AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

Well, Kimberly, the other area needs no embellishment, if I do say so myself!

Thanks, Val! I am trying very hard to get this weight off...healthily.

Total calories yesterday were 1595. 4 cups of veggies: 1/8 c. red peppers, 1/8 c. onion, 1 3/4 c. green beans, and 2 cups onions, peppers, tomatoes and balck beans on fajitas at dinner.

No exercise. I got caught up in the chiefs game (especially when it looked like we had a good chance!) and then a friend from Illinois called and was in town, so he came over...and then the gym was closed. But I will be back on track tonight with weights and cardio!

I left work early, as I was not feeling very well (headachy)...but the thought of not working out yesterday, today AND on thanksgiving was too much to handle. So I went to the gym anyway. I felt guilty leaving work and then going to work out...like if I felt like I could work out, why couldn't I stay at work...but, working out alone at the gym is entirely different than 4 more hours with MR elementary school children.

I did 30 minutes weights and stretching and 15 minutes cardio. I took it a bit easy, as with the headache, I did not want to elevate my BP too much. I did all my weights, but skipped abs, cut the cardio in half and only did 1.8 miles in 15 minutes (on the true stride, that is slow for me.)

I have had 1 cup of veggies today, but I am making tacos tonight for a friend's birthday, so the other 2 cups will be easy to get. (I eat my tacos without a shell these days. I will eat meat, cheese, salsa, sour cream, beans, tomato and onion on a bed of romaine (which now counts for the challenge).

YOU GO, GIRL! Your exercise dedication (not to mention veggie dedication! :ack2:) is admirable. You deserve to see success!

cheers

:iagree: You did good. I approve! ;) Hope your head feels great, later! :waving:

I sure hope so. I was down a pound from last week at my weigh in at the dietician's today, but still up from when I started my personal christmas challengs of 205...but movement in the right dierection for sure.

My measurements were a source of excitement today, though! They are not WAY down, but keep in mind that today, I weighed in at EXACTLY the same weight as I did last month, yet am down inches!

Measurements 10/20/07 11/19/07
Neck 14.5 14.25 (-.25)
Shoulders 44.5 44 (-.5)
Bust 46 45.5 (-.5)
Arms 14 14
Ribs 39.75 39.75
Upper Abdomen 40.5 40.25 (-.25)
Lower Abdomen 44 43.5 (-.5)
Waist 39.75 38 (-1.75)
Hips 47.5 46.75 (-.75)
Thigh 20.5 20.25 (-.25)
Calf 16.5 16.5
Ankle 9.5 9.5

All total: 4.75" this month (I probably would NOT be thrilled with this if my weight had dropped...but with the same weight, these made me super happy!)

I am down 40.25 inches from May, the first time I was measured.

Well, the thigh is measured four finger widths above the kneecap, not at the top, if that makes you less jealous!

I got my 3 cups today, but did not count calories. Counting the calories of everything going into my taco salad did not sound appealing. I had had 575 calories by dinner time. So, whatever the taco salad was in addition to that. My veggies were onions, romaine, black olives, tomato, salsa, and red and green bell peppers.

Ahhhhhh!!

Hey that's wonderful you pay attention to getting the 3 cups veggies everyday--I do most days but I never pay too much attention to macros--probably should but instead I just try to make every meal a healthy one with fruit or veggies. Anyway, you have a GREAT DAY! :D

Well...normally I do not pay attention to 3 cups, per se, but it is part of the christmas challenge this week! So, I am being diligent. Usually I aim for a serving of fruit at lunch or breakfast, and a serving of veggies at lunch and supper.

urg. I cannot stomach beets. There are a few things I cannot eat, and they make the list. Along with seafood, aparagus, okra and peas. Beets make my stomach churn, seafood tastes...well, like seafood...and the other three taste like snot.

Good job on the inches down Amba! That IS something to smile about, being so much smaller and knowing its all muscle and maybe even some added bone mass (a very healthy thing to be adding). What does H have to say about all this weight loss?!
