Im hoping to lose 80 Lbs.
Im hoping to lose it all by September 2009
Excersise. Eating Less.
My brother in law and I will go to the gym every other day.
Very Realistic...i think?

ABOUT ME=
Im Amber. Im 15. I live in a town you dont want to be in. My favorite things to do is play the sims. And or Myspace. I need to lose weight. Its a MUST! Im sorry this is kinda boring. but i didnt know what to put. So here it is.

As of 1/9/09 I am 5'4, 195 Lbs. My BMI is 33.40. I Am in the Obese Catagory.
My ideal weight is probably about 120 ish. Leaning towards the lower side of that ish hopefully. In about 4 or 5 monthes im hoping to be about 160. Diabetes runs in my family, I dont want to have to give myself needles every time I eat. (Has an aphobia of needles.)Obstacles I have to face in my quest for skinnydom is my dumb brother in law flawnting his skinnyism and my unsoportive family leaving junk food everywhere.Ive always had a weight problem, Well since about the 5th of 6th grade. But i believe now my weight has been enhanced because of the stress at home and the stress with keeping grades up at school. My life is somewhat crazy, so eating right is vary low on my priorities. But now its at the top of that list.The main lifestyle changes i want to make are, not eating when im hungry, and EXCERSISING! The last time i lost weight, i was about 11 or 12. At that time i only ate when i was hungry and when i did eat it was only vegetables. I think, believe it or not, that drinking tons of water did not help me in the past. Because then i was going to the bathroom all the time rather than excersising or doing something constructive.My favorite meal is Over Cooked Hottdogs. So getting rid of those is gonna be hard. But im gonna try what ever i can.I dont go out to eat often...But when i go out to eat its probably to La Hacienda.My three favorite foods are probably hottdogs, Chili, Porkk.I dont have favorite restraunts. Which is kind of weird considering that most fat people have favorites.

If i woke up tomorrow and my body was perfectly the way i wanted it. I would probably have small thighs and no stomach...but have the same size boobs....
Sometimes i eat when im not hungry...Okay make that all the time. Im rarely ever legitametly hungry. But i eat alot.
My main problem is the computer. I eat while playing it...ALL THE TIME.






FOOD ATE TODAY=
Breakfast: Left over Hamburger Helper.
Lunch:Couple (3-4) pieces of Terriaki Chicken stuff.
Snack: 5 Fish Stick thingys.
Dinner: Mcchicken.
Snack: Handful of Chips.

You can do it Amber! Even if I have to kick you up to butt to motivate you! ;-) Your target is do-able, you just got to stick at it, which in my eyes is the hardest part. But you can do it because you're awesome ^_^

I know how it feels to have non-supportive family, but what you should do is do what I do. Resist temptation of what they have, make your own food. You don't even need to drastically change what you it, it's the portions. Which was a huge problem for me, I could eat and eat and never ever feel full or I'd just eat for comfort.

And motivation, huge issue you need motivation for this to work. Just thing how slamming hot you'll be by september! :D That's my motivation! Even buy a nice pair of jeans thats two sizes smaller, you can look at that and think, damn I'm gonna get into them!

Well, im not sure how to like, add on to this? So im just doing a reply to it=D

Its 1-10-09 and ive already half cheated=// and I feel horrible about it. When i woke up i had 1 piece of toast. I was so proud i didnt put jelly or anything on it. Then we went out shopping. My family wanted to stop at KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken for all you who are blessed to not have one near you.) Well, I ate with them. I had boneless chicken, jojo's (Like french fries), and diet pepsi. But after i felt horrible. So im probably just gonna have toast for dinner.

Breakfast- 1 Piece whole wheat enriched toast
Snack-Missed
Lunch-KFC =[[
Snack-None
Dinner- 1 Piece whole wheat enriched toast
 
Starving yourelf is just going to lead to more binge eating. I thought that was the solution too, but thankfully I was corrected early on. It doesnt work, it wont work, and it will just set you up for failure.

I was 210, 5'6'', so I was kindaaa similar to you. I slowly got away from junkfood, and started eating better. ALL I did was eat better. I got down to 170 that way.

You seem a little lost, so heres some suggestions for healthy meals!
Breakfast- 3 Eggs and a piece of wholewheat bread
Lunch- Energy bar and a piece of fruit
Snack- Organic tomato soup and... um.. tuna
Dinner- Brown rice and some turkey burger
Midnight hunger pangs- Piece of fruit and lots of water. Deal with it. :D

Ahhh. Hamburger Helper was my favorite too, that was dinner at least once a week. :D Wouldnt touch it ith a ten foot pole now.

Your parents are unsupportive? Thats too bad, sorry about that. I would suggest slowly introducing healthy alternatives into family dinners or what have you, like white rice---> brown rice. Hamburger----> turkey burger. Coke---> Water. Chips ---> fruit. And if they wont take to that, then just ask if you can buy some of that the next time you go grocery shopping, and make it yourself. Its not as disgusting as it sounds I promise.

Dont do cheat days if you have them already. Its a bad idea and makes you crave the food even more because the next day you cant have it, and is against the whole notion of a lifestyle change.

One last thing! *deep breath* Instead of eating at the computer(unless its a meal and not a snack), bring a big cup of water and drink that instead.*

Please consider everything Ive said, Ive said everything that has helped me, and hopefully youll get some better food ideas from this! Take care!

Day 3

day 3 of my weight losing experience.

So far ive lost 1 pound! Im SO happy! I havnt even started excersising yet!
I feel Amzazing! I know its only 1 pound! but its amazing!

I think i may be eating to little though.

Breakfast-Whole Wheat Bread
Snack-water
Lunch-Whole Wheat Bread, with an egg
Snack-None
Dinner-Whole Wheat toast, with Almond Butter, and 1/4cup Rice


Can i get some opinions on my diet? Places i should add or change my food intake. It would be greatly Appreciated! Thanks=]

Yes, youre losing weight, but thats because youre starving yourself. Id be surprised if you could keep eating this little for a week, because Im pretty sure that youll become so hungry youll go mad, binge eat like a crazy person, feel discouraged, and give up on your "diet".

Start calorie counting and try to stay at 1200 calories each day. You WILL lose weight that way, because compared to your old diet, this will be way less in calories.

And for the love of God, stop eating so much bread. Youll get constipated.

Bread is my favorite food EVER. Ive never gotten constipated before. :p
I appreciate your concern, but ive eaten 500 calories or less for 2 weeks straight and i didnt binge. I lost 1 lb total, but i didnt binge. I got to pale and shiz, my mum made me eat. =D Thanks for the concern though.
 
You got "pale and shiz." Do you see this as a.. hmm.. bad sign maybe? Maybe because youre being just as unhealthy as if you were eating junk food everyday?

I appreciate your advice. I have tried it. I promise. (Egg at Lunch.) I just dont wake up in time to cook a full breakfast before i eat lunch. I dont want my meals to be to close together.
 
okay, enjoy your bread, that's fine. but add more food to your diet. yes you've lost a pound, but living on 500 calories a day is starvation. your body will consume the fat to stay alive, but it will also start consuming your muscles and organs. My mother was anorexic off and on for 2 years. it not only screwed up her eating habits to this day, but any time she tries cutting calories a little bit (25 years later) her body goes into starvation mode immediately and she GAINS weight.
Kate was right in suggesting you increase your daily calories to 1200. that way you're at least getting enough nutrients to keep yourself healthy and not destroy your metabolism later on in life. you're young enough now that this kind of damage can follow you for the rest of your life. I'm not trying to be dramatic or treat you like a child, i'm just trying to explain to you why what you're doing right now isn't healthy. you'll get short term results for a little while, then things will probably get worse.
Not having enough time to make breakfast is a common thing nowadays, but you have time for lunch, dinner, and snacks. There is no way you don't have time to eat more than 3 slices of bread, an egg, and 1/4 cup of rice. I eat about 3 times that much in a day and I'm still losing weight. just give it a shot, your results might slow down, but at least you'll be doing it the healty way not the destructive way.

Okay first of all....WTB Dictionary? Lol.

So i finally know how much i should be eating. So ive turned over a new leaf. I even woke up an hour early to fix myself breakfast. *sob* AN HOUR EARLY! So today, im fixing myself a main lunch and im going to buy an apple/and or orange at school today. =D Its gonna be hard at school today, hard to not buy the 1.00$ French Fries that i have grown so fond of. But i can resist! Cross your fingers.

Anyway. Today for breakfast i made myself oatmeal and an egg with a piece of toast. And for lunch im making myself a vegetable stir fry thing. Im hoping it will be good.

Well. Yesterday did NOT go well. and im worried about today.
My older sister is moving out, and believe it or not. Its stressing me out.
Im on high alert for emotional eating. =// Im going to make my dad a list of food to buy me. Thats healthy=] He actually said he wants to help! ALERT THE NEWS! :D

Yay for your dad helping, that's great. Don't let yesterday get you down, you CAN do it, just keep plugging away! Try to figure out what your main temptations are and see what you can brainstorm to counteract them :)
