Well, here goes.

This is me at the heaviest I will ever be in my life. On the 20th of every month I will be posting an update pic. In the meantime, I am going to rant, rave, and strategize here. Please feel free to join and give me feedback. I'd love to hear it. :)

Today.. I have been CRAVING this box of chocolate donuts we have in the house. I want to throw it away, but it's not fair to the boys (aka my boyfriend and his brother -- they're grown-ups, so I can't throw away their food, ya know?). A bit healthier, but probably not the best solution-- I had some oatmeal cookies with milk. Maybe 4.

Everyday I also take a One a Day weight smart. It hasn't helped much yet, but I haven't been doing much to give it room to work.

Today my food consisted of:

1 banana
1 bowl of plain oatmeal with a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon (1 serving size)
1 half of a small iced caramel latte from Dunkin Donuts
2 breaded porkchops and steamed brocolli
1 half a can of New England Clam Chowder (~190 calories)
1 orange
4 Oatmeal cookies and about a glass of milk
1 can of coke

Hmmm.. it feels like I ate so much more today. I guess I didn't do too badly as far as overeating goes -- I could've done with 1 less porkchop. Also my nutrional choices weren't so smooth.

Tomorrow
I am not going to have any soda, dunkin donuts or oatmeal cookies. And I am going to watch my portions big-time.

Breakfast: 1 egg over-easy and 1 piece of whole wheat toast w/ light butter and a banana
Snack: A handful of baby carrots (uncooked)
Lunch: PB & Apricot preserves on whole wheat toast
Snack: 1 cup lowfat vanilla w/ granola mixed in
Dinner: A few slivers of london broil and steamed string beans

My schedule is pretty easy tomorrow. I'll be going to an interview for 10AM. So I'll be up by 7:30AM and out the door by 8:45 (I like to be on time). I'll eat breakfast at home and pack baby carrots for the ride. I'll be home in time to make lunch at a normal hour then perhaps go walking for an hour after my food digests.

Okay guys and gals. Here goes nothing. Wish me luck! :)

Hi there! Yeah, I think fruits and veggies are my missing link.. I barely used to eat them.. now I'm trying to incorporate them more and more. I just need to make myself love them.. haha.

Heyhey! Welcome!

Ha i was wondering where to post. Cos I tot I saw two threads.

What's london broil? Is it meat?
I am sure u'll do well with lots of fruits and veg.

We are not really into donuts where I live.... I don't understand why Caucasians like them so much. It's sooooo sweeeeeeeeeeeeet to the point I wana puke it out of my mouth lol.

How old are your boys?

Not fair to the boys? Which is less fair? Getting rid of them now, while the kids are healthy, or getting rid of them later, when the kids eat too many and need to lose weight?

Not trying to be mean, here, but that's what I kept saying. It wasn't fair for me to throw out the honey buns. BS. Everyone in my house is gonna get healthier. Skinny people can be fat on the inside if they eat poorly. Toss 'em. Do your boys a favor and don't enable them to go through what you already have to go through now.

Be strong!

I wish I never knew about donuts. They're the bane of my existance. Well, the chocolate ones anyway. :rotflmao:

London broil is like a big piece of steak (I think). One piece serves many. I'm not sure how to describe it, but I just season it and cook it to medium rare. Then serve it in thin slivers.. Kind of like roast beef.

Aaand my boys are actually my boyfriend (24) and his brother (19).. hahaha. I guess I worded that funny. They are wise-cracking, skinny, junk-food addicts.. so they don't make my mission any easy. But Chris (my boyfriend) loves me for me, which is important. But yeah. :)

And I suck at posting today. I must be nervous. I never make this many errors on message boards.

I'm sorry, I posted that vaguely.. The boys = my boyfriend and his brother. Both grown men. I can't throw their food out.. they'll probably jump me or something. :rotflmao:

I see. Make them hide it. Or you hide it. It's fun to make them scavenger hunt for their food while you get your nice healthy food. Watch out for revenge. GOOD LUCK!

That's a good idea! They're real moody sometimes, but I'm sure it'd be amusing to watch them wrestle over who ate all the donuts. LOL.

I consider today as an absolute failure as far as dieting goes.

I stuck to my breakfast plan: 1 egg, 1 piece of toast, and a banana.

Lunch time rolled around and instead of making a sandwich I finished a small bowl of chicken/pasta salad. Definitely not low cal. That stuff has so much mayo and oil in it. Ugh.

Then I was disappointed that I did that, so I figured tomorrow should be my starting day for my diet instead and had 2 donuts. If I could kick myself in the ass I would. :boxing:

At least the junk food is pretty much out of the house now.

I also deviated from the dinner plan and had sushi instead. An eel roll, a salmon roll and some miso soup. I'm done for the day as far as food goes. If I get hungry again I'll have an orange. I can't believe I did that though.

I didn't get to walk either because it has been raining on and off all day. I'm going to do a workout dvd instead.

Hey, awesome diary =D

Sad to hear that you didn't quite control yourself today, but it happens you know?
You'll control yourself better as you go further in your diet..atleast from what I've experinced so far.

How many cals are you eating btw? I don't know if you said how many or not..

Thanks for the feedback! :)

I was trying for about 1400, then gradually down to 1200. I just need to work on some different options so I can stick to it, I guess.

I'm an optimist, so I'll do with you what I do with my friends who look at life a little bit more pessimistically, if that's ok: I'll give you two positives.

1. At least you got in a lot of protein.

2. Now you know that it feels poopy to fall off the wagon.

With my friends, I make them give me two positives. And then we pray. But I'll take it easy on you for now, especially since I don't know your religious beliefs.

You CAN do it. One day at a time.
