AmbaLove is Tracking the Journey!

Well, Sheryl, your wish is my command! Here are some pictures of my wreath. I had a hard time getting good lighting to show the whole wreath and still see the things that were on it. So I took some whole wreath and some shots closer of sections of the stuff. I did it in three different lightings, so hopefully some of them turned out!

I have always been a gym rat when I have a gym membership! I just love being at the gym, it makes me feel good.

And all the social suppers food has been very good so far! I did it last month, too and they had a maple cranberry pork loin to die for! I am cooking the pot roast right now in my crockpot. That will be dinner tonight.

P.S. It will only let me attach 5, so the other 4 are in the next post!

Hi AmbaLove.

Those wreaths look beautiful! I made a wreath once, in fact, I still use it for Christmas. I glued little presents on it. They are really fun to make.

I looked up Social Suppers, it sounds fascinating... but they don't have any in California. Hmm... maybe they have something similar here, I'm gonna have to try to look for a place like that.

You're doing great with all the exercise you're doing, wow!

Keep it up!

Jennifer

It's actually only one wreath, in a multitude of settings because I wanted a good picture for Sheryl. Thanks for coming by!

That wreath is gorgeous!!!
Geeze, I wish I was all super crafy and good at it like you!
My christmas cards will probably look pretty scary.
:D

Actually, my friend is the super crafty one, not me! I just follow directions well, and do what she tells me to do!

Well, off to the gym to lift and swim! Oh, and sauna, because it really helps my breathing. I love the sauna...

Hi
Wow, your wreath really IS gorgeous! Great job; I haven't started mine yet as I am still collecting the decorations for it. But yesterday my girls and I made our annual paper snowflakes; lovely, lacy things to hang in the windows and on cupboards. When we make our snowflakes I turn on our Christmas tunes for the first time. My poor DH hides in the basement in the den, not believing I am actually listening to Christmas music already! LOL What does he know? Ba, humbug!

Anyway, sounds like you're doing well. The social suppers sound interesting and fun (not to mention YUMMY!).

cheers

Yeah, ABBA, I can empathize. My husband hates Christmas and all things to do with it, other than the whole Christ's birth part. And transiberian orchestra. Other than that, lights, gifts, decorations, carols, they all piss him off.

I, on the other hand ADORE everything about the holiday season. Lights excite me. Trees make me happy beond belief. Carols make me smile. He accepts it, but he doesn't GET it.

I did go to the gym. I did 10 minutes on the treadmill, then lifted weights for 20, did abs and stretching for 10, used the true strider for 10 and swam laps for 10. I then floated lazily around the warm water therapy pool for a bit, then enjoyed a 20 minute sauna. All in all, not a bad afternoon. 60 minutes of exercise for the challenge, and I think I will be well within my calorie range today also.

Awww honey... thanks for posting the wreath pix. I LOVE it! It came out really well. :D You're so crafty (even if your friend gave you directions.. haha).

As for Christmas, I'm exactly like you and Kimberly. I adore lights, decorations, mistletoe, the smell of Christmas trees and freshly baked cookies... yummmm... Sean, on the other hand, loves Thanksgiving. He's not a big fan of the whole shopping deal for Christmas, which doesn't matter, because I don't let him go with me anyways. hahaaa Speaking of which, I'm planning to send out Christmas cards while I'm in Hawaii and I'd love to send you one if possible. (I have YET to reach a few others about this.. I should do it soon though. haha)

Well, calories today are within my range at 1697. However, I am curently peeved because all day today I have weighed 221.5. How on earth? I am drinking enough water, I am not constipated, my calories are fine, I am working out like a mofo. What does the scale have against me to ALWAYS jump up the day before official weigh in????

Yep, offical weigh in at dietician today has me up on the scale. She really believes it is water retention from all the decongestant I am on, so I am going to try with all my might to get off it soon...but breathing is such a habit I am in!

Today's total calories are in range at 1632. No exercise. First day in 5, and I know I will go the next 2, so I am not feeling too guilty.

Sorry to hear about the small gain. Hopefully your dietician is right about the decongestant making you retain water. Could also be your body adjusting to the new workouts. I bet you'll be pleased next week. :)

Hope your cold gets better soon!

Yesterday's calories were 1655. I did my weights for 35 minutes, stretches and abs for 10 and True Strider for 30, for a total of 75 minutes of exercise. I have yoga tonight, so I am gauranteed at least 60 minutes.

I am VERY proud of myself, though. In the 30 minutes on the True Strider, I did 3.6 miles, including a SIX AND A HALF MINUTE MILE. Even in high school, I could not do a 6 and a half minute mile!

I did not make it to yoga tonight...I got caught up in a school thing until right when yoga starts. Ah, well. I did go to the gym and book 3.6 miles in 30 minutes on the True Strider...but no 6.5 minute miles tonight. Too bad, I was rather happy about that.

Oh yah... decongestant's make me bloated, so I try to just drink real Japanese green tea to clear up everything. (Also.. it makes me piss like a race horse..lol) Good job with working out hard at the gym, girl. I'm sure if you keep to that intensity (regardless of what the scale reads at the moment), you'll see a drop in weight come next weigh in. :D By the way... thanks for the poem. It was like reading the perverted version of Dr. Seuss. LOL!
