim Carrey> It is goooooood </Jim Carrey>
 
Hmmm... I am trying this low carb thing today after hearing from a couple of people in the forum. I have to agree i didn't feel hungry at all even though I was eating less. Mostly ate turkey slices, fish and some greenpeas, and a slice of cheese.
Total Calories consumed: ~1100
Workout: Did 15 minutes of running followed by 1.5 hours of weight training.

Didn't weight myself though. I will wait ;)
 
Keep it up someone! As you've posted your progress, its looking awesome! Low carb could be an indeal goal. It makes a world of differance when you have to limit your carb intake lol believe me. As long as you make up the differance with some good protein fish, chicken, turkey hell even pork has a high source of protein then you'll do just fine! You want to gradually get there though. You do not want to make your eating plan to the point where your setting yourself up for failure.

Make small choices like switching white to wheat, switching wheat to whole grain. Switch from white pastas to wheat pasta.. 2 slices of bread to 1 slice.. No matter how you do it, not eating junk food, sodas, fried foods.. your already a mile ahead of the game. Keep up your intensity and you'll have awesome results!
 
Grrrr... stupid friends insisted I go home with them instead of going to the gym. Calories consumed: 1650
Workout: none :(

One thing's true, there's always a brand new day!
 
This was a good day.
Went to gym. Did 20 minutes of running (burned 300 calories), and weight training afterwards. Ate 1400 worth of calories. We had sushi for lunch today, but I turned it into sashimi, by extracting the fish and throwing away the rice. lol
 
Alrightie,
Friend invited me to have dinner at his home. Knew it was gonna be lots of food. I went to the bike and worked for one hour. Burnt 550 calories.
Then went and ate tons of food at his home :(
Total calories for today: 2100 :eek: but i guess the bike sort of balances things out.
 
Normal day. Didn't go to the gym though :ack2:
Total calories intake: 1750
It is interesting. Since I had a lot to eat yesterday, I felt that by inertia, i want to eat more today. I should really find a way around these weird mind games!

I plan to go swimming tomorrow. Can't wait :D
 
Hmm... went a little bit far today... maybe too far.
Calories consumed: 670!! :eek:
Also, stayed on the bike for 80 minutes: burnt 570 calories

so, the sum for today is... 100 calories!! wow
 
Alrightie. Today was a nice day. Total food consumed: 1500 calories, but also went to the gym for 2 hours with a friend, and we did fantastic with the weights.

I weighted myself today and I am 183, which is really weird. I am hitting some sort of a plateau for some reason, but I don't understand why. I am eating very few, and exercising a lot! Oh well

Had a great day today. Spent 70 minutes on the bike.
Total food consumed: 1300 calories

I weighted myself after the bike, and I found I was 180.7 lbs. I am thrilled to be entering the 170's club soon :D
