AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

Just grin and bear it I guess. :biggrinjester:
For the most part I don't worry about what my hubby thinks of my fashion sense.
He's still wearing clothes from the last decade. And let me tell you it is definately outta style! LOL
You just gotta love 'em!

Actually, he brought me lunch BEFORE commenting on my purse and boots. Ah, well. Men. What can ya do?

My H tells me all the time whether or not he finds my clothes attractive. But since he's desperately fond of a hideous blue sweatshirt that he found along the road while out walking, I don't pay much attention to it. :D

Yeah, James and I don't always see eye to eye on clothes! But I'm always the right one! :D

I'm sure the purse and boots are cute!

And he gets credit for lunch! :)

I bought a cute new purse today (a red coach knock-off). My husband said it is kind of hideous. I then showed him these adorable boots I want and he said they are fugly and people will laugh at me if I wear them. I told him this is not a good way to earn points.

Yes, isn't it unfortunate that everyone's entitled to his own muthafuckin opinion! Too bad we can't be humored all the time! My BF called a pair of sandals I owned incredibly tacky. They were, but I still liked them :p

I love the Love Story!!!! :beating: Congrats on the wrap dress that's oh-so-fabulously inexpensive! HUGS!!

Hi Amber

My hubby is more aware of fashion than I am - but if I liked something and bought it I would wear it just the same whatever his comments.

It is sweet the way your hubby runs around after you - it reminds me a lot of my hubby - especially when he was younger.

Good luck at the scales tomorrow.

Take care
Love

Well....I am going to assume that since my weight has gone neither up nor down any day this week, that tomorrow I will get neither + or - 2 pts for the challenge.

This has been a hard week for exercise, with 2 christmas parties, my students winter program, a pta meeting, a staff meeting and a previously scheduled dinner with friends. I BARELY got my exercise in. Yikes. I am usually way over, but not this week. Which may have something to do with the scale not moving...

I shopped tonight in case I get snowed in this weekend, which is looking possible according to forecasters. I have heard everything from 1-4 inches to 8-20 inches (which seems like an awfully large spread, and I am now seriously doubting the talent of that meteorologist!).

Hehe--the meteorologists here have a hard time predicting the weather because of the lake effect. What's their excuse in Missouri? lol

I would say that maintaining this time of year is a heck of a lot better than gaining--which most people do. :)

I wore my new dress to church today and had my sunday school co-teacher take a full length photo for you to see! This is my body, 26 pounds down and NOT buried in mounds of clothes....

I posted my new dress pic in the pictures section, also to compare to pics taken at this time last year.

I must say, my husband, despite disliking my purse and boots, LOVES my new dress....

You're rocking that dress, Amber. It shows off your good curves--no wonder your H loves it. :biggrinjester:

I guess they got over 10 inches of snow on the East side of the state. We only got 5 inches here, though. That is strange b/c we usually get more since we're so close to Lake Michigan.

Loving the dress Amber!
And you look totally fab in it!!!
We got like 10"-11" of snow with some huge drifts because of the wind. YUCK!

Hiya

WOW you look great in that dress i love it

Maintaining is alway better than gaining esp this time of year so well done you

Sarah

Hi Amber

You look great in the new dress. A great style - brilliant for daywear with a top underneath and a great neckline for evening wear.

Maintaining should be considered a major success during December. It is hard to get the exercise in (I will not be walking this Thursday!!!!) and so many temptations about. I am sure that I have heard that a lot of people put on 7 pounds over the holiday period. If we lose nothing but gain nothing we have done really well compared to all those people.

Take care

Hey honey,

thank you so much for the Christmas cards! I got mine today and Sean got his the other day. He called me and was like, "Hey honey.. do you know an Amber?" "Yup.... why?" "Well, I think I might have competition. It seems she thinks you're the Hottest Hawaiian on your forum. I think she wants you." hahaaa! Smart ass. Sean appreciates it dearly and so do I, honey. Thank you, Amber girl! Love yas...

You are welcome for your cards! And, tell Sean he can have you thursday-tuesday, but on TLD, he has to fight through the all female orgy to get to you (and we fight dirty).

I just felt bad for Sean not getting cards, because they were all being diverted to you...I figured he would just think I was weird, but I am okay with that!

I did not make my christmas goal weight. Ah well. I tried. Legitimately, really, really, tried. I am not giving up, though. I will get where I want to be...it is just a slower journey than I hoped for.

I leave tomorrow for mom's. I won't be posting after tomorrow until friday. I will miss you all, have a safe and merry holiday!!
